A poem 2007-12-11 08:53:24 Who am I?
I’m a mother,
I’m a wife
I’m a daughter
I’m a friend
I’m all these things but I am so much more.
I’m silly,I’m funny,
I’m extra cuddly and I’m loud.
I’m smiley, I’m musical,
I love to dance and sing.
I think too much about what people think of me,
I cry when I get mad.
I’ll sometimes lose my rag over silly things
and I know… I should know better.
I’d like to do so much with my life
but I don’t know where to start.
I’d love to write a book, draw a story, mould a life from what I’ve got.
There’s so much to me that not everyone sees,
sometimes I wish they’d spend the time to dig a little deeper.
Instead of passing me off as ‘just a mum’,
‘just a wife’, ‘just a daughter’ or ‘just a friend’…
notice that I am all those things and so much more.
Happy 2 months old Max! 2007-12-11 08:50:06 Wow I really can’t believe that he’s 2 months old already! Not only is he smiling lots he’s also started attempting to laugh… ok so it sounds more like a puppy yelping, but I’m sure it’s a laugh trying to come out - either that or he’s getting REALLY freaked out by the funny faces I keep pulling at him…
He had his first immunizations on thursday last week and was weighed and measured etc so the stats are now
weight - 11lb 12oz
length - 57cm
head circumference - 39cm
which means he’s put on 3lb 4oz since he was born, stretched 6cm, and his head has gotten 4cm larger. Just as well he came out when he did then!
His feeding’s still a bit of a mare, he *should* be having 5 6oz bottles of formula a day, apparently… he won’t take more than 5oz in a feed and that’s only if we’re really lucky, and he refuses to have more than about 3oz in his last feed around 11pm no matter when he last fed, whether awake Read more:Happy
Early hours again… 2007-12-10 05:41:28 4am: I have been kept awake by a 2 yr old trying out various laughs at 3am. I kid you not! Was just trying to settle Max back down to sleep (still trying *sigh*) I heard a loud “HA. HA. HAAAA&hellip
;” followed by silence. Did I just imagine that?? No? how do I know for sure? Because about 3 seconds later it’s followed by “hmmm, nope. don’t like that……. HE. HE. HEEEE…… YESSSSSS”and repeatfor about half an hour.
11am: He eventually went to sleep once I had gone in to tell him to, I think he may have an imaginary friend the way he was talking last night. Kept saying things like “I’m gonna tickle you”, “you need a drink too?” etc… either that or he is one smart cookie and was trying to sweet-talk me into doing things for him without actually sweet-talking me, if ya get what I mean!

4am again… 2007-12-08 22:41:01 So there I was making bottles up at 4am this morning *sigh. It’s times like these I really feel envious of the breast-feeders out there that’s for sure! Why is it that men seem totally incapable of doing anything chore-like unless they are prodded?? Of course it’s all my fault for not reminding him. Christmas is two weeks on tuesday - TWO WEEKS. Oh my god I am nowhere near ready. My First Meme 2007-12-04 17:30:00 10 Favourite Things to Complain About
This should be easy enough since at least half my posts have rantings in them of some sort!
1. Not getting enough sleep. *sigh*
2. J spending too much time on his pc when Zack is asking him to play.
3. Getting too hot.
4. Having to tidy up after J. Don’t mind after the kids, but why should I have to pick up after a grown man!?
5. People who are too eager.
6. 3 mobile phone company - NEVER get a phone from them, they suck!
7. Not enough time to do everything I want to.
8. J complaining that he’s tired and needs a nap while doing bugger all around the house, even though he’s had a full night’s sleep and a lie in.
9. The state of our finances… although this is slowly improving
10.The neighbourhood kids - nice enough but so loud and always playing right outside our door *sigh*.

Well I can safely say I didn’t think I was that into blogging… but apparently I’m wrong!
I got the link from this quiz from one of my favourite blogger’s sites - Sarcastic Mom. She’s always got something funny to say and her photographs are lush… I wish I had that sense of knowing what’s a good shot to take and what isn’t.
In fact, there are so many great blogs out there, I don’t really know if I am up to scratch with them all. Actually, I know I’m not. You see, I’m one of those people who aspires to do so much, but always falls a bit short.

Thirteen Things I need to do before Christmas
1. write and send out Christmas cards (why do I always leave this so late??)
2. Buy the boys presents and wrap them.
3. Buy parents presents, wrap and send them.
4. Put up the decorations around the house, tree up so far but more to go!
5. Decide on and buy Christmas meal.
6. Clean the oven (in preparation for the christmas cooking).
7. Clean the kitchen.
8. Clean the whole blimmin house!
9. Burn Christmas music to cd to listen to while I’m cooking said Christmas meal. (clutching at straws now, can ya tell?)
10. Get J new shoes.
11. Figure out how to get a table into our living room as the kitchen is too small to prepare a large meal AND eat in it.
12. Look out old Christmas movies to watch with Zack
13. Carry on blogging through it all, and maybe sort out the possibility of a self-hosted site… if i get the time ;)All this with two weeks to go… *sigh* why do I always leave things til the last minute?!
