Hide and seek 2008-05-20 16:53:00 It's shocking that Jack didn't sleep better last night after this. He hasn't slept through the night in about two weeks. Last night, he woke up four times, the last of which ended in me sleeping with him in the spare bedroom. Kyle had to sleep with him in there two nights before that. I don't know what's going on with him. Full moon, maybe? But that's not what this post is about.

The good news is that my insulin, thyroid and cholesterol levels all tested as "optimal" so I'm not facing any of the significant health risks. Just the annoying ones. 28 goldfish later . . . 2008-05-28 12:08:00 A week ago, we didn't have anything but this banner for Jack's party, so we pulled this all together quickly! I was worried that it was going to look like an afterthought, but it came together quite nicely, if I do say so myself. And, thanks to family who brought a lot of the food, it was really inexpensive! I'm pretty sure that this banner was the priciest thing I purchased!

Did you miss me? 2008-06-08 17:37:00 It's been a week since my last post, and I'm not really sure where to start. I haven't gone that long without writing since last year at this time when Jack was new in the world. The summer has hit like a ton of bricks and I'm already finding myself counting down the weeks until it's over. Is that bad? I think once camps actually begin, I'll be fine. Someone else's pictures 2008-06-11 21:00:00 Kristi worked at camp in the kitchen last summer and at the ranch two summers ago. She applied to be a counselor this year, but we convinced her to spend her summer as Jack's camp counselor instead. It's going SO well. Well rested 2008-06-14 19:03:00 I went to bed at eleven last night. I didn't get out of bed until almost nine. I don't know what prompted Jack to sleep so well, but I am so thankful for it. Our first overnight camp starts tomorrow and I was hoping to go into it well rested!

Smooth sailing 2008-06-15 20:40:00 Registration and the first night of camp went surprisingly well! Though, I felt like a part-time meteorologist for a good portion of the night as I kept running to and from my office looking at the radar and trying to determine what the best plan of action was for the rest of the night. bit ago, I sent an e-mail to the wrong person. The problem is that it was an e-mail about the person/company that I accidentally sent it to. During a low ropes course activity at camp yesterday, a camper inadvertently wacked her in the eye with their elbow. It's kind of hard to see in this picture. I really wish I would have taken a profile shot because it was so huge.
