Are Entertainers Role Models? Yes or No? 2007-12-21 10:05:11 Every time I turn around I hear another entertainer say they aren't a role model. They say that it's all on the parents and they should monitor what their children can or cannot listen too. Parents should monitor, but I feel like entertainers have a responsibility in what they release and feed to our youth. It's all about influence and if kids are getting bombarded with negative entertainment it definitely will have a negative effect somewhere in their life.-Jessie J.

Judging 2007-12-21 09:39:34 Hey Blasters!I was just reading Matthew Chapter 7. Something I hear all the time. Don't judge anyone, or don't judge me you don't know me. I think the second is a good saying, but the first I disagree with. After reading chapter 7, it seems you should not judge if you do not match up to your judgment of another person. In other words, if you have a problem with shopping and you try and tell another person they have a problem with shopping and need to stop. You are out of place, because you yourself have a problem with shopping. I am like many people who want the best for their family members. I want my baby brother to get charged about life. Find something he wants to do and go with it. I allowed my baby brother to come and stay with me, under the pretext he would get a job, get his car, and find him another place to live. It has been five months. All he has to show for his time is: no job, no driver license, no car, a small savings, he does not pick up after himself, nor takes care of the animals while I am gone. If you believe they should, should homosexuals be allowed to preach from the pulpit as well? When I was posed with this question from my boyfriend. I was a little taking off. At first I said I do think men who fall into sin and cheat on their wives, should still be able to preach; but to be gay and preach from the pulpit is not right. I myself was not sure why these two sins are so left and right. I then posed the question to my dad.
