Fire Joe Morgan 2008-02-19 18:15:00 If you have any interest in baseball (and if you likes your HGH like I likes me HGH, then I knows you do), Fire Joe Morgan
is one of the funniest, most interesting, most readable, most greatest sites out there. And in one of their recent articles, they breakdown this ridiculous article in the New York Post that attempts to refute a scientific study which determined that Derek Jeter was the worst fielding shortstop in the league. An excerpt from Fire Joe Morgan (NY Post’s crap in italics) researchers concluded that Alex Rodriguez was one of the best shortstops in the game when he played for the Texas Rangers. This is an interesting finding. I wish I knew more about how the study worked. Just kidding: give me what Mike Birch has to say on the matter. Mike Birch works at Lids, the hat
BUMRUSH Girl of the Month: Jessica Biel 2008-02-16 15:28:00 The tough part of this post was picking which pictures not to put up here of Jessica
Biel.Best Movie: The Illusionist. Up until the Illusionist, I pretty much lumped Biel into the Jessica Alba/Kate Bosworth group of pretty faces who can’t really act. But she was great in this movie and was actually able to hold a scene with the always talented Edward Norton. I liked this movie better than the other 19th century magician-based mystery film that came out in 2006, The Prestige, and Biel was a part of that reason. A small part, but she added something to the table.Worst Movie: Blade: Trinity. This horrible movie was really her fault, as she wasn’t given much to work with in this piece of garbage. Nor did she really fit into a movie that was SUPPOSED to be about a badass vampire hunter name Read more:Month

Yes We Can 2008-02-09 10:57:00 This blog is not a space for trumpeting politics or personal beliefs, but it is a voice, however small, in a world full of billions looking for hope in a world that is often harsh and unfair. After watching the will i am video "Yes We Can" about the Barack Obama four times in a row, I made the decision that I had to post it here. For the first time in my adult life, I believe in someone running for president.from will.i.am on the video's website: But this time it’s not that simple...and there are a lot of people that are torn just like i am...So for awhile I put it off and i was going to wait until it was decided for me...And then came New Hampshire...And i was captivated...Inspired...I reflected on my life...and the blessings I have...and the people who fought for me to have these righ
I'm fukin' Matt Damon 2008-02-02 09:01:00 This pretty much explains everything that is great about Matt Damon
. It doesn't get much better than him.
BUMRUSH Girl of the Month: Helena Bonham Carter 2008-01-20 17:55:00 First, Helena
Bonham Carter
has the sexiest name in all of Hollywood. Second, despite the scummy roles she often plays in (such as Bellatrix Lestrange in the latest Harry Potter movie), she's always attracted me in that dangerous bad girl kind of way. Call me a sucker for mysterious girls, but you can't deny that Bonham Carter cleans up well:Best Movie: If you count the roles in which she was a supporting actress (and she does the supporting thing a lot), it would absolutely have to be Fight Club. But while Bonham Carter did a fine job in the movie, it really was a Ed Norton/Brad Pitt vehicle. I've also heard good things about Sweeney Todd, but I haven't had a chance to see it yet.Worst Movie: Again, it's really not her fault, but Planet of the Apes sucked ass. I was a huge fan of the ear Read more:Month

Kiefer Sutherland: Pretty Good at Jail 2008-01-19 08:54:00 I really had no idea that Kiefer Sutherland has been in jail the past 48 days on a drunken-driving charge and violation of his probation. According to this article, he's spent his sentence cleaning sheets, pillowcases and blankets on laundry duty. No word on whether he was able to bring his dog or giant rocking chair with him to jail. Rambo 4 2008-01-19 08:27:00 We've been surprisingly mum on the new Rambo
movie, which is strange since Rambo pretty much was the 80's for us. The new Rambo trailer has been out a while, so you may have already seen it, but it is balls out insane for the amount of blood and decapitations in it. I think it's safe to say that Rambo is back.
Your Bill Bixby Clip of the Day: The Towel Whip 2008-01-19 08:21:00 The quality of this video is horrible (tracking! tracking!) but it's absolutely worth a watch simply for the towel whips delivered to David Banner. I haven't felt such pain since junior high... Read more:Towel
Video Games Are Useful After All 2008-01-19 07:39:00 According to this article, a man by the name of Paxton Galvanek helped rescue two victims from an overturned SUV on the North Carolina interstate. He was the first one on the scene and safely removed both individuals from the smoking vehicle and treated their wounds. The crazy thing about the story: His medical background and knowledge came entire from playing as a medic in the video game America's Army. A quote from Galvanek:In the case of this accident, I evaluated the situation and placed priority on the driver of the car who had missing fingers... I then recalled that in section two of the medic training, I learned about controlled bleeding. I noticed that the wounded man had severe bleeding that he could not control. I used a towel as a dressing and asked the man to hold the towel on Read more:Games

The word "stock" beats "sex" in keyword searches 2008-01-05 17:41:00 ...in China. Fortunately, in Egypt, the top search would still appear to be "sex." In the US, it disappointingly appears to be "Yahoo." Come on, we can do better than that.
I Don't Do Fast, Please Overtake 2008-01-05 17:27:00 According to this article, a woman has been banned from driving after traveling less than 10mph on a highway in Bristol, England. According to this woman:"I didn't intend getting onto the motorway, but all of a sudden I found myself on it and I could not get off, I just panicked. I hate that particular stretch of road and I avoid it normally. It is my nemesis."A little crazy, right... Anyway,"I thought "thank God" when I saw the blue flashing lights," she said. "I thought they could help and I asked them if they could drive me home."When I see the blue flashing lights, my thoughts are much, much different. Read more:Please

BUMRUSH Girl of the Month: Kate Beckinsale 2007-10-20 07:35:00 Here’s all you need to know about Kate Beckinsale
. She was placed at #23 in FHM's "100 Sexiest Women in the World", #16 in Maxim's "HOT 100" (2003), #63 in Stuff's "100 Sexiest Women in the World", and selected as "England’s #1 Beauty” by Hello! magazine. You want more? Ok, she starred in Underworld and Underworld: Evolution which were both worth the price of admission simply because of her and what she was wearing. Plus, she’s done nude in The Haunting and Uncovered (NSFW).Best Movie: Aviator aside, which she only had a minor part in, the IMDB voters say her best movie was Much Ado About Nothing, directed and starring Kenneth Branagh in 1993. That’s crap I say. For my money, it doesn’t get any better than hot women in leather, aka Underworld, or if you prefer Underworld: Evolu Read more:Month

Rock stars more likely to die prematurely 2007-09-04 07:58:00 From Yahoo news: Researchers at the Centre for Public Health at Liverpool John Moores University studied more than 1,000 rock musicians and found they were two to three times more likely
to suffer a premature death than the general population...Thank god we got to the bottom of that problem. How much time did they spend researching this? Read more:stars
BUMRUSH Girl of the Month: Helen Slater 2007-09-03 21:29:00 Helen Slater
had an amazing cinematical run from 1984 to 1987, starring in Supergirl, The Legend of Billie Jean (1985), Ruthless People (1986), and Secret of My Succe$s (1987) in four year period. But she gets my attention for her role in Supergirl, which I was absolutely obsessed with when I was a kid. It wasn't natural. You could say I had my first movie-star crush on her back in the day. There is something about a strong woman rolling around in tar that gets me excited to this day. I’ve actually watched Supergirl again about 5 years ago and the movie does not hold up in the least bit. It’s total cheese, actually pretty painful to watch. But, if you grew up in the 80’s it’s tough not to have a soft spot for Helen Slater, who was the Jessica Alba of her day. Read more:Month

Six of the Worst Movie Scenes Ever 2007-06-20 14:36:00 Worst Death Scene from Enter The Ninja is fucking hilarious. I hope my death is exactly like that.
The Worst Fight Scene of All Time 2007-06-04 20:21:00 This is honestly both the worst and most hilarious fight scene I've ever seen in my life. It's apparently from a movie called "Undefeatable" that was made around 1994, although I haven't check that for sure. This totally fits under the it's so bad it good category. All I have to say after watching it is "uurrhhggg!!!".

BUMRUSH Girl of the Month: Shannon Elizabeth 2008-05-10 22:06:00 Best Movie: According to IMDB, the highest rated movie she’s been in was Love Actually (a 7.8 out of 10). But since her credit in that movie was “Harriet, the sexy one” – and I’m totally serious about that – her actual best (and I’m using that term lightly) movie was American Pie (6.8) where she basically became famous for showing her tits (not that there is anything wrong with that) Read more:Month
