Thoughts For You Mom.. 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Mom's are perhaps the best of friends, a support system and a practical adviser. I am for instance, more friendly to my Mom than my Dad. One reason of course is that my dad hardly stays at home ( he is a doctor and often had to stay away from home to attain seminars and conferences). My Mom is not a working lady, she spends her time cooking, stitching and gardening. She also loves to nurture and feed our pets.As I sat to write on my Mom I thought of sharing some childhood experiences with you guys.I could remember the day when I went running to the kitchen to show Mom my first painting and she instantly put that painting on the refrigerator just to appreciate my work and boost me up. I even saw her making my favorite cake just for me and I could understand how much she loved me. Every night, I would just wait for the good night kiss that my Mom would give me before going to bed. Family Get Together 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Last night, I was busy in my family get together. We had a ball yesterday with everyone present in the party and enjoying themselves. It just happened by chance. My uncle has come from London after quite a long time (he is my dad's cousin) and as always, dad picked him up from the airport and brought him home to stay with us. He is an absolute sweetheart, a very nice person who knows how to keep everybody charmed. He is just perfect in cracking jokes and making every single person roll down from their chairs and sofa. Hence, in honor of my this great uncle, my dad threw a party last night. Almost everybody known to us was invited. The party was held in the lawn which was decorated with flowers, balloons and colorful ribbons. Me and my Mom did all the decorations. Thanks to my dad he also helped us a lot. As you guys already know, my Mom is the Best Cook in the World (as per my friends and relatives), hence it is no wonder that she did all the cooking. John is going back to London tomorrow. He thought of staying with us for some more time but unfortunately, some urgent work has come and he have to leave. Dad is really sorry for him and so do we. We will miss him a lot since he is such a nice person to spend time with. For the few days that he stayed with us, he kept us fully entertained with his funny stories and interesting experiences in London. He has recently met a lady there (obviously this is a secret news that my dad got secretly from his friend Mr. Thomson). Mrs. Roberts was pregnant for quite a long time and finally she has got a baby girl. Mom told the baby is very sweet just like an angel. She seemed so thrilled since the baby has brought them bundles of joy and happiness. What a lovely moment!! I guess, its one of the most amazing experiences that a couple has when they become proud parents of a baby. Such an innocent thing who hardly knows anything about this world, and its complexities. Home! I am such a kind of girl who loves to live with my family. (It may sound strange to many I guess) but it is a fact that the moment I am done with my work, I can't wait to get back home! For the past few months, I had to stay in Chicago at my aunt's place for some project work. My aunt is a nice lady and she along with her kids kept me entertained all the time. But, still the thought of leaving my home, my parents kept on haunting me like anything. I don't know why but I am too attached with my family... just like a drug addiction I guess. LOL!! Welcoming A New Member To The Family 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Our next door neighbor Mr. and Mrs. Hoffman has adopted a baby boy. They were married for quite sometime but unfortunately they don't have any child. However, they are brave persons and without repenting, they have adopted a sweet little baby boy from a well known Orphanage.I must say they have done a great job. Its so nice to get such people who does think in this way. Their in laws are also very good since they have got their full support from the moment they have decided to take a baby. Now Mrs. Hoffman is very busy with the kid and we can hear him cry and shout. She along with her husband has brought a cute cot for the little one and many beautiful toys to play with. My Mom has given the baby a teddy and he seem to be very happy getting it. Always, giggling, smiling at everybody and playing with the various stuffs that he has got. Love You Dad 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Just as I am close to my Mom, I am close to my Dad too. My Dad is an absolute sweet heart. But he often had to stay away from home since he is a doctor and had to attend the seminars and conferences wherever they are held. However, he never misses to take out some time from his busy schedule and buy some gifts for me and Mom. Last month he had to go to China. He bought a gorgeous goldleaf painting for me since I love to draw and paint and for Mom, Dad brought a Chinese porcelain dinner set. He told that he wanted to buy some embroidered garments too but was left with almost no money. So unfortunate! Anyways, the little things that he has given us is more than a lot.
