What A Weekly Newsletter Can Do For You.
2007-01-27 09:37:30
Running you own free newsletter or e-zine can bring massive benefits to your website and profits. Did you know that newsletters are one of the most important components for you to drive traffic to your website and build your online business? The popularity of newsletters is based on the thirst for information by information-hungry Internet surfers. The main reason people are online is because they want and need information and that is exactly what newsletters provide. There are 3 major advantages of starting your own newsletter, no matter what product or service that you are offering. They are: - Being able to maintain regular contact - Being able to build a relationship with your subscribers - Being able to offer new products and services A newsletter allows you to keep the connection with your site visitors reminding them of how your product is suited for them. The other, often overlooked, advantage of having a newsletter, is the income it can generate, not from selling your products

How much is your blog worth in $$$, plus musings on domain name trading.
2007-01-25 10:28:58
Inspired by Tristan Louis’s research into the value of each link to Weblogs Inc, Dane Carlson created this little applet using Technorati’s API which computes and displays your blog’s worth using the same link to dollar ratio as the AOL-Weblogs Inc deal. For some grand, esoteric reasons, Internet Mastery Blog is worth $0 Domain Profiteer, emphasizes that expired domain s are where you want to invest your money, because of the targeted traffic that some of these used domains can attract. And in Internet Marketing, traffic means money, targeted traffic means a lot more money. Domain Profiteer includes a 1-month access to Domainer’s Edge which otherwise charges a monthly fee of $99. Domainer’s Edge is a very powerful software for domain investors. It provides a lot of information on a domain at a mouse-click. These information will help you to make good decision to buy and sell your domains. In time, you will have the dexterity to get rid of the useless names

Mark Joyner defines his own wellness niche.
2007-01-23 20:43:52
Mark Joyner’s Simpleology 101 is considered by many as the ‘bedrock’ foundation of their success in life. For example, Internet celebrity Tellman Knudson has every single one of his employees start their day with Simpleology. Many other wildly successful companies are catching on and doing the same… Simpleology 103 is the long-awaited follow-up to Simpleology 101. What’s it about? Well, it teaches you how to boost your energy to levels teenagers would be envious of. Without drugs. Without supplements. Without extreme diets. Just simple changes to your life that you’ll barely notice. Let us just say that you need to beat a path to this course in the name of wellness. Considering that Mark has changed so much from his famous black-and-white self-portrait (if you have seen his Extreme Business Makeover videos), he has moved on to defining his own wellness niche via Simpleology 103. That’s really amazing. “The principles found in Simpleology

IMToday.net - Internet Marketing newsfeed directory
2007-01-23 10:25:20
Jonathan Leger just setup IMToday.net where where you can read all of the latest Internet Marketing news from more than 1,100 IM newsfeeds and still counting. He has rounded up the first 1,100 sources of Internet Marketing feeds he has ever come across, and he is making it very easy for you to customize a compilation of feeds according to your selected keywords e.g. ‘adsense’, ‘market research’ etc. so you can input the customized RSS URL into your feedreader. I’m sure some of you are already thinking of leveraging on IMToday.net for auto-blogging…well, read this post first. So long as you can tidy up the feed display on your blog (if you are not careful, it can look like garbled mess) and you mean it as content filler on days you are not blogging—not for splogging (i.e. leave your blog alone)—you would do well to maintain readership with an active-looking blog. You can also submit your blog feed at IMToday.net now and leave comment on certain bl

How to add social bookmarks for every blog post.
2007-01-21 18:30:01
By now you should have observed a series of colourful social bookmarking buttons below each post. They allow your readers to easily submit you to many different social bookmarking and networking sites. Get your WP-Notable plugin for WordPress and installation instructions. The one thing that will stump all but the most hardcore of bloggers is what is meant by the “loop area” (installation instruction no. 5). Until now, me neither. All you need to do is: 1) open index.php, archive.php and single.php of your WP template with your HTML editor, 2) search for the word ‘postmetadata’. You should find only one occurance of this word in each file, 3) copy-and-paste the WP-Notable code just above the statement where ‘postmetadata’ appears, 4) save your 3 PHP files and upload them in your WP template directory. Refresh your blog and the icons must appear below every post now. For Blogger blogs…it’s a little tricky here. Google “add social boo

Permalinks Migration Plugin For WordPress
2007-01-21 18:26:52
Many people want to change their permalink structure, for example, from /%year%/%monthnum%/%day%/%postname%/ to /%category%/%postname%/ But doing so will make all pages indexed by search engines become invalid, thereby losing visitors from other sites or bookmarks that link to you. With this plugin, you can safely change your permalink structure without breaking the old links to your website, and even doesn't affect your search engine rankings.

Does auto-blogging still work sensibly at all today?
2007-01-19 09:54:43
Anyone familiar with a content generation software called Auto-Blog Builder? Google it and maybe you’ve seen its box e-cover before. We manage to find a page produced by ABB at work. The niche subject is supposed to be on dog care and training. Oh dear…as you can observe, that page contains insensible vocabs, irrelevant messages and worse, profanities. Yucks. Back to slogging through creating your own blog posts now…or is there hope to cling on yet? Well there is, a thin line of it. Now, if you are relying on some content generation software or methods that does not leave you with the option to choose the source from which the software or method can or cannot extract feeds of information from, you are simply relinquishing control over how it can work against your site and thereby hurt your site’s quality and integrity. Actually, Auto-Blog Builder searches for related feeds and has the option of using only specific RSS feeds. Part of the fault of untargeted infor

Google bans ads next to images! WHAAAAT??!!
2007-01-12 10:59:52
This is a bit of an old news from last month. In case you haven’t heard of it, Google Inc. has changed its mind on the practice of placing images next to ads. The AdSense team had actually started knocking on webmasters’ doors and courteously asking them to take down images. So far I haven’t heard of anyone getting penalized heavily for the crime, however, that day shall come…You know what to do now.

What does it mean to be W3C-compliant?
2007-01-11 11:21:20
I was just re-reading Joel Comm’s Monthly Templates for copywriting tips when I begin to have this funny feeling that some elements of his sales page are ‘bugging’ me, and I can’t tell exactly what they are. Guess what? Today, a mail from another marketer was trumpeting more loudly this one aspect of Monthly Templates. If you read through Monthly Templates, Joel emphasize that his templates are designed using W3C-compliant XHTML, whatever that means to you Las Vegas“.) Thus the principle is: the more obvious a “call to action” is, the simpler the site must be. It must simply scream, “DO THIS.” And when a site is made simply, I presume it cannot veer too far from W3C specifications. Look at Microsoft.com. Did you think it’s W3C-compliant or bloated with excess code? It’s a chicken-and-egg problem for the webmasters at Microsoft if they are pressed for time (so as a result, do not pay careful attention to making their site

Site Page Tracker
2007-01-10 19:53:03
How would you like to get the exact number of web pages and backlinks indexed in Google, Yahoo! and MSN? These key statistics have mostly been accessible in some highly priced complicated SEO software. Some free web-based and similar services do a similar job of reporting, but they don’t record a day-to-day comparison of the numbers so you can’t get a clear impression of general indexing performance. But Site Page Tracker is about the change all that! Site Page Tracker uses a PHP script to accomplish its magic. Server installation is a snap, and as you can see from the picture above, your stats are saved each time the software runs a cron job. You can even copy & paste into a spreadsheet to chart your data. It tracks article listing too! Site Page Tracker installs on your own domain and can track as many domains as desired from a single installation. Daily updates can be forwarded to you by email automatically. You’d be very surprised to find out why the search

A word from Gregg Hall.
2007-01-10 18:26:33
On January 8th, we mentioned a new coaching program by Gregg Hall and since then there are folks who asked good questions about how the coaching is carried out, the validity of its current pricing and so on. We quote Gregg at his words: “I just wanted to be sure you know that the personal coaching from me is just what it says. What I mean by that is that I am not involving any staff which is why I am able to offer it at a rate so much less than many others, but I also still have my other businesses to run and I have a family so please be patient on response times especially in the evening and on weekends. “A big part of our business relationship is going to be based on trust and mutual respect. I opened the coaching program to fulfill a need that I saw and truly want to help everyone who joins but please be realistic on time contraints and also make use of the immense resources I have given you in the member’s area. The subscription you are paying for is the hourly co

2007-01-28 06:20:06

Why newsletters are better done in HTML?
2007-01-30 11:10:57
Continuing from “What A Weekly Newsletter Can Do For You“… I do HTML newsletter but I don’t send in e-mail. I put it up as a web page and create a short message that prompts them to go there. Here’s a sample. Several reasons: 1) I keep my e-mail ‘clean’ with pure text so less likely get filtered out. 2) I keep as archive so subscribers can revisit for reference. 3) By redirecting them to your site, you also remind them of your site so they can navigate elsewhere for more resources. 4) As you build an archive, you also grow your site with more pages. It helps with search engine optimization to an extent. 5) You can add in interactive features on web page like a chatbox or the Google calendar for event or promo forecast. I would only send a direct e-mail only when I want my subscribers to take action on a single message, i.e. Attend the Big Seminar today, do this… An e-mail is supposed to be short and straight to the point like the way Ewen

The Internet is supposed to bring people together.
2007-01-31 07:12:42
Sometime after the buzz caused by “The Death Of Internet Marketing” report, Michael Cheney of AdSense Videos fame responded with a brilliant follow-up about his big-break story. You can download The Internet Marketing Country Club Report. There’s one statement I want to highlight on pg. 35: “Internet Marketing is about bringing people together .” Read that statement again. If anyone thinks doing a business is as dumb as being an armchair entrepreneur and blasting e-mails from the digital cave that is your bedroom, perhaps s/he is already the no. 1 customer to the headline, “Put me on an island with a laptop and I show you how to make $1,000 in 30 days!” Truth be told, I have a PDF file with that kind of headline. I almost got sold. Today if you ask me, I can’t remember what’s the content of that file now. Today 3 years on(line), we still interact with subscribers in e-mail conversations, rendering support and advice. Is communication

The other side of the "Gold Rush"…
2007-02-01 19:47:17
* SPOILERS * I had a discussion with a friend, “The One Who Look Intelligent”, and somehow we come to talk about The One Who Sell Templates and sort of laughing over why “so many people are rushing to buy templates”. (We are not pinpointing particularly anyone and you can replace the word ‘templates’ with any products.) Then the friend said something that jolted me for weeks. I quote him, “Remember the time during the Gold Rush , when everyone was rushing to pan for gold. They were not the ones who got rich. The real guys who made it rich are those who sold jeans and shovels.“

2007-02-02 11:18:57

After some research we found our top 3 MySpace-related products to help you squeeze more visitors and profits out of 45 million unique users! 1. Imagine what you can do with your new-found database: send them great content, educate them, send them a product review, show yourself as the ‘expert’… 2. In 3 months, Greg Morrison & Ralph Ruckman fine-tuned The MySpace Bank blueprint, making it possible for you to make eas

Dr. Mike and Tim Knox presents "Auction Traffic Mastery".
2007-02-05 15:11:28
It is only a few years ago that Tim Kox began his 7-figure online business by selling a simple, little, 27-page ebook on eBay. That’s right, he started his mega-profitable business with a single e-book he sold on eBay, and since that time he has made more money from it than he could count. Would you like to learn about a little-known way Tim uses to legally use eBay to funnel tons of traffic and prospective customers to his websites, eventually building an opt-in list over 65,000 strong? How did he do it? Dr. Mike Woo-Ming got Tim on the line last Friday to discuss how he build his million-dollar empire selling information products on eBay, and there were still not enough phone lines to go around for hundreds of people listening in to the call. Lines are dropped and people struggled to get engaged. Listen to the following replay but forgive the ‘ding’ sound (you’ll understand why it happened): In fact, Tim is finally ready to share every secret he knows about
