4/30: Red Sox/Blue Jays
2008-04-30 21:25:48
Deja Vu. Sox got the win tonight on ANOTHER walk off RBI single, this time coming by way of Jason Varitek. David Ortiz also chipped in earlier in the game with a solo home run. 2-1, Sox win. As always the full game recap tomorrow morning.

Jays, Rays and Automobiles
2008-05-02 06:13:34
I must admit that I’m finally hitting my stride with the Red Sox. The hangover from the Super Bowl loss has faded, the general disgust of the inept Bruins is gone, I’m still riding with the Celtics; but it’s May — the April rust has fallen off and I’m starting to overreact to games. [...]

5/12: Twins/Red Sox
2008-05-12 20:03:25
This trip to Minnesota has been a pretty annoying one.  A blown save, a solo home run fest, a one run loss, and tonight.  The Sox score three in the top of the first, great start.  It’s now in the top of the fifth and we’re losing 4-3. Buccholz has shown himself to be exactly what [...]

2008-05-16 06:24:42
Alright. Tampa Bay is a nice story. A new year, new colors, new logo, a grip full of young exciting talent. A game up on the Sox, everything is lovely. Believe me, I want the East to be more competitive. I want it to be the best division in baseball [...]

Certain games are looked back upon as the “jump start” to a teams ‘true’ selfs. This SHOULD be that game for the Red Sox. Both teams were knocking the ball around, but the Red Sox were never in any threat of not winning this game. Too much firepower. Beckett wasn’t astounding. Actually he was pretty [...]

Interleague is lovely.
2008-05-18 06:56:21
The Red Sox are good when it comes to interleague play, the 2008 version is starting off the same way. 1 game out of sweeping the Brewers right out of town. All that needs to be said for tonights game was perfection. Jon Lester, one of the most popular Red Sox players, has thrown a no hitter. I’m honestly not going to give any opinions on this game other than to say that I’m happy as hell right now. Everyone knows the [...]

Baseball-Reference Game Preview I don’t like the Oakland A’s. I don’t like when the Red Sox play the Oakland A’s (except in the playoffs of course). It pretty much stems from the typical “east coast bias” where I want my ballgame on at 7pm ET during the week, or 1pm ET on the weekend. [...]

Annoying.
2008-05-28 09:32:52
That is how I’d describe last nights game.  Tiresome would also fit.  But annoying would have to be it. From Daisuke leaving with an “apparent hip injury”, as was first reported.  Which later was clarified by Red Sox spokesman Henry Mahegan as “shoulder fatigue”.  So now all that is left to do is wait.  Wait to see [...]

The Sox went 1-5 on this west coast trip. Against two, let’s be honest, pretty mediocre teams. But that has been the Red Sox this season. Nothing really to write home about. Whether it be due to injury, a general lack of strong pitching depth, Julio Lugo… you take your pick. [...]
