1970-01-01 00:59:59
Why I'm here? It's very, very simple. This is my second blog. First I've created almost 3 years ago. It was new time: time of changes. But it was bad time. I was to weak to hold all this things around me.But.. it's past nowSo U asking me "why next blog"? so there are 3 simple answers:I want to test blogger.com. As I see its very, very powerful, highly customize but still easy to learn blog service;I like nice blogs. With simple interface and interesting contents;I waste too much time till now. Now I've got last chance to finally end something what I've started 7 years ago. Maybe it's my first and last post. Maybe it's just a test.Or maybe not..

Why Rounded Corners are so nice?
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Who know the answer? Recently, I've changed my template, because I'm still looking for nice CSS schema with WEB 2.0 style. Generally, I even don't know what "WEB 2.0 Style" mean but... :)So I was looking for nice free template based on CSS and XHTML. When I was searching some interesting layout I've realize that there are something about one million ways to get rounded corners in your divs! Or at least there are one million pages with tips how to do that. From my observation appear that there are several, common ways to get "rounded result":use image big image of rounded content and put it as a background in your div's id; use several images (cut your original image) and put them as a background in your several div's ids; use only corners images and split the CSS code with custom javascript code; I don't know which one is the best for me. Yet...I will let You know when I solve this problem. So why do we like rounded corners so much?

WidgetsOk. Now, when I've got rounded corners, and I know how I can round them in one million ways, it's high time to make step forward: get Widgets! And You know what? I've also found one million pages with/about widgets and some of them are really cool. For example Widgetoko. It's a widgets pit!. With very professional approach authors describes and catalogs all founded widgets.I was looking for interesting widget, but finally I've decide that this is not good place for that. Why? Sense of beauty :) I don't want to overload this page. I think that first rule in blogs creation is usefulness not appearance. Here is a short list of the most interesting widgets and widgets services that I've found: Blogarate.com - lest readers of your blog rate your blog posts MyBlogLog - discover who visit your favorite sites widgetbox - free huge widgets library for blogs and also MySpace YAHOO! widgets - Widgets for Your desktop Apple widgets - Widgets for Your Apple desktop :) netvibes - is

2007-03-11 01:47:00
Currently I'm looking for some nice features for WordPress blog engine. One of my friends ask me, to create simple but customized blog which is simple to admin and is nice-look CSS/XHTML . It's obvious that for advanced/high customize options I must pay, so I've decide to run WordPress blog engine on one of a local free hosting servers and check it in action. In next few days I will share with You my observations and conclusions about that. But, while I was looking for WordPress stuff, I found a few nice articles about web designing . So lets go!Multi-Column Layouts Climb Out of the Box by Alan Pearce. So there you have it: multiple columns, equal column heights, fixed or liquid center column, clean markup, and CSS. All it took was a little thinking outside the box. 15 CSS Properties You Probably Never Use (but perhaps should) by Matthew Inman (Oatmeal). After writing 5 HTML Elements You Probably Never Use (but perhaps should), I thought creating something similar for CSS was in order.

What is new in Web 2.0 by Serge Mankovski
2007-03-14 22:35:00
A few month ago Serge Mankovski on his blog wrote an interesting article about WEB 2.0. Now, after almost half year of our experience with different WEB 2.0 sites, we can compare present "knowledge" with past "wishes". And it looks pretty good :)However I think that more realistic scenario would be for WEB 2.0 site to become more interactive and become more like Virtual Worlds. I can see an AJAX-based virtual environment working across multiple Social Networks sites mushed-up into one system. It would have virtual reality graphics and rules of participation similar to a Virtual World. That would become a beginning Virtual World Web. How is that for an idea?

My new blog engine!!!

Due to usage I will add some new things, I think, but for now it's ready to use!So please, if you read me and you like my posts, let me know by using http://matisq.ooblez.com/blog/ as one of fav. blogs from now!
