Burning Radio
1970-01-01 00:59:59
After surviving a breast cancer, Aussie pop singer returns to the spotlight stonger than ever and continues her, then postponned Showgirl Tour, now renamed Showgirl - Homecoming Tour. She'll soon start the recording of her new album, which is expect to contain the song White Diamond, which was also performed on the tour. The song is also expected to be the album's first single although no confirmation was given. A studio version exists, altough the Showgirl Homecoming live album was released containing the live version of the song. No promo has leaked yet to the live album or the song itself. It was actually a good idea to release the song now as part of the live album to promote it, then the new album would carry on with a brand new song as first single. Anyway, while we wait for Kylie to surprise us (a duet with Nelly Furtado is rumoured), here's her live performance of White Diamond... Another Brick That I Laid
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Ok, so we all know this song already, but there's a reason why I'm posting it today. And that's because promotion for Nelly Furtado's fourth european single started this week. Say It Right started radio airplay a long time ago, but only now the video started to have some heavier roatation on music channels. Now, I'm not an expert on music channels, I only got four (MTV Portugal, VH1 Europe, MTV Germany and VIVA) but I guess that when a music channel starts to play a certain music video, it's because promotion has begun for it... Right? Nonetheless, the song is great so it also deserves a post of its own. And also, fourth US single was revealed, it'll be indeed european smash-hit All Good Things (Come To An End). I'm not sure if the song will work on the States as good as her previous singles did. I find it a bit too European, just like her previous albums (which did not had much success on the US), but I guess it's a matter of good promotion. Some months ago, Showtime was rumo

Now, we all know this from some time ago (the song leaked during mid-November), but I couldn't possibly let the original video get a premiere before I posted my own video of the song. So yes, this is another Da1000 Production. I was about to go to bed in the night of November 13th when I accidently found the MP3 for Timbaland's new track Give It To Me. And I was surprised to see that it featured Nelly Furtado and Justin Timberlake! As I heard the song, and seemed to like it, I though I had to put this on YouTube. And so I went on a quest to find a video by Nelly Furtado and another one by Timbaland. I searched for Promiscuous, but I couldn't find it anyway, and that was when I found the video of Ching Ching, a song by rapper Ms. Jade and featuring Miss Furtado and Timbaland himself! I already had Justin's My Love, so it should be no problem... I quickly used Windows Movie Maker, and the video was shortly made. Now, it doesn't look that great, I mean, I made it like in, 20 minutes

Diddy's new video was just premiered. Last Night features Keyshia Cole, and sounds really great. Unfortunatly, as his previous hits Come To Me and Tell Me, the female singer sounds a lot better than Diddy himself. I'm not really feeling Diddy's rap (or singing), but above all, it's a really good song. The video is all about Diddy and his ex-girlfriend, and it remembers me a lot of the I Don't Wanna Know video by Mario Winans... Keyshia also takes part of the video, she is seen singing throughout... Rumours say his next single will be Wanna Move, featuring Ciara and some other folks, and if it keeps this good, it should be amazing (especially cuz it's featuring Ciara, so...). Also, I learned this week that, although Sean Combs renamed himself from P. Diddy to Diddy, this only happened on the United States, because he had a fight with another European artist who names himself Diddy... So, it's Diddy in the US and P. Diddy on the UK... Anyway, check out the song, Keyshia does a hel

And a new week arrives, and so does a new issue of The Platinum Chart . This week we're joined by new efforts by My Chemical Romance, Mika and Fall Out Boy; also, beware of Jamelia, she's climbing inside the top 20 and so does Pink, but nobody knows... Take That and former Take That member, Robbie Williams get out of the top 10 while U2 get a window almost in the top 5. Nelly Furtado's reign finally came to an end (she spent 4 weeks at number one, more than her previous Maneater which spent 3 weeks at number one), and we're all being properly educated by Eric Prydz now... It's almost no moving this week on the Bubbling Under Chart, altough there is 3 new entries... We've known about their collaboration for ages, and the track was finally released some days ago, so this one was totally unexpected. The video for Walk This Way was leaked onto YouTube too some days after the song was leaked. The charity song supports Comic Relief and features the two top british girlbands facing eachother. Though not a real battle, the Girls Aloud and Sugababes girls make it seem so in the video. It's very remeniscent of the original video by Aerosmith and Run DMC, there's the breaking-the-wall scene, the sing-through-the-wall scene and even the I sing/You sing thing. In the end of the video the girls are on stage still battling, and some british celebrities make some cameo appearences on the catwalk. All ends fine, with a pourring rain of red noses. The song is set to be released March 12th and I'm think it'll be a straight number one... Reasons? The song kicks ass, it features Girls Aloud and Sugababes, and it's for charity (no MP3 today then...) ... Anyway..

If I Lay Here (Personal Update)
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Hello to you all... Today I decided to make a more personal post cuz there was something goin' on that I think you should be informed about. I'm not sure if you noticed already, but most of my videos, most of my productions, were deleted (or as they say, rejected) by YouTube for Copyright Infringement... Well, I'm not sure what was the real problem, because my videos weren't that appealing and I didn't used them to actually gain money. It was actually more about a promotion for those songs. Anyway, I wanted you to know that, this way, I won't upload any more videos on YouTube. I should be uploading a last one during the following week, but also that one might be Rejected by YouTube so, I don't really give a shit. I will find a new host to my videos. Moving on, today I had my driving test. The lady who evaluated my driving skills was actually really arsh and anything but friendly, but thank God, I passed my exam, so now I'm able to drive. In order of festivities, I decided

Bird Flu

The first video I saw by M.I.A. was Galang I think, and for months I was thinking M.I.A. was a group consisting of two girls. A bit like Nina Sky. Couldn't be more wrong. Rapper and singer Mathangi "Maya" Arulpragasam hit it big with her second album Arular released back in 2005 with a lot of grime, hip-hop, ragga, dancehall, electro, reggaeton and baile funk in it. Then I heard a lot of her music through remixes and mash-ups (including the official Richard X Remix of Ciara's Goodies) and I can tell M.I.A. is one of the best artists out there. Quality is probably what better defines her. And now in 2007 she's set to release a new album intitled Power Power, with first single Bird Flu. The video was released some days ago, and it looks really good with a lot of birds (well, chicken actually) in it :D Enjoy!M.I.A. - Bird FluBuy ArulariTunes

After hit singles Smile and LDN, new British sensation Lily Allen releases a fourth music video. The track will be released on the UK as an A-Side with Shame For You on March 5th resulting in a fourth single from her Alright, Still album. While she's starting promotion in the United States (first single Smile was already released, and she recently performed on SNL), the UK is given not one but two songs. Good thinking. Alfie is about her younger brother Alfie Owen-Allen who refused to participate on the video for the track. Instead there's a puppet playing Alfie and he's shown doing many unpleasant things such as smoking cannabis or masturbating to naked Barbies pictures. The track is quite good, not an anthem like previous Smile or LDN, but still quite good, and the video is, like any other Lily Allen video, a piece of art. British teen soul sensation Joss Stone is also releasing new material in the beginning of 2007. The now new red-head 19 year-old has collaborated with such artists like Common or even Lauryn Hill to produce tracks for her most personal album so far. Introducing Joss Stone is set to release March 12th with first single being released one week earlier. Tell Me 'Bout It is an R'n'B/Soul track with a bit of funk in it. It's a great track as you would expect from miss Stone. The video is similar to Alicia Keys' Unbreakable with Joss Stone partying in the neighborhood. A bit of trivia now, Joss' birth name is actually Joscelyn Eve Stoker, I guess Joss Stone works better after all... Follow up video to Fergalicious has been released. Glamorous features Ludacris and is set to reach the top of the charts. Now we all know Fergie is better off with the Black Eyed Peas, but she's not that bad by herself. Third single from The Dutchess proves it. The track screams glamour all over... Well... maybe because its instrumental was meant to Gwen Stefani's Luxurious. Pollow Da Don offered it to Gwen, but she turned it down thinking it was too slow. The rap part by Ludacris was recorded when he released this instrumental on one of his mixtapes calling it his remix for Gwen's Luxurious. Later when Fergie was working with Pollow on her solo album, he offered her the track. She took it calling it Glamorous, having now a similarity with Gwen's Luxurious on the lyrics. The track is really good, and it's a good third single. The video follows the song, Fergie reminisces her years before fame while she's "living the life" on her private airplane. There's also a 1920s inspired

And it's time for another great track from the past. Today we go back to late 2005 to remember British ex-Blue member Lee Ryan in his own video with cars and horses. Turn Your Car Around was the second single from his debut solo album and was credited to be another hit, like first single Army Of Lovers was, due to heavy promotion for the track. The track didn't match its expectations and peaked only at number 12 on the UK Charts. Still, it went to number 2 on Italy. Now, the track itself is great, probably one of the best I ever heard, and like any other great track, it wasn't that successful. Turn Your Car Around was, like they say, a moderate hit across Europe (a bit more successful on southern Europe). The video is also very good, though very simple. First we see Lee driving his car through the desert, then he has a flat tyre and founds a black wild horse, which he accomplishes to befriend in the end of the video. Purely great, here's Lee Ryan's Turn Your Car Around (no MP3 or

Akon's new video for his third effort from second album Konvicted has just been premiered through MTV's TRL. In this one, Akon doesn't smack that nor wants to fuck love you. Instead he takes a ride (through Africa?) with his girl, singin'(...)it don't matter noCause I got you babevery happily. The girl is credited in the video for singing the Cause I got you babe line throughout the song. I'm almost positive it is some sample like Mr. Lonely was... Anyway, I'm not much a fan of Mr. Aliaune Damala Bouga Time Puru Nacka Lu Lu Lu Badara Akon Thiam (yes, that's his full real name), I think he's way too overrated, I don't feel his hits Lonely, Smack That or I Wanna Love You have the quality they are believed to have. Now, this new single is a better thing from him, although after hearing it for the third time you get really tired of his voice... And quite frankly, I don't think the "jungle remix" in the end of the video helps... Bonanza is so last year...Akon - Don't MatterMP3 D

What can possibly put a Japanese Elvis, four bicycles, balloons, kimonos, a big cartoon costume and a big mustache together? It's the brand new video by The Killers! Set in Tokyo (i guess, it's very similar to Madonna's Jump... But without all the jumping...), the video features the band getting adventurous through the unknown city. They play with some children, ride some bicycles through the city, they just have fun! And above all, that's what makes it a good video... So much better than previous Bones, Read My Mind is set to put The Killers back where they belong : on the top of the charts! When You Were Young was a great track and the sales proved it, Bones wasn't that great but had a 5 star video to help, although it didn't help, so it's time for Read My Mind to save the day... And this is another proof that Hilary Duff is now fully grown. Leaving the Disney/Bubble-Gum-Pop/Rock sound behind, Miss Duff gives us a Pop/Dance styled album. Dignity is set to release in April, but we already know two singles and a perfume. Play With Fire was the first single that never was a single (only the video was released), but we could see the new Hilary coming with it. She was even named the American Kylie Minogue for her new influences. Now with second single (or is it the official first single?) With Love she establishes her new sound. A bit similar to Lindsay's Rumors (must say), the track is great and perfect for the (American) clubs (across the European clubs a techno remix will work). The video for the track is exactly like the advertisement for her perfume of the same name, although longer. It's all a chase scene, Hilary has some disguises and manages to lead her follower to an elevator, the elevator eventually has a malfunction and it all leads to a To Be Continued

Another week just passed by, which means time for a new chart. This week we're joined by new efforts by Keane and Beyoncé, and a very special song by British artist Amy Winehouse. Also, Madonna jumps out of the top 20 while Fall Out Boy race up the chart just like brand new artist Mika. Beyoncé is replaceable after all in the top 5 while Gwen Stefani winds it up and Eric Prydz keeps on educating everybody. On the Bubbling Under Chart Cascada touches the top spot for the third week in a row, JoJo says it's not too late to get back on the top and The Pussycat Dolls get a spot on the chart alongside U2 & Green Day and yet again, the Scissor Sisters... Scissor Sisters - "She's My Man"
1970-01-01 00:59:59
They didn't felt like dancing and then took us to a land of a thousand words... Now it's time for us to meet their man... who is actually a woman... She's My Man is the third single from their second album, Ta-Dah, and the video has just premiered. Like any other Scissor Sisters video, is pretty imaginative, and it uses the Kuroko technique, where the band members act out a scene round a dining table against a black background. Stagehands (dressed completely in black, and effectively invisible) move props, furniture and bits of costume to surreal effect. And it looks amazing! The song is also pretty catchy, and I consider it a follow up to 2006's hit single I Don't Feel Like Dancing (probably because Land of a Thosand Words was quite a flop)... Justin Timberlake - "What Goes Around ...Comes Around"
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Michael Jackson gave us Thriller, Justin Timberlake brings back the format and gives us What Goes Around ...Comes Around, a music video which is also a short film. Justin's short film for promotion for his third single is actually his first video to have explicit language, and has (obviously) two versions : the first being the short film version (credited as Director's Cut) which has been released over iTunes and leaked onto YouTube, and the second which is a shortned version of the Director's Cut version for television channels. Rumor has it, that a third 30 minute version of the video will also be released. The video's dialogue was written by Alpha Dog's writer and director Nick Cassavetes and directed by Samuel Bayer. It stars Justin, Scarlett Johansson and Alpha Dog co-star Shawn Hatosy. The video begins with Justin hooking up with Scarlett, which leads to a very intense relationship between the two of them. Later, Hatosy (who is Justin's best friend in the video) falls for S

Da1000 - "Living On Buttons" (The Pussycat Dolls vs. Pakito)
1970-01-01 00:59:59
After premiering the first taste of my mash-up album two months ago, it's time to present you the official first single from Future Sound Booster. The album features popular dance tracks, mashed-up with the acapella versions of today's most popular hits. For the first single I've used french DJ Pakito 's hit single Living On Video and mashed it with The Pussycat Dolls ' fourth single from their debut album PCD, Buttons . Culminating on a 3:20 minutes wonder bootleg, Living On Buttons was actually one of the easier to produce. Nevertheless, it's the one that is more catchy and addictive. The video was also very fun to make, altough it turned out a bit Low Quality-ish in the end, mainly because of one of the programs I use to make videos (Honestech that is) and YouTube's uploading system (which is not that good by the way). Since Viacom International has been removing some of my videos from my YouTube account, I added a disclaimer on the video. The video is for promo use only, period

Grammys 2007 : Winners and Performers
1970-01-01 00:59:59
As promised, it's time to reveal the 2007 Grammy Awards winners. Now, if you ask me, this year's awards weren't as much as entertaining as the previous years. C'mon, where was that Madonna vs. Gorillaz feeling... or 2005's great mash-up performance by Gwen Stefani, the Black Eyed Peas, Franz Ferdinand, Los Lonely Boys, and Maroon 5? All I'm saying is that this year's Grammys were boring. Yes, boring. I only got a bit cheered up when Nelly Furtado, Natasha Bedingfield and Nicole Scherzinger came on stage or David Spade comparing himself and Rihanna with David Bowie and wife Iman. Of course Beyoncé's and Christina Aguilera's performances were quite great, even Robyn Troup did an amazing job with Justin, but that was all. It all got so predictable with the Dixie Chicks winning every single award. I was rooting for James Blunt or Corrine Bailey Rae to win the Best New Artist award, but after all that country wining, I knew Carrie Underwood would win... And so she did. Anyway, hop

Jibbs Ft. Melody Thornton (of The Pussycat Dolls)- "Go Too Far"
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Pussycat Doll Melody Thornton is following fellow Nicole Scherzinger's paw prints into the solo career business. Nicole has been collaborating with several artists like Shaggy, Will Smith, Avant or Diddy, and now Melody teamed up with rapper Jibbs for his third single Go Too Far. The track is an hip hop update of Janet Jackson's Let's Wait a While (the chorus is sampled on Jibbs' version), and it's a rather good hip hop track if you ask me. Melody does a nice job and actually sings in a low key (there's no trace of her powerful back-ups on The Pussycat Dolls ' repertoire). Melody is also releasing a solo album, just like Nicole. The Beginning is set to release around the same time as Nicole's solo album, and it's produced by Darkchild, Timbaland, Will.i.am and Pharrell Williams. Her first single is rumoured to be True Love Lasts and will feature Pharrell. Mandy Moore - "In My Pocket"
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Back in 2001, when pop was in it's peak and acts like Britney Spears, N'Sync and Jessica Simpson were selling records after records, Mandy Moore released her third album and single In My Pocket was premiered on TRL if I recall. Although she changed her style from bubblegum pop to a more risqué style to keep up with the competition, the track completely flopped peaking only at number 140 on the US (although it reached number 11 in Australia). I remember it had heavy rotation on MTV Europe, but still, it didn't sold much. I personally consider this song one of Pop's finest moments although it is still underrated. Second single Crush was a moderate hit on radios, and was a favourite on MTV's TRL. Mandy pushed her music career to a second plan focusing on her acting. She will know release a new album after a 4 year absence, pursuing a more rock/indie sound which we can compare with Michelle Branch or Liz Phair.Mandy Moore - In My PocketBuy In My PocketiTunesLyrics

Jamelia - "No More"
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Jamelia's video for the follow up to the powerful Beware Of The Dog single has just been released. No More is the third single from Walk With Me, and just like the previous second single, heavily samples a hit from the past. Golden Brown by The Stranglers is now the sampled track and if No More follows Beware Of The Dog's footsteps, it should cause more controversy around Jamelia and her songwriting skills. If you recall as I do, Jamelia was very criticized to use a sample of Depeche Mode's Personal Jesus. Although the track is a masterpiece (at least, I think so), it was only a moderate hit scoring a number 10 on the UK Charts. No More is as good as Beware Of The Dog, and I hope it'll peak a bit higher on the charts so Jamelia have another top 5 hit (just because she deserves it). It will be released after Girls Aloud vs. Sugababes' Walk This Way, and in the same week as Fergie's Glamorous and Hilary Duff's With Love, so I don't think it has a very strong competition. The vide

So, off to the charts...This week new releases by Lady Sovereign, Jessica Simpson and The Pussycat Dolls are new to the chart, the girls from All Saints drop steady, and so does Robbie Williams. DJ Nicky T perfectly mashed up Amerie 's biggest hit to date 1 Thing, with Faith Evans funky classic Love Like This. One of the funkiest mash-ups ever, 1 Like This (titled by me) could be a great hit if it was released if you ask me... Kelis - "Young, Fresh n' New"
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Back in 2001, Kelis released her second album Wanderland, which was produced by The Neptunes, like her debut Kaleidoscope was. If you remember Kaleidoscope you must remember the sassy "I hate you so much right now"... Now, do you remember 2001's Wanderland? Probably not. That's because it's Kelis' most unsuccessful album to date. It wasn't even released on the U.S. due to poor sales of first and only single Young, Fresh n' New. The track failed to chart on Northern American ground, but made its way to a British number 32. The album didn't spawned any more singles, probably because the first single flopped, but also because the label and Kelis herself disliked the album. Well, if you ask me why Young, Fresh n' New flopped, I'd say it was probably because of lack of promotion. They just didn't cared much about it. The track is one of Pop's greatest moments (at least I think so) and the video was quite fresh and innovative, and, read and underline this, it featured Heidi Klum!

Ciara - "Like a Boy" [Video Premiere]

Some time ago, a poll on Ciara 's MySpace page was asking her fans their opinion on which should be her next single. Like a Boy eventually won the poll and became Ciara's second US single of her second album Ciara : The Evolution. In the UK, Europe and Asia (most probably elsewhere, except Nothern America), the track will be the actual first single release from The Evolution. Awesomely 5 star piece of wonder music Promise should be following it as second single. Like a Boy is a bit similiar to Keshia Chanté's Been Gone, but, much more experimental, fresh, sophisticated and better. The video follows Promise on the use of amazing choreographies and sets, although this one comes in black and white.
