Generate Revenue With Text Link Ads 2007-03-01 19:12:00 If you are looking for additional ways to make money from your blog, you should try Text Link Ads
.Text Link Ads network is compatible with contextual advertising such as Google Adsense or YPN (Yahoo! Publisher’s Network), so TLA will not violate those network’s terms of service. At Text Link Ads, there are two ways to make money. One is by Affiliate banners and/or buttons and the other one is by Text links/ads.The Affiliate banners and buttons promote Text Link Ads. You’ll be paid $25 for each successful referral. By successful, I mean either that a visitor results in a sale or gets accepted into their publisher program. This method is recommended if you have a site that has anything to do with earning money from. The second method (Text links/ads) offers flat-rate monthly non-context sensitive text-only link ads to advertisers. Advertisers on a monthly basis purchase ads. The amount you will get is something around $15-$50 per link per month. Some sites are selling their links for Read more:Revenue
6 Reasons Why Blogs Should Have Polls 2007-02-28 19:28:00 Last few weeks, while surfing the web, I noticed a significant increase of polls on a wide variety of sites. This got me thinking why polls are becoming so popular and how do they help bloggers? Here are 6 reasons why: 1. Estheticism – however your blog looks, a single poll will make it look even better and it will ad more personality to it.2. Get visitors to return – most people love taking polls, they like to have their voice heard. This fact will make a lot of them return and check the results and participate in the next one.3. Gathering information – some polls will give you statistics and invaluable information you couldn’t find elsewhere. You could later write posts with your opinions and suggestions.4. No damage – polls can’t backfire on you. This means that polls won’t make a negative impact on your blog and they are free and also easy to implement, like the one I use, Vizu.5. Profit – there are some services that will pay you when someone votes, one of them is Read more:Reasons

Increase AdSense Revenue With Competitive Ad Filter 2007-03-02 20:24:00 Using the Competitive
Ad Filter
enables you to block competitor’s ads from appearing on your pages. Google allows you to enter up to 200 URLs. Most people who use Competitive Ad Filter are AdWords advertisers, but even the people who don’t advertise through AdWords should be using it. What are the reasons?1. MFA – this is an abbreviation of Made For AdSense sites. These sites have almost no content and the only reason they exist is to make money from Google AdSense. MFA’s page consists of only a headline and ads.How does a MFA site affect your AdSense income?Advertising from Google AdSense and other PPC services generates traffic to MFA sites. These sites offer a really low CPC rate so they can get the traffic as cheap as possible. Here’s how it works:An MFA site bids the minimum amount on a keyword on your site. The ad from the MFA site shows up on your site. Reader clicks on the ad to visit MFA site and you make 1 to 5 cents. MFA site consists only of ads. Reader leaves by Read more:Revenue

Lessons From Bloggers Face-Off 2007-03-07 16:50:00 Daniel of Daily Blog Tips recently started an interesting contest that has spread through blogosphere like bird flu, so I won’t be surprised if you have already heard about it. It’s called Bloggers Face-Off.People always want to know more about the guys who run their favorite blogs, and Bloggers Face-Off gives them that opportunity. The Face-Off is fun to read and what’s more important, educative.2 bloggers are faced together and given the same set of questions. The answers are really revealing and they show you different approaches to blogging and making money from a blog.Another thing, while you find more and more great blogs out there, it’s really hard for you to estimate which one could benefit you more. Bloggers Face-Off pairs up two similar bloggers (with very different approaches to blogging) and it makes it easier for you to decide which one could better suite your needs. You could also discover bloggers you’ve never heard of before and catch up with their thoughts.Th Read more:Lessons
The Net Business Blog 2007-03-08 17:43:00 After John Chow’s recent review boom from his Review My Blog program that brought him over 300 reviews so far, other bloggers are starting to follow in his footsteps. The new star of the blogosphere, Matt Coddington of the Net Business
Blog started his own review program, with a couple of differences from John Chow’s original:John links back to his reviewer’s blog. Matt does this too, but he also gives a review back to one lucky blogger every week.John provides a link to the review (single post), while Matt provides a link to the homepage. This is important because the visitors will be able to see more of the reviewer’s blog, not just one post.Matt Coddington & the Net Business BlogEven though Net Business Blog is only 2 months old, it’s already receiving 4000 hits a day and has almost a 1000 RSS subscribers. Matt Coddington is a 21-year-old web designer from Clinton, South Carolina. He’s attending the University of South Carolina as a History major.Matt’s online beginning
Digital Point Forum & AdSense Cocktail 2007-03-08 00:34:00 Digital Point is a huge forum that counts over 60,000 members and it is said to be one of the best forums of its kind on the net (its Alexa rank of 110 confirms it). It covers a vast variety of topics like search engines, marketing, business, design & development and other.Besides it being a fantastic forum, Digital Point also has another great feature. You can make some money from it with their ad revenue sharing program, which started in the year 2004 as an experiment, but it still runs today and it probably will for a long time to come. How does it work? There is an AdSense ad in the first post of any topic you start. When somebody clicks on it, you get paid. How do you qualify for the program? The first thing you need is Google AdSense account, you’ll get nowhere without it. If you have an AdSense account, you just have to type in your AdSense client ID in the box located in your Tools section under Edit Options. You must have at least 50 total posts within the forum to participate. Make Extra Cash With Ads OnTime 2007-03-09 19:23:00 Here's a fun way to make money online or promote your site. ‘’AdsOnTime.com is an online advertising service that divides a day into seconds and allows advertisers to show their ads on each second they buy. Ads OnTime combines ads from all over the world and allows anyone to put their advertisements on AdsOnTime.com with little cost and high exposure’’.How can you make money from Ads OnTime?Watch the ads – just watch the ads and every now and then a link will appear under the ad window. It will say ‘click now to win …$’. You get 1-5 cents when you complete the task (I managed to make $0.6 in half an hour). When you click the link, a new window will open and you have to wait 10 seconds. After that you have to enter a code (look right) into the box and submit. There is a catch; you have to be first to type in the code or you won’t get the money. It’s easy when you’re the only one online, but it’s a bit tricky if there are, let’s say, 100 people fighting for the Read more:Extra
Online Terrorism Or Just A Joke 2007-03-09 00:12:00 Jeremy Schoemaker of Shoemoney recently received a threatening email:''This is a warning and if you don’t pay attention to it you will suffer from bad turns. All your income is through Google Adsense and if you do not cooperate with us we will stop this income source. We would like you to pay us the total amount of USD 200 each month. This small amount could be considered as nothing compared to your earnings from Adsense. If you do not pay this amount we will have to close your account by the help of special robots and …!''Click here to read the whole emailWhile this threat seems serious, there’s no chance that Jeremy Schoemaker or any other influential blogger could be endangered by it. They’re too respectable to be banned just like that. This got me thinking what are the real motives behind this email. Here are 3 possible motives:1) Extortion – maybe this truly is the motive, and the person who sent the email is really a complete idiot! ‘Special robots’ could scare a Read more:Terrorism
Blogging Rate Poll Results 2007-03-10 21:21:00 Results are in for the first poll on Blog About Money Online. 93 visitors voted, so let’s see what they saidYour daily blogging rate is:0-5 hours – 62.5%5-10 hours – 12.5%10-15 hours – 10.0%15 or more – 15.0%My thoughts:0-5 hours – If you own an established, well-visited blog, it’s normal that you spend a few hours every day on maintaining and updating your blog. But if you’re a beginner and your blog has almost no traffic, you should find more time to promote it (do some social networking, leave comments on other blogs…). For example, professional blogger John Chow spends about 2 hours per day on blogging. I’m sure he spent a lot more when he started blogging.5-10 and 10-15 hours – If you’re in one of these 2 groups, you know what your goals are and you spend a lot of time and effort to achieve them. If you don’t have any encouraging results yet, don’t loose faith. Your work will pay off eventually!15 or more – If you’re in this group, get some sleep! Y Read more:Blogging
2 Simple Ways To Improve Your RSS Readership 2007-03-12 04:57:00 Do you use FeedBurner? If you do, this post will definetely help you get more subscribers!1. SlashMySearch News III 2007-03-12 20:13:00 It’s been over 2 weeks since I last wrote about SlashMySearch. I guess that’s because I was waiting for good news, but unfortunately, I have none to report. SlashMySearch is in a deep coma, and I don’t know when it’s going to ‘wake up’ again. Because SMS is in Beta testing, its server just couldn’t keep up with fast increasing member numbers (over 70,000 last time I heard). SMS actually replaced the server a week back and it was functioning properly, but not for long. The new server overloaded again and it’s been down ever since. Before the last server crash, SMS joined up with Snap.com, a nice looking search engine. While SMS’s search engine is slow to return results, Snap is very fast and makes searching a much better experience than it was with SMS.The constant server blackouts also affected the commission rates, so during the last 2 weeks I made less than 30 cents even though I have almost 50 referrals on 2 levels. Before that I was making $1 per day on average.SMS Read more:SlashMySearch News
Google Got Served 2007-03-13 23:53:00 Media conglomerate Viacom inc. slapped a $1 billion lawsuit on Google
(YouTube) for unauthorized use of their copyrighted entertainment. Here’s a part of Viacom’s statement:‘’YouTube is a significant, for-profit organization that has built a lucrative business out of exploiting the devotion of fans to others’ creative works in order to enrich itself and its corporate parent Google. Their business model, which is based on building traffic and selling advertising off of unlicensed content, is clearly illegal and is in obvious conflict with copyright laws. In fact, YouTube’s strategy has been to avoid taking proactive steps to curtail the infringement on its site, thus generating significant traffic and revenues for itself while shifting the entire burden – and high cost – of monitoring YouTube onto the victims of its infringement.’’If you want to know all about this incident, click here for a long list of news. Useful Tips Around The Blogosphere, 13 March 2007 2007-03-13 21:22:00 There have been a lot of great post around the blogosphere lately and unfortunately I didn’t write them all :). Kumiko teaches you how to implement AdSense ads, Digg buttons and other stuff in your post template.Speaking of Digg, here’s an interesting post David wrote. Offsite Optimization For Better Search Listing 2007-03-14 23:11:00 There are a lot of ways to optimize your site for top search engine listing, but you can also optimize it without doing any work on your pages.Links from other sites are important to increase traffic, but they also make a great impact on your page rank. Here are the tips for successful offsite optimization. Offsite
optimization techniques:The number of sites that link to you – as I’m sure you already know, search engines give more value to sites that have a lot of other sites linking to them. Sure you can do this by exchanging links, but it takes a lot of time and effort, not to mention that two way links are less appreciated than one way links. So you should strive to create unique and quality content. People will jump on the opportunity to link to you if they think your content could interest their readers. The page rank of the sites that link to you – search engines give more value to links coming from sites with high Google page rank. In my opinion, it’s better to have 3 si Read more:Optimization

My First Copycat Incident 2007-03-15 16:52:00 You could imagine my surprise this morning when BRYAN BAKER told me that someone had copied my work. Kumiko Can Make You Money 2007-03-17 20:53:00 I reviewed Kumiko
’s cash quest a month ago, so why on earth am I reviewing it again?! Kumiko recently started an interesting competition that I just couldn’t ignore, that’s why! Basically, all you have to do is review Kumiko’s cash quest and predict its future Google PageRank. If your prediction is correct and Kumiko judges your review to be the best out of the bunch, you’re the lucky winner. You’ll be given a $30 prize and what’s more important, you’ll get to write a guest post at Kumiko’s cash quest and you can pack it with juicy links to your blog.So what’s my prediction? Yesterday Michael Kwan wrote a review predicting PR 5, using iWebTool PageRank Predictor. Today I used it and got a PR 6 prediction. That’s weird, a whole point change in less than 24 hours.I’m a bit suspicious of this tool, so I’ll just follow my intuition and go with PR 4, which sounds fairly reasonable in my opinion.Kumiko’s cash questWhen I first saw Kumiko’s blog covered in all sh Read more:Money

Surfjunky Is A Donkey 2007-03-19 12:35:00 Surfjunky is a kind of an Autosurf program. It pays you anywhere from $0.45 to $0.75 per hour of surfing. It also has a 3 level referral program, so you can build up a huge network and make some serious cash. Sounds good, ha? But there is a catch – Surfjunky is a HUGE SCAM!I focus a lot on bringing you info about programs that can really make you money, but I also dedicate a whole category to Avoiding Scams, and Surfjunky falls under that category.Surfjunky has a minimum payout of $25 and it’s reported that no member saw any cash, ever! How? Just before payout, Surfjunky deletes your account with an accusation that you’ve used illegal programs to inflate your payout rate, and after that there’s nothing you can do about it. Instant SEO With Anchor Text 2007-03-20 20:29:00 Less than a week ago I wrote about offsite optimization and the importance of anchor text. Evil dot com mogul John Chow demonstrated just how powerful anchor text really is!John managed to get from nowhere to third place in Google search listing for the phrase ’ make money online ’ in just 4 days. How did he make it? First he included the phrase in the title of his blog and posts. Secondly, he got a lot of links with ‘ make money online ’ as anchor text, and that’s what catapulted him to the first page of Google results! How did he manage get that many ‘ make money online ’ anchored links in just 4 days? He got them through his Review My Blog program, where you get a link back for a review. One of the rules is to link to John’s blog with ‘ make money online ’ as the anchor text. Because John Chow dot Com is a blog with high traffic level, a lot of people linked to him in no time, thus improving his Google listing for the phrase ‘ make money online ’.John’s reso Read more:SEO

Feedburner Drops My Emails 2007-03-23 20:35:00 I was a little disappointed this morning when I checked my Feedburner stats and realized that my subscribers dropped from 65 to 49. I thought that a lot of my readers suddenly lost their will to make money online.I reconciled with that fact and moved on, until I saw that other bloggers were experiencing the same problem. I browsed through my Feedburner stats again and I saw that problem wasn’t in me but in Feedburner itself. It seems that all of my email subscribers (23% total) vanished from my stats. See for yourself:Even though I don’t see my email stats, I’m not sure if Feedburner completely stopped sending them, so it’s possible that this is just a temporary glitch and will be fixed soon. I hope this is the case because if not, I’ll be forced to take down the email subscription box.If you’re one of my email subscribers and you’ve been (or not) notified of this post, and/or if you’ve experienced the same problem with Feedburner, your feedback will be very appreciated. New Features On Blog About Money Online 2007-03-22 22:56:00 I was working all through the day adding some new features to my blog and I’m quite happy with the results. For you who have already been here, you’ll see that I’ve added a menu bar to the top of the blog, thus making it more functional. 11 Tips To Write Killer Headlines 2007-03-26 22:13:00 Have you ever written a fantastic article and you haven’t got any link love from it? Maybe that’s because no one got interested in reading it in the first place. Why? Because of your headline! Many people don’t bother to read your whole article if they’re not amused with what they see in the first few paragraphs, but even more people won’t go beyond the headline. Take me for example, I follow many RSS feeds and I don’t have time to read them all (especially those that don’t offer full feeds), but instead, I just focus on those whose headlines grab my attention and make it impossible for me not to read the whole article. You see, by writing magnetic headlines you’ll force people to read your whole article, so you’ll find yourself with more visitors, reader comments and what’s more important – more links to your posts!About writing effective headlines?1) ‘How to’ headlines - How to headlines are the most used ones in the blogosphere, so you have to write a damn g Read more:Write

Why Did You Become A Blogger? - Poll Results 2007-03-28 21:33:00 First I want to thank everyone who took part in this poll. Its purpose was to find out what motivated people to start their own blogs. Exactly 100 people (including myself) voted, so let’s see the final results:Money makers took the prize in front of ‘fun makers’ and that’s no surprise in my opinion. After all, this is a blog about making money online so any different result would be a miracle. There were just 16 people who started blogging just to help others. Well, in these times it’s hard to find Good Samaritans out there, I guess that’s because our own interests come in front of others. I’m not proud to say this, but my vote wasn’t among these 16 nobles. Even though I started blogging in interest of making money, today I’m extremely happy when someone sends me an email saying how my advice helped him/her. So if this poll was asking ‘Why are you blogging right NOW?’, I’d be inclined to say ‘To help other people’.1/3 of voters started blogging for the shear Read more:Become
