Ebay - buy it, don't use it, regret it. 2007-02-24 15:10:30 ebay crazy the last few days, have bought at least 1 item a day on ebay, and erm looks like today is going to be the biggest spend.
Well its not all for me, so i don’t feel to guilty about it, but still ebay can be addictive.
One thing about ebay though it can be slightly cheaper then buying directly from shops or online shops but they usually bump up the postage and packing which i guess you know before you even buy so its the buyers choice really.
One thing though, what a rip off though, ebay sellers have to pay ebay charges once their item is sold and again pay another set of charges if the buyer pays through the RECOMMENDED and much advertised and affiliated paypal ( which is also owned buy ebay).
Bad for the seller but lots of free money rolling into ebay headquarters, surprised no one has ever taken ebay to court over this, where is people power?

Dinner with Dr Yasin Yousafzai and Abasin Yousafzai 2007-03-03 17:55:01 One of our readers (San Shinwary) was fortunate enough to spend an evening with with notable pukhtuns such as Dr Yasin Yousafzai, Abasin Yousafzai amongst others, and has kindly submitted a brief account of the dinner evening.
———————————————————————————————————-
It was a fine spring-welcoming morning of February 2007 when I received a call from Dr Yasin Yousafzai who is currently working as Professor of Physics in University of Peshawar (UoP) on deputation as Foreign Professor but is a Research scholar in UK and a nationalist Pashto poet. The call was about an invitation to a get-together (Majlis) hosted by the young renowned Pashto poet Abasin Yousafzai at his residence in UoP campus.
I accepted the invitation with compliments and reached there at 6 pm in the evening along Read more:Dinner
The ښ in پښتو! 2007-03-02 21:21:15 Ermm why this tagline? Why not eh?
Well actually as pukhtuns, we have the two dialects the harder one where people say KH , Pakhtun or softer, SH, Pashtun.
So to unite the language of pukhtuns, in terms of literacy, they, a group of ermm knowledgable pukhtuns, (from what i’ve heard) concocted the much needed letter KHEEN, so that when writing the most simplest of words, in pashto there wouldn’t be any discrepancies, and conflicting two ways to right one word.
Exclusive to the Pashto language, a symbol known to pukhtuns, representing the pukhtuns.
So therefore i came up with this rather vague odd but cool little tagline.
The ښ in پښتو!
I know wat it means to me, what does it mean to u? If anything?
The kheen, the definative letter in the word پښتو, and what, kheen is to pukhto, i am to pukhtuns.
I am a pukthana, and i represent my people and of them, wether they are from Afghanistan or Pukhtunkhwa, i am as one of them, the very ښ in پښتو!
Packing for Pukhtunkhwa 2007-03-03 21:55:10 I’ve started to pack up for my trip to pukhtunkhwa, after not having anyone to go with managed to get my sister to come along for a few weeks and then she’ll be back inshallah and i’l stay on in Pukhtunkhwa
….possibly for a good few months inshallah, depending on my tolerance of the weather and how home sick i feel.
Haven’t even booked my ticket yet and i’ve already had a dream that i was in pukhtunkhwa alone and extremely upset and insisted i take a plane back to my home (UK) immediately.
Mum said that dreams usually mean the opposite, so i shall be happy in Pukhtunkhwa?
Back to the packing, have packed away some cute little dresses for my cuzuns can’t wait to see them in it, and take pics of them inshallah and other such goodies.
Apparently tho my youngest cousin, the one im most looking forward to seeing has eczema, so her and face painting might not go so well, ah oh well got her some painting stuff instead!
Though wud have been so co
More shopping 2007-03-06 15:10:33 Bought some more stuff today, for pukhtukhwa trip and i still have a few essentials still left!
If i wasn’t a control freak i’d probably have done it all at the last minute, but i can’t seem to operate that way!
Must go pack up!
Descriptive Writing: Deserted Beach 2007-03-07 01:22:06 I was reading my sisters english homework, in which she had to write descriptive piece, i loved it and so have pasted it up here……
The sea was calm.
There was no ship in sight, and the seagulls were motionless upon its even greyness.
The sky was dark with lowering clouds, but there was no wind.
The line of the horizon was clear and fragile.
The gritted beach, no less deserted, was thick with tangled seaweed, and the infinite shells crushed under the feet that trod them.
The break-waters, which sought to prevent the continous violation of the waves were rotten with age & green with the sea-slime.
It was a deserted scene but there was restfulness in its melancholy ;
and the great silence, the sophisticated dullness of colour, might have given peace to a heart that was troubled.

Kismaat 2007-03-13 00:40:42 Kismaat is when life plays a trick on you, your heading in one direction and suddenly it all goes wrong and you end up going in a completely different direction, in a way totally unrelated to the first in any way at all.
So your going happily along this secondary path and the end is in sight, and then kismaat comes in twists things up and you end up again at the former and thats where you stay forever.
Thats my odd vague way of demonstrating what kismaat is?
Meaningful… 2007-03-18 03:22:10 Maana bikhra hoon mein abhi
Mein nay khawab piroay thay
Teri saanson mein gum hoon abhi
Meri chaahat adhoori hai
Mushkilain jab bhi aa ja-ain gi
Dard hudd say guzar ja-ay ga
Koi ghum na phir ho ga mujhe
Gar khawabon mein tum aao gay
Ab tho aadat si hai mujh ko aisay jeenay mein
Duur jithna bhi tum mujh se
Paas teray mein
Ab to aadat si hai mujh ko aisay jeenay mein

Strained Muscle 2007-06-21 16:17:06 So being back at home feels wierd, firstly i arrived in a wheel chair after having strained my hamstring muscle 3 - yep 3 days before i was due to fly out of pukhtunkhwa.
Admittedly, i wasn’t in that much pain to be honest, but since i have had a history of problems regarding that leg, i was damn worried as to wether it was my muscle that had being strained or wether it was a joint problem, thankfully it was “just” a muscle strain.
Worst news i heard, having never suffered before from such an injury was that it was going to take a few weeks to heal up, damn and there i was just a few days ago planning on what i will do on my return to the UK.
I did say inshallah as far as i remember but i guess sometimes things happen for a reason……
Back in the UK!!! 2007-06-19 17:04:40 Back at home, alive and relatively well after a 3 month holiday to pukhtunkhwa!
I had to travel back to the uk by wheel chair!
Such have i suffered abroad but i shall blog about that when i can manage to wobble across my bedroom, need some rest!
