Exclusive Secrets of an Unstoppable Viral Marketing Mogul
2007-02-15 14:06:13
Viral marketing, aka word of mouth advertisement, has been around since the invention of sales, when the first rock was sold by Fred, the caveman. If you get a good deal on a product you like you will tell people about it. Popularized in the New York Times bestseller, The Tipping Point (aff), viral marketing is exactly what it sounds like, contagious. This site deals with personal development and takes into account the experiences of successful people of the past and present; helping you to achieve the future that you desire. One such successful person presents himself as a self proclaimed “dot com mogul” and I do not oppose him in his claims as he is truly a great example of successful viral marketing. In this day and age, people are so saturated with advertisements that anything that resembles a marketing gimmick is usually taken as an obstruction of privacy and deemed as a pestilence. Today I tell you the secret of marketing success, and present you with a great example

How to Get a Personal Motivator - Free of Charge
2007-02-13 16:21:51
The other day I decided to do a little experiment in productivity. I knew that I would have a free day to myself, with no responsibility to anyone. It would not have been possible to keep up with every task, time limit and priority unless I had someone pushing me. I’m not the type of person that needs a personal motivator to get me up and running, I do well on my own, but when you have an absolutely flexible schedule it opens up many opportunities to waste time. If you think you need some extra management for your free time, I’ve got a great method to obtain a motivator, free of charge. The title was a bit of a gimmick to get your attention. There won’t actually be a person coming over your house to motivate you, but now that you’re here I hope you’ll forgive me. Let me tell you what I mean and how it works. Time logging I had a small note pad with me at all times. I recorded every significant move that I made; this included commuting, class, eating, study

How To Become An Outstanding Person In Twelve Weeks
2007-02-08 23:00:00
Wanting to become an outstanding person does not guarantee success. In fact, having the motivation and desire to become outstanding does not guarantee you anything. Sounds a little pessimistic? Read on, as I explain what will make you an outstanding person, in twelve weeks time. Let me begin by telling you what I consider to be outstanding. It is not a measure of success, wealth or popularity among your peers. Outstanding is a measure of a person’s character. Character can be both good and bad, but everyone knows just how to achieve the former so we will explore the latter in more detail. Virtue as defined by Wikipedia: Virtue is moral excellence of a person. A virtue is a character trait valued as being good. It is “habitual excellence”. It is something practiced at all times. The virtue of perseverance is needed for all and any virtue since it is a habit of character and must be used continuously in order for any person to maintain oneself in virtue. Now we are cl

Setting Higher Standards on Milk
2007-02-07 00:34:10
If you know me and have ever offered me milk then you’ve probably heard me say that “I don’t touch the stuff” or “I’m not that kind of person.” It is becoming more and more well known that milk is not a healthy thing to consume. Ravi at Setting Higher Standards puts this matter practically: “I suppose drinking the milk of an animal that suckles to grow from 100 to over 800 pounds in less than a year would surely cause some weight gain in a human being!” He even has a statement from the Harvard School of Public Health to back up his claims. A claim that milk consumption has been linked with several forms of cancer! Additionally, Ravi provides a link to more information for pro-milk and anti-milk campaigns. Which side of the fence you are on? There is an interesting little cartoon parody of The Matrix, about the dangers of the farming industry, at The Meatrix for your viewing pleasure. Share This

America's Top Three Presidents on Personal Development

In honor of President’s Day I have researched America ’s Top Three President’s . What characteristics propelled them to the top of the greatest nation in the world? What does their personal development genius consist of? Who are considered America’s Top Three Presidents ? George Washington Washington, a great war general, was also a man of conscious, a generous one at that. He lived by the philosophy of giving and said to “let your heart feel for the afflictions and distress of everyone, and let your hand give in proportion to your purse.” Washingston also believed that descipline is at the heart of success. Discipline is the soul of an army. It makes small numbers formidable; procures success to the weak, and esteem to all. While he does speak of the benefits of discipline in war, it is a metaphor for everyone, not just soldiers. When emotions and motivation wear thin, what we have left are acts of habit and discipline. Can you handle the truth?
2007-02-21 21:22:27
I am able to share these tips with you not because I live a life surrounded by liars (well maybe a couple of liars), but because my thirst for knowledge has led me to study this field of human psychology. Most of this content is really practical and easy to apply to any situation. Don’t worry, even if the liars out there see this information, it won’t exactly help them in eluding your new found skill. The fact that they’ll be thinking about how to react and trying to remember what not to do will serve as a warning to you. Just remember that some things are better left unanswered and that the truth may cause you severe discomfort. Before you continue, ask yourself: Is ignorance bliss or is truth the way to salvation? Can you handle the truth? Find out how to pick out a liar. 1. Body Cues. The key here is to look for deviations from the norm. Certain common cues to look out for are: Facing their body away from you or sideways Placing an object between the two

How to torture a man into loving you!
2007-02-22 20:00:00
Disclaimer: I am against torturing of animals, but men… like it. This article is to serve men as a warning, to be cautious of the unsecure females who lurk in broad daylight; and to assist the other women - those who ‘always’ attract the wrong men. The Basics What men want: A woman who will fill their bellies, raise their kiddies, and put out their fires. What men need: A woman that will stand independently, make them chase her, and always keep them guessing if they really have her. What women need and want: Same thing as men, do not let social dynamics tell you otherwise. So… you say torture? Wikipediea defines psychological torture as follows: Psychological torture uses psychological pain to inflict torment and is less well known because its effects are often invisible to others. It uses non-physical methods to induce pain in the subject’s mental, emotional, and psychological states. Since there is no international political consensus on what constitute

Why I blog

In response to the tag from Gleb at Personal Development Ideas, I am going to participate in this meme about why I blog. But first, wikipedia’s definition of a meme for my non-blogging readers: a unit of cultural information transferable from one mind to another Basically, someone picks a topic and it gets passed around for everyone to voice their opinions and give their input. So here’s mine. Why I Blog 1. It is really fun. I enjoy being creative and having the control of what I am going to say next and where my blog/site will go. 2. I feel like it is a great way to improve my writing skill. Can anyone think of a better way to improve their writing other than writing, and writing some more? 3. It’s a great way to get information out to people. I do all this studying for life, and I find myself in situations where my hours of studying can be injected into a person within minutes. Still, minutes multiplied by many people equals many hours. Blogging allows me to get t

Liquid motivation
2007-01-26 21:38:49
Easily taken for granted as the single most important nutrient needed for not only our survival but our optimal performance as machines of bone and flesh. It has given us energy, good health, rejuvination and refreshment since our conception. If you haven’t guessed by now, I speak of water. Ever have days where you feel sluggish and drowsy and if it wasn’t for your ‘responsibilities’, you wouldn’t even get out of bed or from in front of the TV? Maybe it’s not that severe, but you seem to just be lacking the ‘edge’ in whatever you’re undertaking. Consider that you may be less than optimally hydrated. I’m not talking about being so dehydrated that your skin begins to dry on contact but enough so that you feel lethargic and experience a dullness of your critical thinking abilities. When I drink half a liter of water right before bed I wake up feeling a lot more alert and ready to start my day. Combining abundant water consumption

Too Busy To Exercise
2007-01-24 16:18:27
Edwin C. Bliss, a time management expert and author of Getting Things Done says that “if you are too busy to exercise, you are too busy”. His book gives a couple of examples of high powered professionals and business owners that manage to exercise despite their major responsibilities. This is something I completely agree with due to the enormously positive aspects of exercise. If you have taken any serious steps towards setting a list of priorities for your life you would have noticed that health is near the top of your list. You realize that your health will allow you to not only live a longer life but to live a longer youth and prolong your vitality as long as you can. That should be enough reason to start now. Benefits of exercise When I exercise first thing in the morning I am able to start the day off right, sort of speak. My energy levels are increased and I am able to perform tasks with a greater intensity for the remainder of the day. By exercising I take a proactiv

Now: The Time To Start
2007-01-11 04:14:18
What are you currently not doing that you would like to start or be proficient at? Would you learn another language? Would you master the arts or learn to play an instrument? Would you improve your relationship with family and friends? Would you take on a new diet or exercise regime? What personal development interests do you have? Once you have identified what you would like to create in your life forge your commitment by writing it down. Visualize the person that you would be if you had already achieved your goal. Don't wait, start your journey immediately. Initialize the process by writing your goal in your journal, task-list, vision board or anywhere that you consider special and make a vow to see it through to the end. Write down exactly what it is that you want to accomplish. The level of detail that is required here should be vivid enough so that a random person reading your goal would be able to achieve the affect you desire. Also, make sure you set a due date for when you p
