TBWA Mexico 2008-03-31 09:32:00 "Stop Global Warming Before It's Too Late"Nice ad from TBWA Mexico
for pro natura. Really nice ad and definitely effective, I think the bear version is much more effective than the jaguar. Just because when I think of global warming I think of the polar ice caps melting.

iPod Nano Belt 2008-04-04 14:17:00 This belt has two things going for it that qualifies it for awesome status: it holds an ipod and it's white. Made of polyurethane leather, the buckle has a headphone port so you can listen to your pod while strutting through the halls of your high school, or workplace. And nothing gives you more swagger than slouching outside the break room clutching your buckle, when really all you're doing is turning up the volume on Norah Jones. Get it whenever it comes back in stock over at amazon for $33.via productdose

CONAC 2008-04-03 11:27:00 "Smoking isn't just suicide. It's murder."Very nice, effective, and powerful ads from advertising agency Draftfcb + IDB and creative director Rodrigo Gómez. These are for the Chilean Corporation Against Cancer, what do you think did they go to far in these ads. Are the images just a little bit to brutal, was there a better way to get this message across, leave your thoughts in the comments.
Comics Museum 2008-04-03 11:19:00 "Comics
are art. Just funnier."Fun little ads from the advertising agency JWT out of Milan, Italy and creative director Pietro Maestri. I like the ads, they are nice, and I do agree that some comics do turn out to be art, but is funnier a word?

Faber Castell 2008-04-02 19:54:00 Very clever little ads from the advertising agency Grey Chile and creative director Patricio Navarrete. I just really like the idea of a reverse highlighter that removes everything from the page but what you want to see.
Mario Mandala 2008-04-08 14:11:00 Psychiatrist Carl Jung saw the mandala as “a representation of the unconscious self,” and believed his paintings of mandalas enabled him to identify emotional states and disorders and work towards wholeness in personality. For Jung, this identification of the id, and its transience, was a fundamental tool in his understanding of personality. Dynamically, this volume of Mario
-mandalas goes beyond a passive recognition of the intricate mandala designs, leading readers to develop their own interpretation of their personality and contribute towards the entity of the mandala form. Once a mandala has been coloured in it can be detached from the book, as each becomes a unique work of art that has been created in their own design, the final mandala is thus a creation of personal interactio

Rube Goldberg 2008-04-08 07:50:00 I want to send out congratulations to my alma mater Purdue University on winning the 21st annual national Rube Goldberg
Machine Contest. This is Purdue's third win in the last 4 years. This years task was to assemble a hamburger consisting of no less than one precooked meat patty, two vegetables and two condiments, sandwiched between two bun halves. The 17-member Purdue team used 156 steps in its machine, which had a global travel theme. The machine's journey started at Purdue and continued around the world to England, France, Germany, China, Mexico and ended back at a tailgating party at Purdue, where the hamburger was made.via purduenews

The graceful journey of a bird’s flight is one of the most amazing natural phenomena. The metacosm project explores the beauty of that graceful journey using color and shape to produce a detailed record of flight. The metacosm project is a system that simulates the flight of a bird. Nearly every aspect of the simulation is randomly chosen from a limited pool o

Bad Bad Leroy 2008-04-12 14:33:00 Yeah we got to see a fire dancer, his name was bad bad leroy. I'm not sure if his last name was brown, but he was the baddest man in the whole damn down. This guy was a bit crazy he was rubbing the fire on his arms and legs, and at the end he was spinning his little fire sticks and one got away from him and almost hit some lady square in the head. It was pretty sweet though.

Originals Left to Right Project 2008-04-21 09:46:00 Adidas Originals has come up with some very inventive ideas of late, first the stop motion Adi Dassler piece. Now this spectacular tribute to the adidas Superstar, well done indeed. To celebrate and pay tribute to the iconic Superstar, adidas Originals produced a pair of giant, SUV-size exact replicas, down to the fire-hose shoe laces. Housed in separate studios, we invited friends and artists at Surface2Air (NYC) and Upper Playground (San Francisco) to celebrate their own originality by customizing these huge sneakers – the right shoe for the East Coast and the left shoe for the West Coast. For three days, the artists’ collectives (Surface2Air featuring Gordon Hull, Daniel Jackson and Alexia Stamatiou and Upper Playground featuring Sam Flores) went to work. Vincent has built one-of-a-kind pieces for years, but released this line to accommodate the demand for reproducible versions of his work. A key part of Vincent's creation process is the integration of function into the form. He strives to create furniture that is functional to the degree that it may be successfully integrated into daily life, yet--equally important--provides a spark to brighten the routine of daily life. He finds joy in discovering new ways to mix art and life, and to make it accessible. Vincent's work has been descr
