Abundance Principle: welcoming money into your life 2007-01-28 02:37:00 I'm a hypocrite. I think charging a lot for the privilege of borrowing is predatory, but here, I've fallen for it. A friend called me regarding a neighbor who needed $80 to bail someone out. I balked and balked because I just got home, I am waiting for payday, and I didn't want to use my reserve line since getting people I know to repay me seems to be quite difficult. After they finally agreed to give me the $105 check from Qwest (phone company) for doing it, I reluctantly agreed. I try not to turn down money. But I'm a hypocrite because it amounts to predatory lending. Personally, I would have let the person sit in jail for three days till the check cleared. If they are in jail, they likely deserve it.
