Zaghouan Trip Details

Bizerte Bridge up

Since last 12 years I have been unable evn for once to see the famous Bizerte 's bridge up to let pass by the ships who carries merchandise to the harbor loacted just beside it. Waiting for the bridge

One the bridge got busy going up letting the ships going back to see or entering in the harbor, the both sides of the bridge is crowed with cars and peapole waiting to pass on.

Zaghouan Staurday Night fever

Zaghouan is a small town some 50 km to Tunis, where nobody will never blame for spending the whole staurday night in the bar as every little café and shop closes up too early for a weekend fiesta.

The Bizerte's Harbor Jumping cat

Back to Bizerte with this cat who seems to be used to jump in fishing boats, and as strange as it could be seem it were more intersted to show itself aboard than to sniff out for some fish's bones.

Dazzling Cactus

Escoring the ship out the Canal

So this is how the ship re used to got escorted ou the canal, first of all, the ship is carefully pushed away the harbo's dock, then taken forward to fit a certain water depth, and finally carried out the canal under the dressed up bridge, the whole secene take some 30-40 mintues and is daily repeated for both enetring and leaving ships.

Old Medina Kids

The floating Restaurent

This is the kind of restaurent that you may find in many Tunisians leiusre harbors, althrough this one is located inside a fishing harbor. Last time I got to Bizerte there was an important match opposing local soccer team : CAB (thes shraks of the north) versus Stade Tunisian, the whole town was painted in the teams colours that sunday.
