Cry me a river 2007-03-31 01:02:19 Maddie went to spend the night at her best friend’s house. This has caused much crying amongst the remaining little girls that live here. They are quite sad that she has left them behind. Bless their little hearts but give it up already. Caroline has a suitcase packed and she has just announced that she is leaving. I may have to drink tonight.
New theme 2007-03-30 15:45:35 I downloaded and installed this little theme early this morning. It’s called “Coffee Chick” I think it suits the site quite well. However, I am not really feeling this background, though. It’s a little too…argyle? May need to change that out.
1K Tuesday at Pay Per Post 2007-04-03 17:23:33 This is super exciting, guys. Pay Per Post
is hosting a wonderful event called 1K Tuesday
for the entire month of April. That’s 1,000 smackeroos, folks! Do you think I need that money? You betcha. I got 4 kids who are eating me out of house and home and going through shoes like they’re nothing. Of course, there are plenty of bills I could pay. This money would really help out my family and prove to my husband that you really can make money by blogging. He’s such a skeptic.
Here’s how 1K Tuesaday works. Every Tuesday from 12:00am to 11:59 pm there will be one $1000 opportunity available to all Pay Per Post bloggers. Of course, they are not revealing when it will be up so that means constant checking in, refreshing of the page, etc… I think this is super exciting with me being so new to the program. It makes me wonder what other wonderful opporunities they will have for us in the future. So wish me luck on getting that $1000 opp!
So far, I hav
I’m a Fantasy Sports Widow 2007-04-02 22:08:43 The Hubs is a huge Fantasy Sports
junkie and has been for about the past 5 years. In fact, he is usually the “commish” of his leagues which involves managing the money, updating the websites, and many a phone call from his fellow league members. I don’t know if he’s ever heard of Rotoplay or not. I’m going to have to show it to him. I went and checked out the site and it looks like something he’d definitely be interested in trying out. Rotosports is pretty much a one-stop shop for all fantasy sports fans. They are also the only fantasy sports that offers short-term contests and fast payouts.
Right now we are in the very beginning of the baseball season. In fact, it started today. But things really heat up when August rolls around and football begins. That’s when he gets all crazy on me.
So if you know someone that loves to play fantasy sports online then tell them to check out Rotoplay.com

Spring Break 2007-04-02 16:39:35 The kids are on Spring
break this week.
The Hubs took 4 days off this week as well.
*sigh*
What this means is I will have 4 kids telling me how bored they are and a husband who is going to be saying cute stuff like, “what’s for lunch?” and suggesting stuff for us to do.
See, I don’t want to do anything. I do stuff everyday. I’m tired. I want to spend my spring break actually taking a break. You know, relaxing and all that jazz?
And, yes, I changed the theme again. Sue me, I’m fickle.

A tad bit stressed out today 2007-04-04 00:15:47 I fixed it. Go me!
I help run a message board, a fan board actually, and last night the database crashed. Have I mentioned that I know nothing about Mysql? This is not good. My co-admin is out of town taking care of her sick grandmother and is without internet access. I had to call and burden her with this shit. I mean, it’s not life or death or anything but I’d like to figure out how to fix this. I tried to repair it. No luck. I tried to restore the latest back up. Nothing. We are on a temp forum for now so the members are dealing well but still. I am posting the error in case anyone has any advice for me.

Way way behind 2007-04-06 14:04:58 I was just going through my Google reader and I am way behind
on my blog reading. Hopefully, I’ll be able to catch up this afternoon. I also have a few comments to reply back to. Being busy sucks!
Last night 2007-04-06 13:08:35 Last night, for the first time in over 10 years, my husband and I spent the night in our house without children.
Yes you read that correctly.
No kids.
They went to spend the night at his mother’s. Not because we were dying to be alone and shipped them off or anything. They practically begged to go. It all started last weekend when Caroline cried and cried because she couldn’t go with Maddie to her sleep over. My husband, trying to calm her down, suggested that maybe she could spend the night over at grandma’s sometime. Well, that started the whole let’s all spend the night at grandma’s ball rolling.
My husband’s mother is 80 but a very young 80. She’s not feeble, her mind is very good. Heck, she jets around town in her little sporty mini-SUV. You would never know she was that old. However, she is not one of those types of grandmothers who spoil and dote on their grandchildren. It never occurred to her to have them spend the night bu
Quickie post 2007-04-05 15:28:10 So sad Gina got the boot on Idol.
So happy that Hubs goes back to work today! I know, I’m mean but I need my routine back.

Bloggerwave 2007-04-07 21:54:00
There’s a new paid-to-blog service out there called Bloggerwave. I’ve enjoyed writing for other paid blogging sites so I just had to give this one a try so I signed right up. The money really comes in handy and I feel blessed to have these opportunities. So far it looks great and I’m really looking forward writing for them.
Confessions of a Pioneer Woman 2007-04-07 21:39:07 I found the most delicious blog thanks to a link that Plain Jane Mom posted a couple of days ago.
Confessions of a Pioneer
Woman
Go check out her recipes for her delicious looking strip steak sandwich and chocolate sheet cake. Oh and then there’s her lasagna. Holy Moly. Why do I have to be on Weight Watchers right now?
And other than cooking she’s a pretty daggum good writer too. Definitely looking forward to reading more about her life on the ranch.
Thanks for the linky, PJM!
Happy Easter! 2007-04-07 21:17:14 This morning I took the kids to an Easter
egg hunt at our church. I completely forgot my camera. I swear I was the only parent there without one. I always do this. It doesn’t even occur to me to bring one until I get somewhere and everyone else is snapping away.
The weather is so weird right now. Here it is April in Louisiana and it’s 40 degrees outside. It’s supposed to be in the 30’s tomorrow. This is the south…April is practically summer here!
Oh and here’s what’s really great about it. I packed up every stitch of winter clothes last week and had to dig out long sleeve shirts for everyone. I guess it would help if I’d been watching weather reports like a normal person then I could’ve waited a week or so to pack it all up.
My kids are going to freeze tomorrow in their Easter clothes. Oh well, whatcha gonna do? They’ll live.
Now, I’m off to read some blogs. Happy
Easter everyone!

The Tuesday that feels like a Monday 2007-04-10 16:07:34 So the kids went back to school this morning.
Last night I was getting them ready for bed and my oldest (he’s 10) is like, “I need to do my homework”.
Excuse me? It’s 9pm on the last day of Spring Break and you are just now deciding to do your homework? You never said a damn thing about homework. (OK, I didn’t say damn)
I was not a happy mommy.
First of all, this is the first I’ve heard of the homework. Second, what kind of idiot teacher gives homework during Spring Break?
I am so ready for summer. Sick of dealing with teachers, homework, school projects, and fees for this and that.
And then on a completely different note…I had to take my van in to get new brakes and it’s going to cost around $250 that we totally don’t have.
So Happy Monday
..err…Tuesday

As The World Turns: I used to love this soap! 2007-04-09 17:06:12 Growing up, I watched the CBS soap opera, As The World
Turns religiously. Back in the late eighties I loved the Holden/Lily storyline. I think they are still on the show. Well, since having kids I’ve given up soaps but will never forget days watchg ATWT with my mama. This was her favorite one and she watched it from day one.
I found out that CBS is having a great contest for As The World Turns fans called, “Win a Day With Brad & Katie“. The winner of this contest will get the treat of having the actors, Austin Peck and Terri Columbino, come to their home and perform their favorite chore for them. Also, the winner will receive a check for $5000! If I knew who these people were I might enter it. haha

Weight Watchers update 2007-04-11 23:46:38 I went to my WW meeting today and I lost 8 pounds from last week. How cool is that??? I literally quadrupled my water intake and I really think that’s what did it. I’m so happy. I’m down 10 pounds now. Yay me. *squee*
Totally changing the subject but I was not feeling the Latin songs last night on American Idol.
Blake was, by far, the best, in my opinion. He is one hot tamale.
Chris did pretty good but I he didn’t WOW me.
Sanjaya. Oh dear Lord, I can’t believe I’m saying this but his voice wasn’t bad at all last night. However, I wasn’t able to watch him because A) his hair was really jacked up and B) his facial hair was hideous and C) the way he was making googly eyes at the camera was making me want to vomit. He needs to go. Tonight. Please?
Melinda did not impress me at all.
Lakesha…..zzzzzzzzzzzz
Jordin was really good. She’s just so freaking adorable to me.
Phil, I’m afaid, is losing it. I sti Read more:Weight

Are you a D-lister? 2007-04-13 12:25:45
Several days ago I installed the Wordpress plugin, Do Follow. This plugin allows search engines to spider the comments. Why is it important to allow search engines to spider the comment area? Because when you leave a comment that includes your link to your blog the search engines will pick it up and it will improve your search engine rankings. If you want your readers to leave more comments this will certainly get them to do that.
Jill tagged me to do this so I’m spreading the word by adding some of my own links.
***Begin to copy here***
1. Write a short paragraph at the beginning of your post and link back to the blog that put you on the list in the paragraph. This isn’t a suggestion. You need to break up the duplicate content. Someone took the time to add you so the least you can do is give them an extra link back.
2. Copy the list of originals below COMPLETELY and add it to your blog. If you would like a different keyword for your blog then change it when you do you Read more:lister
How cool is this??? 2007-04-13 05:17:42 Remember when I posted about Babblz, a great new social site for parents and the drawing for delicious gift basket they were going to be having? Well guess who won? If you guessed me then you’d be correct. I’ve never won anything randomly in my entire life. This is so cool! Thank you Kendra and The Big Guy!
Nothing like a birthday party to ruin a perfectly good Saturday. 2007-04-15 00:16:58 We just got in from a little birthday party the twins were invited too. I really didn’t want to go anywhere today because it was all rainy and gloomy. Just a perfect day to hunker down with some movies and books and just be lazy. But, no, I had to get everyone all gussied up and go to this birthday party. Blech.
Oh and Aunt Flo today and I’m crampy and bitchy.
And I’m craving chocolate. That half eaten chocolate bunny I hid from the kids is calling my name and I’m trying so hard to resist.
OK, trying to take my mind off the bunny.
Last night Maddie and I watched The Nativity Story on DVD. I wanted to see it during the holidays but things just never worked out. We don’t go to the movies too often. Too expensive. But anyway, the movie was wonderful. Very touching. Highly recommend it.
Ugh…bunny, SHUT UP.

Oh Sanji… 2007-04-19 05:06:13 Well, Sanjaya got the boot and I don’t feel nearly as good as I thought I would either. That was probably the most emotional reaction from a contestant I’ve seen on elimination night. He actually broke my heart. He’s just a kid.
Oh well, I’ll get over it. On with the competition!

Bye Doggie 2007-04-18 19:55:30 I was driving through our neighborhood and found a sign nailed to a telephone pole.
LOST DOG
MALE SHORT HAIR
BROWN DACHSHUND
I called the number and the woman was so happy. She said her other dog has been so depressed. The kids are going to be upset but I warned them that I was going to continue to find his family and that he may not be staying very long. He has been the sweetest little thing. So well mannered. You can tell he’s loved.
Oh and his name is Roy.
I like Ace better.

Possible new family member 2007-04-18 13:00:00 On Monday afternoon we were in the backyard with the kids when this little male dachshund came barreling through the open gate. He had no collar and I’d never seen him in the neighborhood before. The kids immediately fell in love and begged to keep him. Well, here’s the thing. I don’t “do” dogs. As I child I was terrified of them. I’ve never had dog as a pet. I have no idea how to care for a dog!
I decided to start combing the neighborhood for the dog’s owners figuring I would see a little old lady in her drive way frantically looking for her puppy. I had no luck finding his owners. Nobody has even seen a dachshund around the neighborhood before. So we have absolutely no idea where this dog came from.
I ended up going to Target and getting him some food because he was obviously starving and trying to eat the cats’ food. He inhaled it in like 30 seconds. I also picked up a leash and collar so we could keep him from running of Read more:Possible
American Idol Top 7 recap 2007-04-18 11:42:35 Phil- “Where the Blacktop Ends”
This was, by far, his best performance. The judges were right. Country is his thang, baby. He nailed it.
Jordin- “Broken Wing”
Awesome beyond belief. This little girl’s got it goin’ on.
Sanjaya- “Something to Talk About”
LaKisha- “Jesus, Take the Wheel”
As much as I love LaKisha I just didn’t care for her performance. She was off key through most of the song and with her “big ole voice” she could have really nailed this it.
Chris R.- “Mayberry”
Terrible. Just terrible. I adore Chris but this was just not good at all.
Melinda- “Trouble is a Woman”
Absolutely fantastic. She nailed it. She looked awesome too. I like her new hair extensions. She needs the longer hair since she has no neck. Couldn’t believe Simon said “Lose the surprise.” This is what I’ve been saying all along!
Blake- “When the Stars go Blue Read more:American

What we did yesterday 2007-04-23 18:55:08 We took the kids to the airshow at Barksdale AFB yesterday.
Lots and lots of really big planes.
They all start to look alike after a while, don’t they?
Hubs and the twins. Good Lord, he needs a bra! LMAO
My babies.
Home of the $5 corndog! Ummm, I don’t think so…
The Thunderbirds all lined up and ready to go.
Oh, the Clydesdales were there.
They are some really big ass horses.
With some really big ass feet.
A good time was had by all. My face is burnt to a crisp, though. I managed to get sunscreen on everyone but myself.
Thank God THAT’S over. 2007-04-27 21:55:34 I just got back a little while ago from spending the entire day, from 8am to 2pm, at my kids’ school for field day.
I’m sunburned, I’m tired and just downright cranky.
The highlight of the day was when The Twins threw down a horrendous fit in front of the entire school because, get this…they didn’t want me to check them out early.
Isn’t that hilarious? What kid doesn’t want to be checked out early???
I guess I should be thankful they love school so much that they don’t want to leave.
But I can do without the temper tantrums, thankyouverymuch.
