Tivo preparing to support Tru2Way technology in new set-tops

DVR maker TiVo is preparing to support Tru2Way technology, according to a financial statement released by the company. Fomerly known as OCAP, the technology enables two-way interaction over cable set-tops, including services such as games, chat, web browsing and shopping. The technology will only be available in in the form of an upcoming standalone device, however, and not as an update for present set-tops like the Tivo HD or Series 3.

Samsung launches G400 compact camera

Samsung has today announced the launch of its new cellphone G400 which features dual screen clamshell. Announcing at CeBIT in Hanover, Germany, the company said that G400 is designed along the lines of its 'Soul' model. The new G400 also offers a variety of new graphical user interfaces(GUIs) providing a different options for users. GUI skin interface allows users to personalize the user interface with various options like background images, fonts and colours.Shipment of the phone is likely to be done in June.

Even though DP1 is already ready the company hasn't yet done with the release. IBM develops High bandwidth technology

IBM has developed a new bandwidth technology called "Green Optical Link" that is set to transform the way data is received and transmitted. The new technology combines optical chips and data buses into a single arrangement. According to IBM the new technology will have the theoretical capacity to deliver 8Tb of data at a time. More importantly, the power needed to achieve this is just 100 watts which is many times less than what is needed to for an equivalent electrical data connection.The major advantage of this technology will be the easy and fast handling of HD content by web servers besides being environment friendly.
