PAYPAL and EBAY 'LEGAL CROOKS' STEAL MY MONEY! 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I have become very frustrated over the three years or so I have been with Ebay & Paypal.I have had approx £400 in Paypal funds 'held' for no apparent reason. What right do they have to lock my money for 180 days?? I have never heard of a bank doing this so why the hell should Paypal? I have become almost totally reliant on my ebay sales & used Paypal (note I used the plural!) to collect my sales - Now all of a sudden I have been locked out of my account with no explanation. I have complained to the financial ombudsman about their practices as they are in breach of some basic moral / factual issues. If you have a Paypal account, be worried... They can freeze funds for no reason whatsoever & even after providing faxed documentation, passport, utility bills, suppliers information, they still have my money which will build up some interest for them during the 180 days for sure.I have started selling on a site called:The reason being if you use Ebay (or anywhere) & accept payment b

PAYPAL IN THE NEWS & IT'S ALL BAD NEWS AGAIN... 2007-04-24 17:38:00 Well...it appears the beast that is Paypal is upsetting many people including big corporate organisations. Only recently they AGAIN limited my account as they wanted my suppliers info & information regarding wheter the item I was selling was in stock. I supplied the web address, item number, order number, contacts name & address + company number as supplied by companies house. The firm in question is 1000% ligitimate, yet they say my items are 'high risk'Quote:"Dear XXXX XXXXXXX ,Every business must balance its exposure to risk with its business goals. At this time, we are not comfortable with the amount of risk your business exposes itself to.We would like to begin the process of ending our relationship in a manner that is least disruptive to your business. Please log in to your PayPal account and fill out the Limited Account Access form to let us know what to do with the funds remaining in your PayPal account."What can you do to make these bigots see sense? - my supplier is a pr

? The Bay of E does not allow Google Checkout
& If you try & intergrate the payment system into Ebay you will get a warning message along the lines of "Google Checkout is banned by Ebay as a payment option" But what you CAN do is invoice your winning bidders via Google Checkout... simply click the number of bids your item received that has sold, then click "Show Email Addresses" once you have your winning bidders email simply "send invoice" via Google Checkout..AND UNTIL JAN 2008 THERE ARE NO FEES WHAT SO EVER FOR RECEIVING MONEY!THEREAFTER IT WILL BE 1.5% + 15P PER TRANSACTION - Much better than Paypal's 4%" Read more:Great

PAYPAL CHANGE USER AGREEMENT & WILL NO LONGER BE REGULATED BY THE F.S.A 2007-06-04 05:42:00 Every Paypal 'customer' should have received a email stating that they have changed their user agreement, but more worrying is the fact that they will NO LONGER BE REGULATED BY THE FSA (Finacial Services Authority)This is very worrying to say the least the FSA regulates all the banks in the UK and most other e-money companies. The fact that they have moved to a Luxembourg based company is a little worrying as they are clearly trying to side-step certain regulations...Here is a copy of the email:"Dear XXXXX XXXXXXX, We would like to announce important developments affecting all PayPal accounts in the European Union (the "EU").No action is required on your part, and you will be able to continue using PayPal with no changes.Currently, PayPal (Europe) Ltd. is the service provider for PayPal in the EU. Ebid Emerging As Serious Competitor To Ebay + No FEES EVER!! 2008-02-24 06:57:00 Okay hands up who has had enough of ebay monopolising the online auction market? Wow! that's quite a few hands! The truth is ebay in the last few months has really started to show it's nasty side. Most sellers now are really struggling to make a profit with their fees having recently just gone up - again. Many small business relied on ebay to sell their wares to a mass market, but now ebay & paypal have stuck the knife in & the fees are just too high to sustain a business let alone a profit! Ebid however has noted all the changes at ebay & have changed their terms accordingly. With so many sellers now leaving ebay in search of newer pastures, Ebid has seen a huge surge in new registered customers & rightly so. For starters they have zero listing fees & zero final value
Need Some Cash? - Don't Like Paypal?? 2008-02-14 10:39:00 Velocityclicks.com are a new PTC program I have only recently signed up, but it does look very promising. Great design, easy navigation & plenty of ads to click daily even for free members - They state that a minimum of 11 ads per day will be shown guaranteed, which is about the same as paid.vg, but not quite as good as bux.to (which will take a lot of beating lets face it!) A promising new PPC site which pays out via Alertpay. Here is what they have to say about their site:At Velocityclicks.com, members get the most benefits from us. You won't have to be a computer genius to learn how to use Velocity Clicks at it's maximum potential. We Offer:- Up to 1 cent per click- 100% Downline Earnings (Upgradable)- 13+

Ebay Fee Hike Sparks Mass Exodus 2008-02-11 11:22:00 Editor's note: This story was originally published Jan. 30 by CNN.Money "If eBay's fee changes were meant to shore up market share at a time when sellers are increasingly migrating to competitors such as Amazon (AMZN, Fortune 500), initial response suggests it may do the opposite: eBay's veteran sellers are furious, with some forecasting ruin for their businesses. "Ouch!" said Laura Ricciotti, a seller from Windsor, Ontario, about Tuesday's announcement of a new fee structure for the online auction giant. Ricciotti said the new fees, set to go into effect Feb. 20, will pinch her already tiny margins selling children's books through her eBay (EBAY, Fortune 500) store, Read With Me Books, which began in 2000 with posts for a few auctions for baby clothes and other finds. Paypal Upsetting It's Customers Again 2008-02-11 11:13:00 This Time It's CNN.Money in USA who reported on this item: (Feb 9th 2008)"In the uproar that erupted over the planned fee hikes and other policy changes eBay announced last week, one drew particular ire and incredulity: eBay's plan to hold payments sent through its PayPal payment service for up to 21 days in certain circumstances. The freeze will apply to transactions eBay (EBAY, Fortune 500) considers high-risk, and is intended to protect buyers from the hazards of a bad transaction. By hanging on to funds, eBay can easily refund them if a seller doesn't ship a purchased item or sends damaged goods. What is sparking reactions ranging from annoyance to panic among some of eBay's sellers is the company's criteria for determining what transactions fall into the "high-risk" category.
