Day Light Savings Time Starts on March 9 ~ REMINDER
2008-03-08 20:09:18
Earlier this month I wrote a blog to remind everyone that Day Light Savings Times begins on March 9, which is TOMORROW.So tonight when you go to sleep, just 'spring forward' an hour so you will be on the right time schedule tomorrow.I'm glad I just happened to look at my calendar to notice that.  It's been along week and I've changed time zones several times because of my vacation travel...so don't ask me what time it is right now.    To me, it's 'tired' time....still recovering from vacation. ....   ha.JUST A REMINDER!  Set those clocks tonight. Here's to a wonderful SPRING.

Update: I'm too lazy to show houses
2008-03-08 20:06:49
My Original BlogThis is regarding the guy who told me that I was too lazy to show him homes-- since I refused to show without a pre-approval letter.  I got a call last night from an agent from a Discount Brokerage and we started chatting about her buyer.  Soon, I realized that she was calling about the same guy that I had spoken to-- who called me lazy since I wouldn't show him a listing without a "piece of paper".   She told me that he was supposed to be bringing proof of ability to finance (after numerous other showings) -- when she showed him my listing.  When I quoted him to her "Well, I'm not married to my agent" -- she acknowledged that this buyer was not loyal to her or anyone else.  She was aware that he was trying to g

Presenting An Offer on One of My Listings on a Cruiseship and in an Airport
2008-03-08 20:04:15
Whenever I travel, I go prepared.  I took a copy of my files on my listings with me on my vacation even though I had an agent in the office helping taking care of my business while I was having fun.  By the way, thanks so much Jonathan.Just so happens an offer comes in on one of my listings while I was on the cruise.  We were in the middle of negotiating the offer via SLOW Internet on the cruise when the cruise stopped getting satelite connection and the Internet was down the last afternoon and night of the cruise.  That didn't stop me from getting it presented though.  The next morning as soon as I got to the Ft Lauderdale airport, since our flight was much later, I sat on a bench and used my cell phone to complete the negotiations.  My sellers and my off

THE WAY I SEE IT "THE NATIONAL REAL ESTATE MARKET MESS"
2008-03-08 20:03:44
As the national media continue to scream "the sky is falling". I can't help but think the fear that is created with potential buyers is sad. The way I see it... Real Estate Markets all over the country are having a HUGE SALE! If buyers think like big business owners think they would quickly realize that like stocks, real estate is better when bought at the lowest possible price. If you are a first time home buyer or you are looking to invest this is the perfect time to buy. If you have been watching the stock market you know that it has been dropping like a lead balloon. To someone who thinks like an employee they see it as time to run... To someone who thinks like big business thinks they know it's the best time to buy... What I am basically saying is... if you have ever

What information can I find there? How will you keep me informed during my home search and throughout the transaction?Do you have a staff or a team? Qassia was first spammed to me through Active Rain, so I thought it only appropriate to post a blog post on it.   Basically, it's an MLM concept with allowable backlinks to content, thus boosting SEO results and helping their Revenue Sharing.  So you can make money and boost your site at the same time.  Pretty nifty.  It's invite only and trust me you will get invites, but if the person wasn't honest with you up front about the MLM part of it, then you might want to sign up with me! (BOO! Andrew!)  Check it Out   /

Epic Spring Skiing in Park City!
2008-03-08 19:52:31
With the HUGE SNOWPACK we have here in the Utah Ski Resorts, this year promises to be one of the best “spring skiing” years we’ve had in a long time!  There’s nothing better than waking up on a beautiful, sunny day and hitting the slopes.  You can wear fewer layers, sit in the sun outside during lunch, and just enjoy the outdoors in general on days like this!  Sure, the snow might be a little slushy at the bottom of the mountain, but all in all, it is pretty nice and soft.  It gets you thinking about summer, and the warm days to come, but while still enjoying the great Utah snow.  This year, there might even be the opportunity to ski twice in a day!  If the snow pack lasts long enough, then in late May/June, you can actually SNOW SKI

It took me 8 years to sell them a home...and he sharpened my tools!
2008-03-13 01:25:45
At my past job that I was at for almost 10 years I had a client that visited twice a year for 8 years before we found him the perfect home and lot....Yes, you read that correct, 8 years!  This couple was from Maryland and they loved visiting the Hill Country to get out of the cold.  He reminded me of my dad and he asked me more questions and had me give him more information than any customer ever had.  I can tell you this much though.  He gave me much more than I gave him in those 8 years and I will always value that education!  I laugh today about how I really shouldn't tell people it took me 8 years to close a deal!  If you figured that out in money, I probably made about 50 cents an hour when it was all said and done. I'm telling
