2008-02-24 22:07:00
Forest management and policy in Indonesia suffer at all level from in adequate data of poor or inconsistent quality. The last national assessment of land cover and land use (RePPProT) was made in the early 1980s, and rapid deforestation and changing land use since then have rendered it obsolete. A consensus based framework to reliability to reliably monitor changes in forest cover and land use also does not exist. This means that there is no reliable system in place to collect and analyze forest cover data. Decentralization has also meant that forest sector information on the legal boundaries and licenses of logging concessions, industrial timber plantations are no longer kept in a central database. Instead, this information is scattered throughout the Indonesian archipelago in is not s

History of Bali
2008-03-14 04:23:45
Bali, one of more than 13.000 islands in Indonesia, is famous of its scenic beauty, dynamic culture, and friendly people. Located just south of the equator, tropical Bali has a hot, wet season (November – March) and a cool, dry one (May – September).
