Evolution of a Mom 2008-03-05 12:30:57 I found this article from Mommy Life while I was bloghopping. I couldn't help but repost it. It's just funny yet so true.________________ The following appeared in the February 1998 issue of Parenting. Yes, parenthood changes everything. But parenthood also changes with each baby. Here, some of the ways having a second and third child differs from having your first:The Evolution

Of Homecoming and Credit Cards 2008-03-05 11:52:20 We're going home this year and today I might be booking our plane ticket online. So, it's time to use the credit card again. You see, the only time we the use credit card is for booking our plane tickets online and for emergency purposes. I even have this credit card which I've never used at all. So, what's the use of our credit card then, you might ask. Well, it's just for emergency purposes. You see, I've got this fear of overspending through the use of credit cards. I'm afraid that I might buy things more than my capacity to pay and end up having a bad credit. If this happens, then it will be very difficult for us. I've heard a lot of stories of people being financially burdened because of the overuse of credit cards. But then, there is hope. I was surprised to see a site which offers Read more:Homecoming

Things about my Li'l Princess, Tricia.1) When Tricia was only 3 weeks old, she was already able to travel by ship ( Cagayan to Cebu), by airplane ( Cebu-KK-Kuala Lumpur) and by Train ( Malaysia- Thailand). 2) Tricia was born in the Philippines.3) She surprised all of us by using the word 'dangerous' (in a sentence) when she was only 1 year and 7 months old.4) Now at almost 4 years old, she still drinks milk using the milk bottle and uses the diapers when sleeping. 5) She's the one 'assigned' to pray before we leave the house. Just today, she prayed this, "...that no parts of the en
Of Wedding Gowns and Fashion schools 2008-03-03 12:34:34 Just this afternoon, I was admiring the wedding gown being displayed at the shop beside my Hubby's office. The owner of the shop is very talented. He does photography, make-up and designs wedding gowns. I just love the gowns he designs. He must be quite a popular designer/artist because within a short period of time he was able put up three shops in different locations in this city. I'm sure he has great talent, business skills and went to a good fashion school here for him to achieve this level of success in his career. If you're into fashion design, even if you have great talent and skills indeed it is very important for you to go to one of the best schools to achieve the highest level of success in your field. I've heard that the fashion school in New York are the best. As you know, Ne Read more:Fashion

Weekend Snapshot 8 2008-03-02 10:35:26 After we had a busy Sunday we just decided to have Roti and Teh Tarik for dinner for a change. Are you wondering what the man is doing? He's mixing the tea called Cha Ron/Cha yen for the Thais, Teh Tarik for the Malays or simply Milk Tea but mixed with style (as shown above). The first time I saw how they mixed the tea like this (that was 7 years ago, in this same shop and by the same man) I was really fascinated but at the same time wondered why do they have to do that? But when I saw the result - the bubbles it created and how it tasted, I became addicted to it. It's rich, creamy and sweet. Cha Yen , anyone? :)A blessed week to everyone! Read more:Weekend
No title 2008-02-29 14:07:38 If your speakers are on, you'd be hearing one of my favorite songs entitled HELD by Natalie Grant. The first time I heard this song, I couldn't help but cry. It's a song composed by a Mom who lost her two month old baby because of sickness. The most painful part was that the baby died in her arms. She asked God why such thing happened and told God that it's unfair....But in her loss, she experienced God holding her....Just listen to the song, read the lyrics and may you realize what God does in times of our loss, in times of our difficulties, in times of our troubles...HELD by Natalie GrantTwo months is too little. They let him go.They had no sudden healing. To think that providence would Take a child from his mother while she prays Is appalling. Who told us we’d be rescued? What has change

In Search of Lalaine 2008-02-28 11:28:43 For many months now, since I started monitoring my site through Sitemeter, I found out that I've had quite a number of visitors from different parts of the world with one purpose: they were searching for Lalaine in google. I didn't mind this at first since I thought, 'maybe there's a celebrity in a different country with the name Lalaine', So, I didn't bother much about it, until everyday I see about 8-12 people in the same search. Then finally I got curious and went to google myself and searched for what their searching, my name:Lalaine. There I found Lalaine the American celebrity. Lalaine (not me) is a singer and an actress and is famous for being Disney's Lizzie Mguire's best friend, Miranda. She's has a current movie now called Royal Kill. What caught my attention was even though she' Read more:Search
Excited! 2008-02-28 10:50:49 I'm looking forward for the end of the month to come because we're going for a conference in Phuket. And if it's a conference, then it means we'll be staying in a hotel! Yippee! My Hubby used to tease me because he wonders why I always get excited when it comes to staying in hotels. Of course, who wouldn't be? You've got 24 hrs. air-con, cable tv, bath tub, good food, swimming pool, and all the other luxuries you won't be able to enjoy at home.Since it's a conference then everything is already booked and arranged by the organizers so we don't need to worry if ever we could get a room or not. It's hassle-free.Speaking of hotel bookings, there are also such good websites that allows you to do hotel reservations in whichever part of the world you choose! You just need to pick a particular pla

Hot Oil Treatment 2008-02-27 03:29:57 I just did my hair treatment for today. After my excessive hair fall, I'm really serious now of taking good care of my hair by giving it at least a once a week Hot Oil Treatment
. My friend blessed me by giving me the electronic treatment cap and my Nanay gave me 3 bottles of Virgin Coconut oil from the Philippines. The Coconut oil has been with me for several monthsnow but never got to use it and even gave 1 bottle to my mother-in-law. I've heard a lot of good 'testimonials' about this oil and hopefully it will work well for me. I just need to be consistent with treating my hair. My Mom-in-law said that since she was using the VCO (Virgin Coconut Oil) her hair stayed black for a long time. My sister also said, that my brother in law has consistently used this and he has new hair growing in
No title 2008-02-27 03:25:58 Are my eyes playing tricks on me??..Did I see it right? I think I just saw a tiny, weeny green line in my pagerank bar in my google toolbar? Do you see it too? Oh, I hope I'm not mistaken. I've been 'obsessed' for quite awhile about PRs and wondering how and trying to get one. I smiled from ear to ear when I saw that I now have PR1. I just hope it's there even in your toolbar. If it is, I hope it stays there (or if not increase a bit. ;) ...and to my PR, please don't disappear tomorrow morning when I wake up..hehehehe!
Latest Bomb 2008-02-27 01:26:08 No, this is not a destructive bomb that I'm talking about but oppurtunities that I hope are about to explode for signing up for Snapbomb. Have you heard about that? Probably not yet as they are quite new compared to other get paid to blog sites in the business. I was just bloghopping yesterday and got to find out about Snapbomb. Then today, I decided to sign up! The signing up part was so quick since they don't require you to write all the tags, decriptions and etc. about your blog but simply asked for your URL. And guess what? I didn't have to wait for 72 hours nor forever to have my blog approved, but right there and then, it got approved and I immediately got a task! Isn't this cool? Another cool thing is that they also calculate how much your blog is worth (in terms of compensation) a

Letting Go 2008-02-25 19:50:10 My HUbby and daughter went back to Malaysia yesterday for some important transaction. We decided for Tricia to go with her Appa so that she can have time to play with her cousin, Timo and at the same time, it won't be too difficult for me to handle two kids (it's a bit difficult esp. during sleeping time). They are both coming back this evening, but it seemed that my two days here at home dragged for sooo long. I lost count of how many times I called them and thought of them. In other words, I miss them so much especially my Li'l Girl. It was the first time for her to be away from me for so long :) She did enjoy her trip going to Taiping, she enjoyed the bus trip and especially her playtime with Timo. Everytime I called and talked to her, her first question would be " What is Lyle boy doin Read more:Letting
Weekend Snapshot 7 2008-02-24 08:35:01 For many weekends now, we just either stay at our house relaxing or go to the mall to do groceries or just hang out . So, this weekend we decided to go to the beach (but only left the house at about 5PM). And we're glad we did.The nearest beach to our place is only about 30-45 mins drive from our house. It's a nice place to just sit, eat and relax. It's not a safe beach to swim though as there are a lot of jellyfish! Here are my photos. :) It was a windy Saturday evening. I found a few pieces of artwork around the area. What does it look like to you? I like this sculpture but since it's in a public area, some people have vandalized it. Someone has even drawn eyes and mouth on it. Tsk..tsk..tsk.. Yes, we stayed there until night time and only left at 8:30 pm. We indeed had a wonderful time! Read more:Weekend
I'm an APE?? 2008-02-24 07:57:01 Tags or Memes are also great ways to create a viral link. Bloggers pass this around for fun & friendship. These games can also benefit the participants of having their technorati increase and to get free traffic if they are properly played. So, you might wonder how does tags and memes properly played in order to get the side benefits of increasing technorati authority and free traffic?1. Always link back to the person who gave it to you.2. Never keep the tag all for yourself, pass it forward to your friends. Take note, as you pass it to others, don't forget to link their names with their blog's URLs.3. Never forget to tell the person who gave it to you that's it's already posted and to the people you have passed the tag or the meme. Inform them that you have something for them.4. Encou

New Look Part 2 2008-02-22 12:40:52 No, I'm not talking about my site anymore but I'm talking about My New Look. You see I've been keeping my hair long for quite sometime now. Earlier I wanted it to be long and have it treated but then as a practical mom/wife I always put it off since it's quite expensive to have it done ( inot gyd!) . But lately, I've noticed that my hair has been falling off. Yes, literally falling off. I think my hair is too brittle now that it easily cuts and falls off. I could see my hair everywhere from our floor to the kitchen sink. Yes, it's that worse. (I don't know, it must be part of my post pregnancy syndrome. I didn't have any problems with my hair during pregnancy.)So, this afternoon, I had enough of seeing my hair everywhere and off we went to the Saloon. Here is my new look now. :)A blessed w
Things to do in Thailand 2008-02-21 11:29:41 Thailand
is considered my second home. Even if my Hubby is from Malaysia but I lived here in Thailand longer than in Malaysia. I'm thankful that God has allowed us to stay in this beautiful country. Indeed, it's true that this country is just amazing. They have the most beautiful beaches, the gentlest people, and the cheapest bargains. So, if you were to come to this country, here are the things I suggest you to do. 1) Go shopping. For Filipinos, this is a must...to go to the malls and shop or even just window shop. But here in Thailand, the cheapest bargains are found in their weekend markets. Most of the cities have their weekend markets like the Chatuchak in Bangkok. You can buy fashion blouses as low as 50 Baht (that's like 75 pesos). But sad to say, these blouses don't fit me as Thai
New Look! 2008-02-20 10:39:22 Yes, my blog has a new look now. I've always wondered how to do a 3 column template until Janet gave the website which instructs bloggers how to do it. She mentioned that it took her a lot of time to do it, so that's why I just put it off. But this afternoon, I realized that my blog looks so messy and imbalanced with all the ads, icons for search engines and directories on the right side. So, finally I decided to allot some time to do it. Then, I waited until my kids are asleep and did it. It was even funny because I thought I'm already done changing the template (chose thisaway blue) , and was so proud of myself of doing it fast but when I previewed it, the left side was pink! I didn't realize that all the while I was following the instructions for the Rose thisaway!! So, I had do to it a
I'm a Filipino! 2008-03-12 13:35:46 This can be a touchy subject but I can't help but post it.A few days ago, we went for an event. It was an event hosted by the locals and at one part, they were advertising their English Camp. The host was announcing the details of the camp ( he was speaking in Thai) and then he came to the part where he was saying that their teachers are all British, but he didn't stop there. He said something very discriminating. He was telling everyone that during the camp their children will learn the 'real' English as it's being taught by the British people and not the Filipino
ENglish!! He said that!! For a moment, I couldn't believe that he said that and I thought maybe I got it all wrong (since my Thai comprehension is not that good) but then, he repeated "Filipin" again ( I didn't get the second s
When Blogging is No Longer Fun! 2008-03-11 12:16:54 I used to enjoy every bit of my blogging life until I decided to monetize it. :) Only then I realized that to get more opportunities to write advertisements, I need to have PR, heavy traffic or site visits, links and etc. So, I tried my best. I remember there was a day, when I didn't do anything else but applied in several directories and forums. I did all the tags , exchanged links and etc. as they said it will increase technorati and stuff. So, in other words, the 'fun' in blogging diminished since I was already so serious in doing it..where it became "work". I would be so busy bloghopping because I 'needed' to have a lot of links and etc. It would have been better if I got a lot of opportunities or approved blogs from my 'work'. But nothing much happened except another for 3-4 sponspore Read more:Blogging
My Unblogged Life 2008-03-09 23:18:52 I miss blogging and bloghopping. I haven't done both for a few days now since I was ( still am) busy preparing for our Summer Workshop. Today is the first day of the workshop and I'm done in writing/making the book for the kids for this week. I have another book (with the teacher's manual) to finish that is due in two weeks time, but I want to finish it as soon as possible as it's not good to cram since it will result to a lot of sleepless nights and blogless life..LOL!! But if you ask me, I am immensely enjoying in writing the kids' books, it's quite a change from my normal routine and makes my brain in full use..hehehe!! It's quite challenging though as there are constant interruptions like a wailing baby or an active daughter..LOL! Anyways, to all my blogger friends.. I'll be visiting
Gwapito!! 2008-03-14 10:37:04 :) Of course, I call my very own son..gwapito! No one can say anything about that because he's my son..hehehehe!! Kidding aside, I really thank God for our boy as an added blessing in our lives. Our days even if it's busier and with our house messier are filled with joy in being with our kids. Thank you Lord for these precious Li'l Ones. And now it has been 5 months since our Li'l one has been born! Time flew so fast! I think I say this every month..heheheh!! But I just can't believe it because it was just like a few days ago when he was still, quiet and be sleeping all day long...and now, he's jumping up and down (when we hold him of course), he's almost crawling and he's been babbling a lot too.Anyway, if you want to know more to what he's been up to lately..then click here.
Taggy Time and Awards! 2008-03-17 13:56:14 It's time to get back to tagging galore..:) I've been on a break with tags/awards for quite a long time now and I'm sure some of you may have been wondering what happened to the tags you gave me. So, now I would like to let everyone know that I've scheduled to do my tags every monday and I'll be putting all in one post. I'm so sorry if this is inconvenient for some of you. Reason? Because I still want to reapply (maybe in a few weeks time) in the get paid to post site which I've been declined due to my blog ' which lacks original content' (that's what they said..huhuhuh!) As far as I know, my posts are all original so, I made the tags, viral links a culprit for this rejection. LOL! But don't despair, I'm still going to accept tags, links and etc but as I've said, I'll only post them once a Read more:Awards
