The Gators have done it !!!

The Florida Gators have done it again. They officially beat the Ohio State Buckeyes again tonight, this time in basketball. They are the NCAA Men's College Basketball Champions, AGAIN!!! With two back to back basketball championships and a football championship thrown in between, the Florida Gators have officially created their dynasty. They are absolutely a force to be reckoned with. They are the current national champions in two different sports. I believe with March Madness at a close we have become a Gator Nation.

New Gwen Stefani CD

I just got the new Gwen Stefani and I must say I am impressed. This new cd has a very unusual pop, reggae, ska sound to it. Unlike a lot of cds out there where every track sounds the same and the only good songs you hear on the radio, ach track is original and has its own sound. You could randomly pick any track on this cd and it is radio worthy. Great beats mixed with great lyrics although a few unnecessary curse words thrown in for no reason whatsoever, but hey, it's the hip hop world, so you kind of expect it.


Justin Timberlake on Nickelodeon

I just finished watching the Nickelodeon Kid's Choice Awards live from Los Angeles, and I must say it was fun television. Sure some of it was a little cheezy but for the most part I thing it was done well. Justin Timberlake hosted this year and he did a great job. Not as funny as the times he hosted Saturday Night Live but still it was pretty good. I love the fact that all those celebrities showed up even at the risk of getting slimed to show the kids how important they are. I have to show my respect for all the celebrities that showed up and gave a fun performance for the kids. It is great to see a more comical fun carefree side to a normally boring celebrity face. Good job, JT.

Can't keep the grass alive

Why is it so hard to keep this darn Florida grass alive? Florida has to be the most dificult area to grow a nice looking yard of anywhere in the United States. Every other house I have ever lived in and yard I have ever maintained has been very simple in comparison to what I am dealing with now. On the west coast if I had a weed, I pulled it out, if the grass started to die in one area I fertiziled and watered it and it grew back. Not here on the east coast, here a little part of your yard starts to change color and you have some crazy bug infestation that within days takes over your whole yard and ends up costing you thousands of dollars to fix. Because now you have to wait for it to all die, tear it out and lay new sod. This grass is just ridiculous. I am about to just lay concrete over my entire lawn.

Maroon Five's new song "Makes me Wonder" is hot. I don't care what anybody says on this one. Maroon 5 is awesome. I love the totally unique sound that this band brings to the music industry and absolutely cannot wait for their new album releas. If the rest of the album is anything like this new song, I am sure it will go platinum immediately. These guys are on top of their game right now, so look for them at the top of the charts.

For all the UFC fans out there I only have one question. What in the world happened to Georges "Rush" St Pierre. First round TKO by Matt "the Terror" Serra are you kidding me. I know that Serra was the underdog and sometimes the underdog pulls out a win, but this was completely unexpected. This guy is not even a fighter, he ahs been a trainer for years. And the worst part is that he is a jujitsu specialist and wins by striking! This is unheard of especially against GSP, who is one of my favorite fighters. I am absolutely disgusted with what happened.

I just found a great link exchange program and wanted to share it with all my fellow bloggers. It is called Links Highway and the best thing about this link exchange program in comparison to other exchanges is that this one is free. Well, technically it does have accounts that you can upgrade to if you are a little lazier and don't want to send manual requests, or are just in a hurry to get the job done. But I assure you the free version of this works just as good, you simply have to remember to log in and submit around 30 requests per day until you have hit the whole list, but then you are good to go. Deep Impact - Movie Review

Tonight I watched "Deep Impact", I know it is an older movie (1998 to be exact) but I I enjoy watching older movies once in a while, it helps remind me how far technology has come in even a short amount of time. Morgan Freeman, Robert Duval, Tea Leoni not a bad cast. It had some good action, decent special effects, and a fair amount of suspense. The only real problem I had with this movie is that I am pretty sure that I had seen it before but it had Bruce Willis in it and was called Armageddon. Seriously, oversized meteor coming towards earth, drilling team sent up to deliver nukes, meteor becomes two meteors. This is the same storyline, the only difference is the ending. Not to mention both of these movies were released around the same time. What were these people thinking, no wonder hardly anybody has seen it. Are these script writers running out of ideas or was there just a bit of writers block in the late nineties?
