Troszkę Polskiego - A Little Bit of Polish
2008-01-09 12:17:00
Hi,Although if Polish is not as popular as Spanish, hehe, actually it's used only in one country, I think it could be nice and maybe even useful for you to learn some Polish love words and phrases. I suppose the most difficult about Polish is the pronunciation, so as the best would be to add an audio file :)I love you! = Kocham cię!Do you love me? = Kochasz mnie? (ch=like "h" in "hungry"; sz= sh)I'm in love = Jestem zakochany (said by a man), Jestem zakochana (said by a woman)You're beautiful! = Jesteś piękna! You're handsome! = Jesteś przystojny! (rz = "sh")I want you = Pragnę cię ("cię"=let's say "chien" without the real n )I need you. = Potrzebuję cię (rz = "sh")I miss you = Tęsknię za tobąDo you miss me? = Tęsknisz za mną?Will you marry me? = Wyjdziesz za mnie? (dzi= sim

Rebtel: Free International Calls
2007-12-31 10:57:00
Hi There! Today I will write about Rebtel, which is an important service that have helped us a lot to keep in touch and make our love story much more possible. This VoIP service allows us to make free international calls. We always recommend this service to all couples which for any reason have to be far away from each other and therefore, keep a distance relationship alive. Can you imagine how difficult is living 13000 km away from the woman you love? I will tell you. Just imagine you’re studying in the Law School and you get home at six o’clock. However, where your girlfriend lives is already midnight. How do you do to talk to her before that time? Remember you are a student so you can’t afford making international calls. It’s really complicated. One day Marta had to go with a

Mazury - Lakes, Forests, Nature...
2007-12-29 12:02:00
When I say the word "Mazury" in Poland there are two completely different groups of people's associations to this place. The first one would immediately think about boredom, lack of shopping centers, mosquitoes, discomfort. While the other group to which I belong to would imagine beautiful sunsets, sailing, being close to nature, living in tents. Do you think you'd like this place or not? Here are some pictures of Mazury but to really feel how is it there you have to go there :)And? Beautiful place, I know :)Bye-bye,Marta.

Keeping with our Love Story - Online Dating!
2007-12-27 14:44:00
Hi,After reading the beginning of our (strange? weird? crazy? sweet?) LOVE STORY you might wonder how are we keeping this relationship and our love alive while being so far away from one another. It is NOT easy, as you guess. We depend on the Internet connection most of all, credit on our cell phones, my parents and their attitude to our relationship, studies, time difference...I became an addict of my Sweetheart very quickly, even if I wouldn't have admitted it at once. We started chatting more and more. You can't imagine how many things are there to chat about! I was never bored, and neither was he (confirm it Marcos ;) ). Plus the variety of languages aahh "miodzio" (as i often say in Polish, which is not really correct but means "cool", "great", "sweet").We had (and still have) few wa

Not Being Original: About Christmas...
2007-12-25 13:29:00
Christmas, that's the word which most people have been saying for some time. What do you think about when I say Christmas? Shopping, presents, eating, Christmas tree, family? Be honest, do you usually that this is actually the birthday of Jesus Christ?I'm sorry if I'm not writing about Christmas as most people want to read about it. You know, all reindeers, Santas, gifts, shopping. Marcos and I are Christians (Catholics) and even if generally we're not against all those things connected with Christmas, it's not nice for us -as I suppose for every Christian- to see that Christmas has become less connected with Jesus and much more commercial.Christ simply doesn't fit for those who are selling. Yeah, they will definitely make more money with reindeers, Santas, angels, stars, bells. But let's

Online Dating - Safety Tips
2007-12-24 08:52:00
Hi Everyone!I would like to talk about safety while dating online.1. Personal Information. It's not necessary nor advisable to provide personal information such as your last name or your address. You should wait till you really know who are you dealing with.2. Too Many Mysteries. Confidentiality and discretion are always advisable, but if your partner feels uncomfortable with your curiosity, he or she might be hiding something.3. Picture. If someone denies you absolutely the possibility of exchanging his or her picture, even when doing so privately, he or she might be hiding something.4. There's No Rush. Asking you out from the second message or saying that he or she is in love with you, it should make you think about who are you really dealing with. Use always your common sense.5. Phone N

The First Seed of Love
2007-12-23 12:11:00
Have you ever put any seeds into the earth without knowing that you are putting them and some particular plant will grow? I guess you haven't. Well, me neither. However, when talking about the metaphorical sense, I have. Once, but it was more than enough. Now the plant called "Love" is so huge and has so big roots that it's impossible to pull it out.Actually, I didn't know that I was putting a seed into the earth while I was chatting with Marcos for the very first time. I must admit that I liked it, but it was nothing strange, nothing unusual for me. I had used Skype for chatting with foreigners before too, so for me Marcos was just one more Internet friend. Although it seemed to be so normal for me, it was amazing. We had been chatting for few hours and we could understand each other perf

Skype: We Love You!
2007-12-23 07:57:00
The reason of why we love this piece of software is really simple: we met through Skype ! But how did it happen?I've always loved to learn new things and foreign languages are one of those. In fact, I always buy books and tapes to learn foreign languages, waiting to have enough time when I could finally start learning from them :) One day I decided to learn some phrases in polish, just for fun, I mean to know something different that could be interesting. I went through the first lesson and then I was able to say "Dzień Dobry! Troszkę rozumiem po polsku, ale nie zbyt dobrze. Czy Pani rozumie po angielsku?" Which means something like "Good Day! I understand a little polish, but not very well. Do you understand english?" (addressed to a woman). Now I wanted to know if a polish native speaker
