Disney Concert Hall Engagement Photography 2008-03-29 12:38:00 Good morning,Sorry Jennifer and Jack - I am slow to post on my blog :) In any event, Doug and I had the pleasure of working with Jennifer and Jack on their engagement photography session last weekend. We started at Old Town Pasadena, but quickly moved to another location because the security claimed that we could not take pictures there, which I found extremely odd because I always photograph there under a few "conditions" - (photographers take notes)1. This is not for commercial purposes 2. It is for my personal portfolio3. No tripodAs long as you make these claims, you may photograph almost anywhere [without permit]. Another example would be yesterday's wedding. The couple wanted to take pictures at a park and I was approached by a park ranger about the same situation. The aforemen Read more: Disney

UCI University Club Wedding Photography 2008-04-02 01:44:00 Hello,On Friday, I photographed a stellar wedding hosted at the UCI University
Club in Irvine, California. I was the second shooter for Steve Hoffmann. As much as I would have loved to photograph the preparation of the beautiful bride (Tam) and bridesmaids, I had the opportunity to work with Paul and his awesome rock star groomsmen! This is Paul with his awesome hair straightener, "I don't feel so bad using this because I know someone (Jacob) downstairs is using one too haha!"Since the men looked so dapper in their snazzy tuxes, I decided to do some grungy-manly pictures with them. So perfect! Five doors for five men.My original idea was tainted by a curious hand (following image)The lush green ceremony was complemented with the golden sunset. UCLA Engagement Photography 2008-04-02 01:25:00 Howdy,Doug and I had the chance to work with a neat couple with fresh perspectives of what they wanted for their engagement photographs. Since Liang (the snazzy groom-to-be) graduated from UCLA and Dee (the sassy bride-to-be) is doing her PhD at UCLA, they decided to conduct their engagement session at UCLA and Santa Monica Pier. Since I graduated from North Campus, Dee and Liang showed me a lot of cool places in South Campus that I never knew! One example would be the rooftop of Boelter Hall! Anyway, enjoy the images!"I have always wanted to sit on the bear..." chided Liang, so I clasped my hands together to give Liang a boost up the bear! This is one of my favorite images. It has a very nostalgic feel to the image because of the lined desks in the classroom. I especially love the li Read more: Engagement
KaBOOM Santa Ana 2008-04-02 00:52:00 Greetings,What a busy weekend! On Saturday, KaBOOM! gave me another opportunity to photograph the launching of their Santa
Ana playground. The first playground for Southern California was in Los Angeles where I met Xzibit! Nevertheless, the Santa Ana playground was just as fun!I love these charity events because there are so many people gathered for a single cause. Again, the goal of these playgrounds is to invite kids to play and learn about friendship. Aside from physical development (through motor skills), kids get to learn about sportsmanship and make new friends! They used 20,000 pounds of wood chips and 20,000 pounds of cement - wow!Team HEART!The senator of California! For those who did not know, it was Caesar Chavez Day! The grandson of Chavez was there too to help!Overall, it
