And then there were 10... 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Yes, I am an AI fan. I have the first 9 digits of the voting line programmed into my phone. (Had to do that a couple seasons ago after a late night misdial! LOL) DH and I have spent up to 5 hours a week watching the fresh new talent and trying to predict who America will support with their vote. Tonight, we will say goodbye to another idol hopeful.
Back in the day, we had Star Search. Remember
American Idol: Ladies night, round 1 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Wow, 5 hours of American
Idol this week. I was too lazy to take 'notes' during the men's round
(lots of safe choices last night), but I will sit with my laptop tonight.
Stephanie Edwards
Great stage presence! She looked so comfortable on the stage as if she already a pro. Sings like one too. I loved her energy. Stephanie "brought it" as the first performer of the night and of the start of the Read more:American Idol

Peter's learning how to control his abilities
Is Claire's (adopted) father on to her secret?
GA 9/22 1970-01-01 00:59:59 When one gets accustomed to watching two or more Tivo'd episodes at a time, a much-anticipated, hour-long season premiere can go by too quickly.
I also watched the 6 Degrees premiere. I thought it might be interesting in case I ever find myself in NY. And, I've also had experiences where the 6 Degrees theory came into play. I'm not sure I'll continue watching it, but I gave it a try.

Lost "Two for the Road" 5/3/06 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I did not see that ending coming! The last 15 seconds shocked the heck out of me! I can guess where that story arc for the final episodes might head, but I am sure there will be more to it than what I can imagine. Wow.
Notable moments:
The connection with Jack's father and AL.
Jack's father opening the car door and accidentally hitting Sawyer.

Grey's Anatomy: Kate Walsh Spin-off 1970-01-01 00:59:59 A local news show announced that there will be a Grey's Anatomy spin-off to star Dr. Addison Shepard (Kate Walsh
). Interesting!
When she first arrived in Seattle, I was not fond of her character. After all, she was the ex-wife and I had come to love McDreamy and Grey together. Over time, I have come to like her character. Who couldn't help but laugh and feel sorry for her during the poison ivy Read more:Kate Walsh

Grey's Anatomy: "Sometimes a Miracle" 1970-01-01 00:59:59 *Spoiler Alert* if you have not seen Grey's 2/22 episode
Two Deaths and Two Rebirths
I heard this spoiler report (2 deaths, 2 rebirths) last week after the epi aired. I knew Meredith was the first death and I was very hopeful Mer was one of the rebirths. Title character - she had to be, right?
It would just make sense because Mer had reached rock bottom and her experience with Denny and Dylan ( Read more:Sometimes

Grey's Anatomy: "Drowning on Dry Land" 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I'm still in shock so I can't even write.
I've avoided spoilers, but dug for some after tonight's episode. Sadly, this is all not just a dream.
Check Shonda's blog post and Kristin's videos. I loved Shonda's comments about "these women" and the ferry boat. They weren't lost on me last week. They were in my "notes" but I didn't include them in my recap. I also loved the metaphors she included for Read more:Dry Land

Grey's Anatomy: "Wishin' and Hopin'" 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Kate Burton's [Dr. Ellis Grey] acting was amazing and believable in this episode. The writers added so much to her character during her short, lucid state.

American Idol: Top 10 Men 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Phil Stacey (29)John Waite's Missing You is one of my favorite songs from that era, so my expectations were high... and I really enjoyed his rendition! Sounded smooth and confident. I loved the tone of his voice and I felt it was a good fit.Jared Cotter (25)Marvin Gaye - Let's get it on. Another great song and I felt he sang it well. A couple off-pitch notes but noting too bad. A semi-safe song. I kind of agreed with Paula that he was borderline over-performing... Ryan sure looks short next to Jared.AJ Tabaldo (22)Great song choice for him. I thought it matched his personality and voice. I like that the song was slow in the beginning which showed off his tone and then built up toward the end which showed off his flexibility, range and strength. His performance seemed really natural. I'm so glad he had a good performance this week! I hope to see more. Pinoy-power ;)Sunjayan Malakar (17)He's such a cute kid. Maybe not quite an idol yet. His voice sounded good for the song, but didn' Read more:American

More on the Grey's Anatomy Spin-off 2007-03-01 21:40:00 Earlier I mentioned Dr. Addison Montgomery-Shepard (Kate Walsh) will be moving from the original cast to a Grey's spin-off. I read that handsome Taye Diggs will join her.Sources say the original cast is less than happy for their cast mate and that the spin-off will launch with a 2-hour show in May.Read more and comment
LOST: "Tricia Tanaka is Dead" recap 2007-03-01 19:09:00 After a few weeks focused on "the other island", it was nice to return to the beach and see our other favorite Losties. Jack was completely excluded from this episode (can you believe it?).Instead, we had a Hurley-centric episode and learned why he was in Australia. (I always wondered what brought him there!) I think his flashbacks are interesting because his connection to the numbers and the supposed "curse". I thought it was sweet to see his conversation with dead-Libby and I really wish TPTB would share more on their connection pre-island!If last week's episode object was Jack's tattoo(s), this week's focus was on cars. Hurley couldn't control his father leaving or returning and thus still had an unfinished car sitting in the garage of his multi-million dollar mansion.Meanwhile on the island, Hurley was able to rally support to get the old Dharma van rolled over and even started. For once, he was able to "beat" the curse and make his own luck - just as his father advised. From th Read more:Tanaka
American Idol: Ladies Top 8 Performances 2007-03-08 05:04:00 "8 contestants, 31 million viewers, one last chance. Who will you send into the top 12? The drama is about to begin [lower voice] and we don't have Paula right now... we'll find her right? [back at the camera] This, is American
Idol. Let's go!" - Ryan SeacrestJordin Sparks (Football face paint)Jordin looked so comfortable and confident on the stage this week. Her song choice let her show her rock edge and youth. Definitely showed much more vocal control than last week.Sabrina Sloan (Closet Katie Couric)Another performance showing off Sabrina's voice. Not my favorite performance. She did so well in the first week, but she hasn't shown improvement to me. Not that this is a "most improved" contest, but I expect that each performance builds upon the previous ones otherwise it becomes predictable. Good performance, but lacking 'Yo'.Antonella Barba (Fiddlesticks)Do they have someone new in the tech room? I could barely hear her voice over the band. Or maybe, she just can't sing with Read more:American Idol
