Many people are these days it would seem. But, I digress.This woman a little over eight years ago was in a terrible car accident. She suffered severe brain damage, she has no short term memory, and was also confined to a wheelchair. Because of this, her family is unable to take care of her, and was forced to put her in a long term care facility. Most of the calls were customers that have over drafted their account. Now don't get me wrong I feel for these people in a way, because banks charge insane fees for over drafting. But, most of the people that called were just ridiculous. The moment I ask "What can I help you with?", the first words out of their mouths are "Why is my account overdrawn?", usually with a smug 'why is the bank stealing my money' type of attitude. The first thing I want to say to these callers is "It's because you spent money you don't have you moron." Instead, I opt for the more polite "Sure, I can help you go over this situation". The one in particular that happens to be on the top of my list is when people think that it is cool to purposely "pop" their collar. What is the point of this? Chivalry...? 2008-04-08 17:52:00 Well, it has indeed been a few days.None-the-less...There has been an update on the status of the brain damaged woman that I ranted so angrily about a few posts back.Wal-mart, apparently, has stepped back, and decided to let the woman keep the money that was paid in from the insurance company.Yay!The executive vice president of Wal-mart said that it was one of those times that others helped give another perspective on the situation.
