Comic Book Review: Countdown to Final Crisis #8 2008-03-06 09:37:57 Countdown to FinalCrisis
continues to chug steadily toward its conclusion. There is no doubt that this title has been a serious disappointment and a mere shell of what 52 was. However, at least Dini has delivered serviceable reads as we head to the end of this title. Will Dini be able to keep it rolling or will Countdown to Final Crisis suffer from an unsatisfactory ending? Comic Book Review: Thor #6 2008-03-04 14:18:19 With the exception of the one issue dedicated to JMS’ bizarre obsession with punking out Tony Stark, The Revolution has been impressed with Thor. JMS appears to have a nice handle on Thor’s character. And JMS’ style of writing is an excellent match for a magic based title full of Norse gods. I am sure that Thor #6 will be another quality read. Comic Book Review: Teen Titans #56 2008-03-04 08:49:47 The Revolution found the last issue of the Teen Titans

Comic Book Review: All Star Batman and Robin #9 2008-03-03 14:38:21 The Revolution always has a blast reading Miller’s All Star Batman
and Robin
. I know that many people have been turned off by Miller’s obviously outrageous take on Batman in this title. And, yes, Miller has become incapable of writing any title without making it seem like Sin City. However, I appreciate Miller’s unique approach to the Batman. The vast majority of comic books are so politically correct and are scared of offending anyone that they have basically become totally neutered. Not Miller. His stories are a concoction of booze, cigarettes, sex and testosterone. Miller delivers his stories with a pissed off middle finger showing no fear of alienating himself from the rest of the hive minded PC community of comic book writers. I always appreciate the rebel and I can dig it when a Read more:Comic
Comic Book Review: Captain America #35 2008-03-03 10:15:23 The Revolution praises Brubaker’s CaptainAmerica

Comic Book Review: Legion of Super Heroes #39 2008-03-01 17:43:53 The Revolution has thoroughly enjoyed Shooter and Manapul’s first two issues on the Legion
of Super
Heroes. It is great to see this title shaping back into form after being such a lackluster read for so many years. I haven’t been this excited about reading the Legion of Super Heroes since DC wised up and wiped out the DnA Legion and allowed Waid and Kitson to start fresh and try and establish a Legion more loyal to the true essence and roots of what makes the Legion of Super Heroes so unique. Unfortunately, Waid’s threeboot, though solid, simply lacked that something special that Shooter has managed to bring to this title. The Revolution's Second Anniversary 2008-02-29 09:20:17 February marks the second anniversary of The Revolution. I cannot believe it has already been two years! I never thought that I would be doing this blog for longer than maybe six months or so. This blog started off as just an outlet for me to blow off some steam about comic books, discuss comic books with fellow fans and to try and encourage people to try reading titles that they never thought about reading before. And what has been the most rewarding part of doing The Revolution is whenever anyone posts that they tried a certain title because of my reviews and that they now read the title regularly. That is awesome. Spreading the joy of comic books is wonderful. In the first year, The Revolution had around 50,000 visitors. I was stunned and amazed. Comic Book Review: Hulk #2 2008-02-26 08:49:39 Marvel unveiled another Hulk comic book with the debut of Hulk #1. The little twist about this title is that it deals with an all new red Hulk. The creative team consists of Jeph Loeb and Ed McGuinness. Now, I’m not a big Hulk fan. I haven’t really read the Incredible Hulk since I was probably about 11 or 12. And I was totally unimpressed with World War Hulk. So, the question is why in the world would I give this new Hulk a try? Well, the main reason is because I love Ed McGuinness’ artwork. And I think he is perfectly suited to draw a character like the Hulk. And a minor reason is that I’m just a bit curious to learn more about this red Hulk. Now, Jeph Loeb has really been striking out left and right since arriving at Marvel. His run on Wolverine was completely unreadable. And his Read more:Comic
Comic Book Review: Ultimates 3 #3 2008-02-25 11:29:51 The Revolution has not been all that impressed with Loeb’s take on the Ultimates. Comic Book Review: Batman and the Outsiders #4 2008-02-23 10:07:41 Batman and the Outsiders has been a solid title. Comic Book Review: Ghost Rider #20 2008-02-15 15:27:26 Finally, Daniel Way has left GhostRider

He is the writer over on Wolverine, and while Aaron has never blown me away, he certainly has never disappointed like Way has. So, this is at least a step in the right direction.Unfortunately, mi hermanos Mark Texeira and Javier Saltares are off Ghost Rider as well.
