Day & Night Watch only tells you if the sun is up 2008-04-07 18:13:34
How many times have you sat and pondered whether or not it was daylight outside? Unless you spend the better part of your days living underground, chances are that you don’t think about this very often. Cute barcodes to the fore 2008-04-07 17:45:43
Now there isn’t anything gadgety about this piece of news, but the very fact that it is cool allows it to be posted (we’re trying to cater to the ‘coolest’ part of this tech blog ;)). Design company D-Barcode shows the world that creativity isn’t quite dead, coming up with cute drawings to complement the boring ol’ barcode. Make no mistake about it, these barcodes actually work and are currently being used in grocery stores throughout Japan. It goes to show that the Japanese are still up there with their attention to detail even in everyday items like the humble barcode. Kawaii!

Donnie says, "OK, I'm pretty good at that sensitive stuff, I'll do it."
Two hours later, he comes back carrying a case of Beer. Bubba says, "Where did you get that beer, Donnie?"
"Cooter's wife gave it to me," Bubba replies.
"That's unbelievable, you told the lady her husband was dead and she gave you beer?"
"Well, not exactly", Donnie says. "When she answered the door, I said to her, you must be Cooter's widow'." She said, "You must be mistaken, I'm not a widow." Then I said "I'll bet you a case of beer you are."

Second generation Eee PC to hit Taiwan 2008-04-10 00:11:14
The first generation of Asus’ Eee PCs did some gangbusters sales to date, and Asus is hoping to follow that success with the second generation of the Eee PC. While it will not utilize the latest Intel Atom processor in a bid to get it out onto the market before other rivals (HP and Acer in particular), it still ain’t no slouch as Intel’s dual core ULV processors aren’t exactly old geezers where processors are concerned. For those who prefer to rock on with an Atom-powered processor, you will have to wait until June when Acer and HP will roll out their notebooks. things come to those who wait, after all, but are you willing to?

Joke Daves Adventures 2008-04-13 18:03:02 Dave works hard at the office, puts in a lot of overtime, and then spends most evenings bowling, playing basketball or working out at the gym. His wife, Mary, thinks he is pushing himself too hard, so, for his birthday, she takes him to a local strip club.
The doorman at the club greets them and says, "Hey, Dave, how ya doing?"
Mary is puzzled and asks if he's been to this club before. "Oh, no," says Dave. "He works out at the gym with me."
When they are seated, a waitress asks Dave if he'd like his usual Budweiser.
Mary is now becoming uncomfortable and says, "You must come here a lot for that woman to know you drink Budweiser."
"No, honey, she's in the Ladies Bowling League. We share lanes with them."
A stripper comes over to their table and throws her arms around Dave:Read more... Read more:Adventures

Blockbuster go up against Apple TV 2008-04-14 19:46:36 Apple
TV, look out! You will receive a rival from Blockbuster
pretty soon as word on the street has it that Blockbuster is working secretly on a device that enables video content to be streamed directly to a TV. Apparently, this mystery device will be launched later this month although very little is known about its hardware specifications, let alone a pricing structure. What we do know, however, is that the available content will be provided by Movielink, a former joint-effort of MGM, Paramount, Sony, Universal and Warner, which was acquired last year by Blockbuster. Movielink alone has a library of 6,600 movies, so the chances of not having something nice to watch in your living room is virtually nil.Read more... Read more:against
