Feud over an IPL ad 2008-04-15 06:07:16 It seems the fans have not liked the IPL ad in which a woman accuses a Chennai Super Kings fan of misbehaving with her.According to the ad, she herself is a fan of Kolkata KnightRiders.Some fans believe the ad reinforces stereotypes of a docile, South Indian male being bullied by a dominating woman.I personally feel that we should just laugh it off.I mean the IPL has not even started, and rivalries already.For all you know, perhaps this is exactly what the BCCI needed.Controversies have always given a great deal of publicity to those who are a part of it.Our great politicians are the best example.I wonder why IPL needs advertising in the first place, given that the dailies cover each and every event of IPL free of cost.Do you feel that the ad is offensive, or did you just find it funny??
