Victoria, Australia (AHN) - Teenager Stephanie Gestier has been buried in Victoria after an emotional celebration of her life.
The 16-year-old high school student committed suicide with friend, Jodie Gater, in mid-April.
During the service, which was guarded by police officers, Stephanie’s father, Phillip, thanked family, friends and the police service for their support.
Slide shows and footage showed Stephanie during happy times in her life, both as a young child and a teen.
The deaths of Jodie and Stephanie, which have raised questions over teen Internet use, has prompted online networking program MySpace to offer help to unhappy youths.
The two girls posted messages about their suspected depression and planned deaths online.
MySpace will now offer advertising for information on grief, depression, alcohol, drugs and sexuality.

The young man responsible for the school threat on MySpace is awaiting possible charges.
But what are schools doing in response to this threat? 13’s Rae Chelle Davis joins us now with more.
Ralph and Melissa, although this threat is over schools around Topeka are working with law enforcement officers to make sure they are prepared in case something like this happens again.
The KBI placed schools on high alert yesterday after a girl in Kansas City received a text message stating there would be a school shooting in Kansas…sometime today.

Schools responded by locking down, cancelling field trips, and some simply ignored it.
