Out On The Town 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Whether you are going to a party, a club or just out to dinner with friends you can always look great for less. This See By Chloe Kaftan, $80 from Yoox is a great find. It's an excellent choice for us curvy girls but will even look great on those that are thin. You could pair it with a khaki shirt or some jeans and throw in a great silver clutch or pumps.Photo Credit: Yoox.com
A Wedding Gown Don't 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Will someone please explain to me the appeal of the wedding gown pictured to the left? Every time I look at wedding websites or magazines I always see some girl in a flattering dress from the waist up, but anything below looks completely like a mess! I don't-- and will not-- ever understand what motivates a girl to go out and buy a dress that looks crumpled up and not put together right! I just want to pull on the bottom part to make it straight!!! When you look at your wedding pictures 20 years down the road those pictures are going to showcase a dress that will be the equivalent of a big puff sleeve 80's dress that we all laugh at today. So ladies, I insist that you pick a style that will be timeless (i.e. something that doesn't look like this), or else I am going to send the Fashion Police to come hunt you down.P.S. If you have already worn a dress similar to this, I'm sorry--no seriously, I feel really bad for you. If you had planned on wearing this, seriously reconsider i Read more:Wedding Gown

Shoe Of The Moment 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I did a little shopping over the weekend! I got these Delicious Wow Pumps for $30 at Shoe
Carnival, but I just found them online for $14.99 at Cutesy Shoes! I'm kinda bummed that they were cheaper online, but oh well! I have been wanting a pair of nude shoes forever (they are lighter colored than this in person), so I am happy to have finally found my perfect pair. I was instantly attracted to the platform design of the shoe as well as the round toe. I have to admit that I wasn't so fond of the ankle strap at first, but I think they add a little extra zing to the shoe, plus I can take it off if I want to.Photo Credit: Cutesy Shoes

Real Or Fake? 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Pictured above at the top is the new Fendi B. Square Sunglasses, $275. These are modeled after the namesake Fendi B. Bag--note the signature buckle on the sides of the glasses. So, you don't feel like shelling out almost $300 on a pair of sunglasses? Then try this inspired version from Shop Suey Boutique (bottom picture), $14. I have ordered from Shop Suey Boutique before and have been very pleased with their products (I own an inspired Spy Bag and a pair of sunglasses). If you spend over $40 use code US87 while checking out and you get a free pair of sunglasses of your choice! There is a flat rate of $7 for any amount of purchase.Photo Credit: Eluxury, Shop Suey Boutique

Splurge or Steal 1970-01-01 00:59:59 While browsing Neiman Marcus, I came across these Tory Burch Reva Patent Ballet Slippers, $195. I love the gold Tory Burch logo on the toe, it really makes the shoe stand out when compared to other ballet flats. Then, as I was checking out Steve Madden, I noticed a very similar shoe--The Dagny, for about half the price, $79.95. The similarities between the two shoes is uncanny. So my question is, Splurge or Steal
? I would vote for the splurge if I had the money!. Photo Credit: Neiman Marcus, Steve Madden
I Should Have Bought It... 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I had a gift certificate to The Limited leftover from Christmas that I used up a couple of weeks ago. I got some pretty sweet stuff, but the one thing that I was drooling over I chose not to get because it was $98. Imagine my dismay when I opened up my People Magazine Style Watch and saw a two page layout dedicated to the cropped jacket from The Limited that I did not get! I'm not stressing out too much because I just found an almost identical version from Urban Outfitters. This Me & You Cropped Herringbone Bolero is priced a lot better since it was $58 but is now $34.99! Imagine the possibilities with this jacket: wear it with a black dress, jeans, a skirt...anything goes!Photo Credit: Urban Outfitters
Every Girl Should Own A Pair... 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Every girl should own a pair of pearl earrings! It is an essential and classic accessory that matches anything! I wear mine pretty much all the time: to work and even when I am lounging around. You can get the real thing or a fake, but you need to own at least one pair. The way to tell if the pearl is real is if when you scratch it with your tooth it feels a little grainy. When you are shopping for real pearls you will encounter two different kinds: Freshwater and Saltwater. They both are great quality pearls but the best Cultured pearls come from saltwater, which is regarded as the highest standard for comparison because the Japanese began farming them this way. That is also why you will notice such a big price difference between Cultured Saltwater and Freshwater pearls. Here are a few good picks:Akoya Cultured Pearl Earrings (7.0-7.4mm), $185 from Blue NileCultured Freshwater Button Pearl Earrings 9mm, $75 from ICE.com14K 8mm - 8.5mm Akoya Pearl & Diamond Gift Set, $129.99 from Read more:Every Girl

Splurge or Steal 1970-01-01 00:59:59 The idea of colored jeans used to make me want to hurl--plus it reminded me of the 80's. However, now that they are back in style (although probably for a very short time) I figured I would do a post about them. I love the Denim Of Virture Patience Red Wash Skinny Jeans that Christina Aguilera is sporting, although they are a splurge at $170 from Shop Intuition. Don't fret though, you can get a similar look with the Piper Colored Denim Jeans (pictured below Christina) from Alloy for only $39.50!Photo Credit: Shop Intuition, Alloy

The Wide Leg Jean 1970-01-01 00:59:59 One of the trends coming into Spring/Summer is the wide leg jean. You don't have to go too wide to get this look right; it's just a more relaxed look than the skinny jean that has been so popular lately. Here are a few of the best picks:70's Flare Jeans, $75.08 from ASOSThe Easy Jean, $29.50 from Victoria's SecretLight Wash Trouser Jean, $88 from Banana RepublicPhoto Credit: ASOS, Victoria's Secret, Banana Republic
Perfect Under Anything 1970-01-01 00:59:59 Look for versatility with clothing that you buy. This Satin Camisole, $24.99 from Rampage, is a perfect example. Wear it underneath a blazer for work, or by itself with jeans!Photo Credit: Rampage

Classic Elegance 1970-01-01 00:59:59 If I had to pinpoint my style it would lean more towards Classic
. I have always been taught that if you stick to classic looking pieces, you will never have to worry about your clothes being "in" or "out". I have a lot of pieces in my wardrobe that I have had for years! My rule of thumb in making an important fashion decision is whether or not I could see myself wearing this in a year or so. When I spend the big bucks on things that is the only thing I keep in mind. It really helps to rule out frivolous purchases. With that said, I am really loving this Wool Capelet, was $168 now $79.99 from Banana Republic. I can picture tons of different looks I could get with this outfit (over a black dress, with a skirt and some tall boots, etc.) which is clue number one that my money will be well spent on it. The second thing I got from this is that it reminds me of the 50's and 60's, which means that this is an updated classic. Now I want to buy it!Photo Credit: Banana Republic

Diane VonFurstenberg: Splurge or Save? 1970-01-01 00:59:59 One of the hottest trends out right now is the tank dress with a banded bottom. Diane
VonFurstenberg takes the classic black dress (top) and updates it with this Tank Dress, $345. You can get a cheaper version with Forever 21' s Marissa Dress (bottom) for only $19.80! I would choose the cheaper dress because I am particularly fond of the halter neck!Photo Credit: Neiman Marcus, Forever 21

Makeup I Need To Try 1970-01-01 00:59:59 I hardly ever watch commercials anymore because of my DVR, but I just happened to catch this commercial for Almay's Smart Shade Foundation, $14. Evidently it is a colorless foundation that when you put it on it transforms to your exact skin tone to give you the perfect match! I have to admit, I really like the sound of this!
