Wirefly.com 2007-03-20 23:33:37 Wirefly.com is the largest seller of cell phones on the internet with the best deals I have ever seen in my life. I’ve been playing around over there for the past couple of weeks because we are desperately in need of a new cell phone. The one we have is prepaid and is used for emergencies only. I want to try one of their free cell phone deals but I have no idea what to choose. I’m not even sure what carrier is best. They have high quality free phones with a contract and on some of the phones they offer mail-in rebates in addition to the free cell phone offer so you actually make money on the deal. How cool is that? I would love your feedback on Wirefly because I am seriously wanting to get a free cell phone from here.
I know I want a camera phone with video capabilities. So far I’m loving the Motorola Razor. So sleek and lightweight. The Blackberry Pearl phone looks awesome too. It would be great to check email while sitting in the carpool line.

Quick update 2007-03-20 23:01:59 Nothing much has been going on today. The Hubs has been off the past 2 days and goes back to work tomorrow. He’s been mopey and lazy and well, I have 4 kids and don’t need another, thankyouverymuch.
Abby got her stitches out this morning. She didn’t even flinch. The doctor even gave me the stitches to take home as a keepsake. I was like, dude, are you serious??? He stuck them in between 2 pieces of scotch tape. I guess he was serious.
The 2 older kids have state testing all week so they don’t have any homework. I love it. I wish they didn’t make them do homework. It sure would make my life a lot easier.
Tonight is American Idol. We’ll get to see Blake “beatbox” his way through a song, and Melinda look so “shocked” and “amazed” when the judge praise her. Like she doesn’t know she’s good. I don’t buy it. Oh yeah…America? Please stop voting for Sanjaya. Thanks.

It’s all about me 2007-03-21 23:37:02 I joined Weight Watchers today. Something’s got to be done. I am 40 years old and bigger than I’ve ever been in my life. Time to start worrying about mama for a change. I want to be cute again dammit! Anyway, I joined and went to a meeting. I got weighed. Wasn’t surprised by my weight. I was actually 10 pounds lighter than the last time I weighed which was a year ago at the doctors office. I love my leader and made a couple of new friends. Tomorrw I’m going food shopping and officially starting on Friday. My leader said to take a day or 2 to read over everything before I start with the program. I’m excited! I need structure and the meetings will keep me accountable. Wish me well!
American Idol Top 11 recap 2007-03-21 12:24:47 Last night was pretty good and I have a few things to say!
Haley- I thought it was pretty good. However, I’m not quite sure it was good enough to keep her out of the bottom 3. She’s such a cute girl, though.
Chris R.- Did you see him making eyes at the camera??? OMG. LMAO. I shouldn’t laugh because Ace did that last year and it melted me. I actually liked his song. Good job, Chris.
Stephanie- Not much to say except it was a very boring performance.
Blake- That was some kinda sexy. Damn. “Whose your daddy?” You are, Blake, you are! I’m just kidding. That was a hot performance. To me Blake has the whole package and with or without Idol he’ll make it. I think I became a fan tonight.
Lakisha- Nice performance but a little blah to me. Sister can still sang, though.
Phil- Oh Phil. Stick to songs that show off your gorgeous voice! It was just a’ight for me.

TGIF 2007-03-23 23:34:07 Friday’s here and I am so damn happy about it. We are sleeping in tomorrow fo sho! All this getting up at the butt crack of dawn and nagging 4 kids for a solid hour to get dressed, put on your shoes, zip your britches, eat your breakfast, brush your teeth is for the birds. Tonight I’m letting them stay up as late as their little eyelids will allow them and I better not see their little faces before 8am tomorrow morning. Love ‘em to pieces but DANG..mama is tired.

. Yep, we sure did. We eloped! We got married at the lovely chapel at Treasure Island Casino. This was nearly 12 years ago and unfortunately we haven’t been able to get back to visit. I know it’s changed so much since then we would love to go back for a second honeymoon. My husband loves to gamble and has visited Las Vegas
several times before we met. In fact, he has worked in the riverboat casino industry for the past 13 years. What can I say…it’s in his blood. There have been times when we’ve chatted about the possiblity of transferring there someday. It’s nice to know if an opportunity ever arises for us then we will have a great resource when looking for Las Vegas homes. Millionsaver.com has listings for tons of homes for sale and and to rent. Lighting solutions for your home 2007-03-23 18:23:21 I’m the type that really hates a brightly lit room. I prefer soft, indirect lighting. I also find that my house looks a whole lot cleaner when it’s not all lit up. (har har…that was a joke) Anyway, I decided to check out some lighting options over at Premiere Lighting

Magic Secrets 2007-03-27 20:10:28 The twins went to a birthday party back in the Fall and the parents hired a magician to entertain. I’m telling you, those kids were mesmerized! They even gave out little magic kits to teach the kids a few magic tricks. When I was a kid I always wanted to learn how to do magic tricks. They make it look so real but as I’ve gotten older I’ve figured out a few of their secrets. It’s still pretty fascinating stuff….even for a skeptical grown-up like me.

Yes, those are homemade costumes and yes, I made them. Stop laughing. They are still my precious little pookie pies. Caroline is having a bit of a hair issue, though.

Weight Watchers update 2007-03-28 20:51:49 I went to my first WW meeting since joining last week. I lost 3.2 pounds. I was hoping for a bit more since it was the first week and all but I’ll take it. Journaling everything I put in my mouth has been a lifesaver. Charla, gave me lots of tips and ideas about different things I can eat. I’m going to the store tomorrow to restock my pantry with food for me. I would love any ideas or suggestions on low point foods from anyone who has had success with the program.

Granted, I was not a Chris Sligh fan but he’s miles better than Sanjaya. Very happy Phil was safe. I know alot of people don’t like him for one reason or another but I just love him. Especially when he keeps that head covered up. I just love Phil’s voice.
