It's Just a Game
2007-02-03 08:52:14
What is it with people who take video games so seriously. I mean I enjoy getting my game on as much as possible, but no matter how often I play I know that it is just a game. Yet if you tell some people that they get all bent out of shape like you just attacked the very core of their existence. They treat their video game like it is real life, if they die on the game they become angered beyond control. Last time I checked video games were designed as entertainment. A first person shooter game is not military training, becoming one of the best clans on a tournament ladder is not going to make you any more popular. It's not going to make you more popular, people in the real world don't care if you are a good Rainbow 6 or World of Warcraft player. They care about who you are on the inside, if you are a decent person who is fun to be around. My advice is use video games wisely, as the entertaining system they were designed to be, and grow up, after all, it's just a game.

Semi-Professional Photographer
2007-01-25 09:29:00
I have always taken an interest in the world of photography. I have an excellent digital camera with a 12x optical zoom, image stabilization and a whole bunch of other bells and whistles. I just love to take pictures, not normal pictures at events but really creative artistic pictures. It seems now everytime I pick up a camera I am more interested in taking those kind of shots than shots of whatever actual event is going on. I have been doing this for quite some time now so I guess the question was, "what do I do with them?" I mean, I like to look at them, but I feel they are sitting around being wasted on just me. So I began a search, and this is what I found. Big Stock Photo, Dreamstime, Fotolia, ShutterStock, IStockPhoto, Alamy These are all websites that will actually post your pictures online and sell them to graphics and web designers all over the world. They list them on their sites as royalty free images, you authorize them to sell them on your behalf and everytime someone d

Mesothelioma Lawyers?
2007-01-24 06:28:30
I heard that the term "mesothelioma lawyers" is one of the highest paid cost per click search terms on the market, but what the hell is a mesothelioma lawyer? I mean some of these guys are paying upwords of $50 per click to get someone to check out their website, they must be making some serious money doing what they do. So I decided to look it up, it turns out that is is some kind of lung disease you get from exposure to asbestos. No wonder these guys are willing to pay so much, they don't just sue, they sue big rich companies for multi-millions of dollars. If you suffer from this mesothelioma thing, then I say "Find a good lawyer and sue that company for whatever you can get, they deserve it!"

Saltwater or Freshwater?
2007-01-19 04:59:41
So I have always wanted a saltwater aquarium. I have had several freshwater aquariums in the past but they were always a lot of work, they smelled funny and the fish aren't near as colorful and fun to look at as the saltwater tanks that I had always seen on tv. So a couple of years ago I went out and bought a saltwater tank, not just any saltwater tank but a beautiful 55 gallon hexagon plexiglass tank. It was beautiful to look at it. After picking out my tank I then went and picked out a couple of fish and thought I was good to go. Boy, was I wrong. I bumped into someone in the fish department at the pet store and my nightmare began. First, I couldn't just buy a tank I had to get the $300 stand to set it on, I had to have certain types of sand and chemicals and pumps and filtration and wave simulators and lighting and, and, and, the list never stops. Oh, by the way forget the fish, it takes three months to get your tank ready before you should even think about fish. Three months l

Tostitos BCS National Championship
2007-01-18 05:52:27
I would just like to say one thing that should sum up the Tostitos Bowl BCS National Championship were University of Florida played Ohio State............GO GATORS!!!!!!!! I was pulling for them the entire time and knew they could pull it out even though they were the underdogs! For those of you who might have been stranded on an island and unable to see the thrashing the Gators gave the Buckeyes, let me sum it up for you.....41-14! Yep, not only did the Gators prove they had earned the chance to play the buckeyes (contrary to popular opinion) but they proved THEY were the force to be reckoned with with a 27 point victory! I said it once and I'll say it again......GO GATORS!!!

Problems with Google
2007-02-15 18:51:18
I have had nothing but problems with google. So here is my story: About six months ago I began creating web sites, lots and lots of web sites. I have a friend who has a bunch of informational websites covered with google adsense advertising, and he makes a pretty good amount of money off of people clicking on his advertisements. So I thought to myself, hell why not, I know how to design a website and I enjoy writing. So I began creating a bunch of informational websites. Some with my own stories and life experiences and some with other people’s articles that I have collected and had permission to use. I then went and opened up an adsense account, inserted the html code into my site and uploaded. Everything was going fine for about three months or so. It took a little while for my sites to get listed in the search engines and start getting some visitors, but I was getting a couple of dollars a day in advertising clicks, and I knew it would just continue to grow. So one day I log

Planes, Trains & Automobiles -What is your preferred method of travel?
2007-02-15 18:49:31
Personally, I’m going to go with automobiles on this one. They say that planes are actually the safest way to travel, and I will agree with that as a train crashes in the United States every 24 hours and only God knows how many cars crash every day. Yet, I still feel more secure in my own vehicle. Maybe it’s because I’m in control, maybe it’s the fact that I can pull over at any time and get out, walk around and stretch my legs. Or maybe it’s just the fact that the only crying babies I have to deal with are my own. No matter whether it be one or all of the above, I definitely like travel by auto better, no matter how much faster a plane is.

Playstation 3 Games go to XBOX 360?
2007-02-25 09:33:11
When the Playstation 3 was preparing for release they made their biggest selling point the fact that the PS3 would have so many dedicated original titles (titles that would only be released on the PS3 and no other platform). So they sold a ridiculous amount of them to people who were looking to play PS3 specific games. Yet, now a couple of months has passed since the PS3 was first released on the market and every time I open a video gamer magazine a see another article about a PS3 title that is now available on all platforms. So what is the story, what is hype and lies put forth by Playstation to try and generate more sells in a short amount of time. Or did the game developers realize that sony would not be selling near as many PS3's as they had anticipated and these developers are releasing their games to other platforms to increase their own sales. I mean if I went out and spent all the time and money into a brand new state of the art video game and it only worked on a console that

Departed - Movie
2007-03-02 08:21:36
I just watched the Best Movie of the Year, Oscar winner - The Departed . I must say that I had very high hopes going into this movie. It had an exceptionally star studded cast, several awards and nominations andthere was an insane amount of hype from the general public (friends and family included). I will start by saying I was not disappointed. This movie met and exceeded all of my expectations. I mean going in, I was hoping for the best. After all I am a huge Jack Nicholson fan, Mark Wahlberg as well especially after his performance in Invincible. Matt Damon is okay I guess, I mean he is Jason Bourne. Back to my point though, this movie won the oscar because it absolutely deserved the win, and although I have yet to see the Last King of Scotland, Dicaprio's acting in this movie should have earned him the best actor oscar. If you have yet to see the masterpiece by Martin Scorsese, rent it immediately.

The Next Motocross Champion???
2007-03-09 06:33:05
Okay probably not. But I did finally go out and buy myself a dirtbike. You see last year I bought my son a Honda XR70 dirtbike, a perfect bike to learn to ride on for a ten year old. The problem has been that since we moved to Florida, the riding setup the have here is a little bit different than what I am used. There is a ton of places with foresty trails to ride for the whole day, which is great, unless you have a 10 year old who is just learning to ride. The last thing you want is him crashing out in the woods somewhere and not knowing what to do. So, needless to say, he hasn't ridden much since we got it. Today, however, I have remedied that situation. I went out and bought a Honda CRF 450 Motocross bike. It is perfect, all the factory stuff you want plus a bunch of aftermarket stuff that just makes it pretty. It is a win win situation for everyone. He has his bike, I have mine, and we get to spend the weekends together out on the trails riding together. Father son moments and me

XBOX 360 & the 3 Red Lights of Death
2007-03-10 08:08:54
If you have ever seen the 3 red lights of death, than you know the trauma I am going through. I turned on my 360 today only to find the 3 red lights of death, (that is the top left, bottom left, and bottom right light quadrants of the 360 light ring). I then did a search on the internet to find that this is the worst thing that can happen to your 360 short of dropping it off a cliff. You see the 360 lights are designed to help you figure out the problem the system is having but the 3 red lights of death, represent that the 360 has no clue what is wrong with itself. So the process begins, the lengthy process that almost every one of my friends who own a 360 have had to go through. The microsoft return process. This horrible process can take anywhere from 2-6 weeks to resolve, and for an addictided gamer that is some withdrawal that I have not quite prepared myself for. Yet, I have no other option but to quit cold turkey. Microsoft has seen my addiction and has forced an intervention up

UFC 69 - The Uprising
2007-03-13 05:41:09
Tim "The Maniac" Sylvia vs Randy "The Natural" Couture. This has got to be the greatest fight in UFC history. Now keep in mind I have been a UFC fan for quite some time and seen pretty much every fight that has ever taken place in the Octogan, but by far, this was the most exciting one I have ever witnessed. The men of mixed martial arts have got to be some of the fiercest competitors in the sports world today. Chuck "The Iceman" Lidell, Tito Ortiz "The Hunnington Beach Bad Boy", George "Rush" St. Pierre (GSP), these guys are amazing. Watching a heavyweight title bought fight in boxing, where the guys get paid tens of millions of dollars to stand in a ring and hug each other for 12 rounds has absolutely nothing on a UFC fight. But one fight in particular, this fight, Sylvia vs Couture, was absolutely amazing. It was the stuff that dreams are made of. A 43 year old Couture comes out of retirement to dethrone a 6'8" giant. The underdog fight of the century and Couture starts it with a

How old is too old to have a baby?
2007-03-29 21:03:59
Okay, yes it is the decision of the mother but I think that she should remember the responsibility that she took on when she became a parent. And the number one responsibility is to the safety and well being of the child. Personally I feel that having a child at that age is reckless and irresponsible. It is her job to raise that child to the best of her ability and provide for it the best environment growing up. Ignoring the obvious health concerns during pregnancy let's talk about the first 18 years of this child's life. At almost 50 years old she may be able to physically have a baby but what about as that child grows? Age 5 - Parents take child to his/her first cartoon movie, one child ticket, two seniors. Great deal I guess, but everyone weill be commenting on how cute their grandchild is. Age 10 - Child is becoming extremely active in sports and after school activities, and needs his dad to teach him to throw a ball and shoot a basket, but arthritis keep dad in his favorit

When will Sanjaya go away?
2007-03-30 17:05:17
Seriously why is this guy still around? He does not have the talent of the other contestants, so I believe this is the reason - Sanjaya is only on still because of votefortheworst.com Howard Stern and his followers are supporting this site to keep the worst ai contestant on. They are telling everyone to specifically vote for Sanjaya. This whole site is garbage, they just want to ruin what american idol is all about.

UFC 69 - Will it be GSP or Serra
2007-03-30 16:43:06
Question of the day is with the up and coming fight will it be Georges "Rush" St. Pierre or Matt "the Terra" Serra . Personally I feel that GSP is at the top of his game and is a force to reckoned with, I really don't think Serra stand a chance in the ring. Although Serra is a good trainer from what I have been told I do not feel that he has what it takes to dethrone GSP. I mean he barely squeeked by the Ultimate Fighter series for the win. I really don't see him giving Georges St Pierre a dificult win.

Florida Gators to make history
2007-04-02 05:42:45
The Flordia Gators have officially proclaimed themselves a dynasty. With last years NCAA Men's basketball win against UCLA starting off an incredible Gator journey. Follow that with another Florida win in the NCAA Men's football championship Tostito Bowl, and you have a recipe that would drive any college campus insane. But the Gator appetite was not quite supressed, as they have returned for another win. After dominating the Ohio State Buckeyes in Men's Football, this year they challenge them in Men's basketball. The defending champions will definitly come out to win, but the Buckeyes have a score to settle. No matter the outcome I am sure that Monday nights game is sure to be a crowd pleaser.

Everyone needs advertising and design work done. But in a world full of graphic & web designers how do you find the right one. The right designer that can truly help your company to make a name for itself in the realm of small business. Some of the best companies that I have ever worked with I have been referred to not by telephone book listings or search engines but by word of mouth, so here is my recommendation for a great graphic & web design company who gets the job done at the right price.

Have prices gone up?
2007-04-01 06:14:12
Prices on the things we buy are not going up as they appear, it only seams that way, it is actually the value of our dollar going down. With paper money on the downfall, we have to be very careful where we invest. Everyone should have a diversified portfolio, and most investment consultants will tell you one of the best places to invest is in precious metals. Silver, platinum and gold coins, are a great investment as no matter how much the value of our dollar drops, gold coins will always retain their value. They are literally worth their weight in gold!

Disneyworld is the best
2007-04-03 17:29:53
I live in St. Augustine, FL and I must tell you that one of my favorite places to go is to Orlando. Orlando is basically an amusent park filled entertainment based city. It has 52 different theme parks, golfing, beaches within a 40 minute drive, amazing resorts and the second largest convention center in the world. What more could you ask for, oh yeah, Disney World packages. Complete resort packages for your entire trip at a place so magical and entertaining you could spend a week in Orlando and never even leave Disney World. Remember the theme park world is highly competitive, so parks are always changing and updating with new and better rides. If you haven't been to Orlando is a couple of years than you are definetly going to need to go back if nothing else than to just check and see all the fun things that have changed.

Who says what wine goes with what foods?
2007-04-03 06:08:41
With so many different types and flavours of wines out there, who is to say which wine goes with the best food? I mean, let's talk about red wine, as it is supposed to be very healthy for the heart and colon of aging men. You've got your Merlot, Cabernet Sauvignon, Shiraz, Pinot Noir, Zinfandel, Sangiovese and Barbera. That is a lot of choices just for red, not to mention all of the different makers and flavours and years of each individual bottle. So who gets to decide which type, vineyard and year goes with a Ribeye and baked potato. Personally I just go with what tastes good. What bothers me however is going into a restaurant and being told "The chef recommends a 1968 Cabernet with that." Maybe he likes that bottle, maybe they just have an overstock and are looking to get rid of it, either way I'm not falling for it. I can find one kind of wine that I like and drink it with whatever meal is put in front of me. I mean why get so snobby, it's just a beverage.
