Right in the [Nix]-on Time! 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I'm an accessory junkie, and I can never have too many earrings, bags, and necklaces and of course watches. I know I only have two hands, but honey, if you're like me, you know that sometimes a basic watch just doesn't always go with your outfit if you're also wearing bracelets. I've found a pretty watch that not only tells the time but also doubles as a playful hand accessory. It reminds me of the 80s, a bit, back to my Punky Brewster days! Oh, and they have them in more colors than orange. If you like statement pieces like me, you might like this Nixon watch. Read more:Right
Giorgio Armani Spring/Summer 2007 haute couture collection at Paris Couture week 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Thanks to my photographer friend (Thierry Chomel) for sending me this picture of Katie Holmes and Victoria Beckham at the Opening Party for the Giorgio Armani
Avenue Montaigne boutique in Paris
. Katie looks so grown up in this sleek velvet black suit. Victoria looks like a bobblehead doll right? But I must say that her cropped hair do is a lot better than when she was wearing those badly botched hairstyles of years past. Anways, here are some looks from the show:Sure, its haute and its not actully meant to be ripped right from the runway and ready to wear, but I can see some of these peices on the hollywood red carpet. The line is very classically elegant and shimmery. Perfect for a star studded night. Read more:collection

Spring/Summer Haute Couture Collection WRAP-UP: CHANEL 1970-01-01 00:59:59 As the week comes to an end I'm giving a last look to the season that was Spring
/SummerHauteCouture
2007. Lets start of with the King Bee himself Karl Lagerfeld for Chanel. Ah, Coco would be proud! The line consisted of mostly tiny little dresses and a hued mood of colors such as black and grey. Sir Lagerfeld's touch was ever so present in the suit styled dresses and use of masculine cuts on many of the black and white pieces. Overall the overarching theme bordered on sweet androgyny
Whats Up With Wal-Mart? 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I remember back in the day when my girls and I would run into Wal-Mart for a printer, cds, lotions, candy, copy paper, pills, coal, air beds...shoot, anything. I mean anything EXCEPT clothes, they were simply too country-looking for our city-esque taste. But, ohh la la..have you seen some of the new clothes at Wal-Mart, I remember seeing some cute ads in Vogue. But my I was so surprised, to find these lovelies that I know you lovely ladies will also appreciate. This romantic blouse is only $12.94 and the puffy sleeve shirt is so Victorian, and I love the eggshell color as well. and its only $10.You can dress up these dresses with a cute blazer and some pumps or strappy sandals, or dress them down to the beach with flip flops and and a cute beach tote. You know i'm all about cheapness...opps , I mean chicness and versatility!!!

New Trend: Cropped Leather Jackets 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I saw my favorite coke fein(alleged) in one of these last year and it made me want one. Everything she wears does that to me; Damn you Kate Moss, Damn you (not really I love you darling!) I mean I seriously can't get tired of her in all those ads and on the runway, and neither can a lot of people. Hmmmm, its like watching Lifestyles of the Rich and famous with Robin Leach. You remember that show? Anyway thats a whole other posting. But it's shown up recently on the other Hilton sister, and I really love how she wears it: nice clean cut skinny pants and a basic white tee. Hmmm, don't you just love it when simplicity looks this good? Well, don't be jealous, you too can have your very own "expensive" looking cropped leather jacket. Like this one I found at Wilson's Leather
, isn't it nice? Lambskin for only $129, I love the zip up front and you can also get it in off-white. I think H&M had these similar leather jackets selling for around $80(can't quite remember), but now Read more:Jackets
Hayden-Harnett Bags do Carry All 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Now I have a slight notion of what Cameo must have been singing about when he said "Oh Its like candy". Because I'm getting a sugar rush just to tell you about this pot of lucky charms I've found. What's as necessary as the LTB (little black dress)? Seriously every girl needs a CAB (carry all bag); for a busy day at work, sleeping over at the boyfriends pad or my favorite - going shopping! Not many women carry the bare essentials in their bags anymore; we've become proud pack rats. But we don't seem to mind, as long as no one looks through our bags with a microscopic lens, we're fine. These people know that its not so much what's on the inside of your bag that tells a lot about you, the outside is surely important too. Let the powers of Utility and Beauty combine!...sorry getting carried away here, but sometimes I do feel like a Fashion Warrior PrincessI recently learned of Hayden

Wrap It Up: Wrap dresses all around 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Yesterday Alicia Keys wore this beautiful blue wrap dress to MTV's TRL in New York City, and I thought she looked so beautiful, and it also made me want to run out a get a pretty wrap dress( what can i say , i'm jealous when it come down to fashiony stuff like dresses and shoes, can you blame me?)The blue looks great on her skin and the complimenting blue eye make-up is really poping out. she was a lil bold to wear it with a leggings, I think a thinner leggings might have worked better, as the showing of the ankle truncates your body size and she's already petite. But still cute!! And check out the blinging accesories! I'm looooovvvviinnnggg the ring! In the process of trying to cop my own pair right now, so if someone knows where to get one let me know before I start hammering away at home trying to get a wearable self-made peice. Ofcourse like any fashionite should I love Diane von Furstenberg! and here are two reasons why:julian Mini Wrap Dress $285.00 and LONA WRAP DRESS IN BLA
Tee Time... 1970-01-01 00:59:59 My brother stayed over last night and wanted to borrow a t-shirt to wear this morning, and of course I couldn't find any except my one remaining "I love NY" oversized tees that I absolutely love. I love it so much I buy them in bulk, in Chinatown in all sizes, some I've made into dress and tanks. He happened to snag the last XL I had, which by the way is super comfy over skinny jeans and looks ab-fab with my dark brown flat boots!Anyways it had me thinking about t-shirts. Wow, I never knew we'd come to the point where t-shirts are so essential that designers had to integrate it into their collection and in different varieties. Most of us have so many different tees that go with our so many different jeans. "Karl Lagerfeld for H&M," Almost sparked near-riots in some locations as fashionistas elbowed their way to the racks( Bythe time I got to Downtown Crossing, in Boston, where I lived at the time, they were all gone!. And on the verge of Lil Kims incarceration Marc did this t-shi
And the award goes to... 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Last night was the 13th Annual Screen Actors Guild Award Ceremony held in la la land(Los Angeles, California). Of course I'm super happy because my make-believe best friend Effie, got her award (Go J Hud)! Oh, and there were some well-dressed people too...lolI've chosen six (yes I know there were a lot of attendees but trust me you're not missing much not seeing the other, so be thankful I've already skimmed through for you) of my favorite from the evening. Jada Pinkett Smith was killing it in her bright pink dress and of cousre Demi Moore seems to be ahead of springs trend for bright blues as she controlled the red carpet. I actually really like America Ferrara in this Olive dress way better than the purple one she wore to the Emmys; you can see her in all her curve-atious glory. By the way if there are people among us out there that still get their prom dresses made( does anyone still do this? or do they run out to Nordstrom?), look to the red carpet for inspiration, there's

High(Waisted) and Mighty? 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I am a jeans fein, I seriously have pairs upon pairs. I can't seem to resist when a new wash, new cut or new trend emerges. I feel really comfortable in jeans; I wear them in the office, to a night out and a day shopping with the girls. Well about two years ago, I remember Scarlett Johansson wearing some pretty fierce looking high waisted jeans at a Imitation of Christ fashion show, swaggering her hips down the runway like a vixen with a cigarette. I thought she looked like a 70's disco dancer. And now I see them on many of my fave shopping sites, in stores and then I even saw this Diesel ad and the pants that look kinda cute( if you look like the model)? I'm kinda on middle ground about my feelings for this trend. I think it can be hot, and funky. But I'm a little bit intimidated though as to whether I'd take the leap and buy a pair. What do you think? They can be very Charlie's Angels as well as they can be very, well, Murder She Wrote, if you get my drift. Take the pollFree Read more:Mighty
BCBG Max Azria - Toocute Best of New York Fashion Week Fall 2007 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I thought we were over bubbly type dresses, but I guess not, I guess i'll have a somewhat artistic overcoat to wear when i'm preggers. However, I do love the playful soft fabrics, neautrals and purples that were used like the one for this Roman inspired dress, loving the loose flirty feel and the gold belt. I can definetly see this as "ready to wear".These two looks are so cute, I'd wear this one to a charity event and i'd wear the short one to a night out with mr.Jahaute( yes complete with the hat..lol) And I'm seriously Looovvvinnng this gold and black shoes, I have a similar pair in all white and they look so hot with anything, dress or pants. ThreeasFour, Alice Roi,Alexandre Herchcovitch and more - Toocute Best of New York Fashion Week Fall 2007 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Threeasfour desingers did a good job of using circular cuts to piece fabrics together. My favorite designer yesterday was Alexandre
Herchcovitch, i loved how his line reflected a mix of different fabrics, his inspirition coming from indigent plantation and mine workers of his native Brazil dress. I was surprised to see a garbage bag in the mix, not sure if that will take off from the runway and be a hit seller in stores, but have you ever seen a garbage bag look that good? View My Lookbook at Style.comAnd if you thought skinny pants were all the rage on the runway, think again, here are some looks I ripped from a couple designers yesterday. NYC FASHION WEEK: Map it out 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Its began, and for the upcoming days be sure to check in for updates and insights into the madness that is Fashion Week. Zoozoom has tried to make the days less hectic with their fashion map( fabulous idea for the directionaly-challenged like moi). Oh, and just so you know you don't have to be exclusive or even a part of the fashion crowd to enjoy fashion week, trust me, last year some of the best stuff i got, were promotions off the streets surrounding the tents: like bras, hair products and hand bags( yup!). The morning shows are the best for this though.
ammm....these be "overpants"? 1970-01-01 00:59:59 underpants are meant to be worn "under" right? Come on now Sienna, I love you but you just lost one point, with this hideous gettup...If this ever becomes the next fashion trend i'll walk around naked. I really would!
Stella McCartney to design bags for Le Sportsac 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Word on the industry street is that Mademoiselle McCartney
will be deigning a series of bags for Le Sportsac. I for one am excited because (A) I like Stella
's take on simple yet edgy design
s and (B) I looovvveee me some Lesportsac, still pinning over the tokidoki remix. Now we all remember what she did for Adidas, I never wanted to do exercise more than when I saw the revamped line, actually it made me start group yoga, I finally had some cute gear to wear).and H&MWe all remember what happened here (unless you were one of the lucky heifers who actually got to even see the line before it disappeared from the shelves and racks of H&M). I was very pissed, this was what I've been envisioning for years; affordable, chic designer clothes! I'll keep my ears and eyes glued for anymore details. Read more:Stella McCartney
The Skinny Model Debate: Let them eat cake! 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Oh heck...Paris Haute week just wrapped up and we're on the heel of NYC fashion week, and of course there is still the heated debate about the "toothpick thin" models. What to do, what to do? The industry is certainly getting a lot of pressure from people both within and outside. Shoot, I say let it be. These people have built an empire on skinny-ness being the epitome of a great model (ok except Tyra Banks - who claims she was never bone thin, on her Larry King Interview last night). But I digress, point is Rome was not built in one day, and it'll probably take more days to renovate. The fashion industry needs a self-evaluation and a make-over, true. Most of these models have a steady diet of fruits, miso soup and cigarettes, true. It will take more than talk to have more "healthier" looking models on the runway, true.We know for sure that they'll be a staple on the London catwalksWhat's you're two cents on the issue? Golden Steal:The Look for Less 1970-01-01 00:59:59 X Todays Style Steal

Style Lady: Rachel Roy 1970-01-01 00:59:59 If there is one show I can't wait to see this fashion week is that of Rachel
Roy. All year I was pining over everything, I mean everything she wore and created; she has such an elegant yet simplistic style. I must admit that back in the day when i heard the wife of Damon Dash was creating a line I thought, damn another Kimora Lee Simons and another Baby Phat! But I was so wrong (nothing against Kimora, I love the sexy party dresses), she's so much more. You can wear her clothes to go out, to the office they're not overly embellished, overly tight and you must likely wont be looking like everyone else trying to live a life of Fabulosity. She's gorgeous and talented, so I want all the haters to stop hating about if Aaliyah(check out the comments) were still alive yada yada...what time is it? 2007 and we're loving Rachel! And overall she seems like a very open and nice person. I was reading in the January issue of Vogue US where she said "i get dressed with the goal of wanting to lo Read more:Style
TooCute Picks of New York Fashion Week Fall 2007 1970-01-01 00:59:59 If its one thing United Bamboo are known for its there Coats, so of course it made sense that they'd be the best of the show.Abaete, stayed true to their signature of asymmetrical cuts, and of course had great accessories like some sexy mod shoes and boots. Tons of patent and black rules the catwalk, along with bright whites, sexy minis and some colors thrown in for good measure of course. Lela Rose did well to highlighter strengths as well: the girl type floaty dresses. More two pieces were seen though. Like some sexy well tailored belted above the knee skirts and crisp looking tops. It was all in the details at the 3.1 Phillip Lim show. All the pieces adhered to the ready to wear them, with sexy party dresses, a mix of metallic, whites DKNY, showed us that her New York
was the one that's a mixing pot, and within the pot is some of the City of Light - Paris. The show featured many Parisian styled touches. Luella kept it Royal - as in very British with this seasons mix.Tracey Reese s Read more:Fashion

Marc my word! - Marc Jacobs at New York Fashion Week 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Ah...so fresh, and ever so bold Mr. Jacobs
is offering up another dose of "Not what you'd expect" . Seriously all 56 looks that came down the runway were def ready to be worn off the runway. He stayed away from last years layers and bubbles and bulks but opted for the opposite: sleek narrow styles with tons of color. Like Paris in the 40s, complete with hats and gloves. I must also say that the working office female will find no shortage of classic comfy yet stylish and somewhat edgy suits to wear. The whole line was very professional in feel, tailored pants and below the knee skirts, vest cuts and jackets, the whole works. The accesories were as much a part of the show as the clothes, the necklaces were bold and colorful, the gloves were often long and bright, the belts were double folded, the shoes were very victorian. Here are some of my favorites: Read more:Fashion
