It's an awesome bunch and I wouldn't mind if any of them wins! Hirsch is getting a lot of buzz in Sean Penn's Into the Wild (http://themovie-fanatic.com/intothewild.htm), while Sam Riley already got some accolades for his role in Control (http://themovie-fanatic.com/control_antoncorbijn.htm). One of the most awaited film (in my list, anyway and I guess in many film lovers) is The Kite Runner (http://themovie-fanatic.com/kite_runner.htm) and I absolutely looked forward to seeing the review at the NY Times. To my big disappointment, the reviewer Ms. Darghis failed to impress.

If you’ve got an idea for a story, you can pretty much go and shoot it. Whereas fifteen or twenty years ago people weren’t into looking at home video films.

The color red is the only element you'll find synonymous with Sweeney
Todd and its Christmas holiday release date. Red as in the color of blood that squirts impressionistically out from the necks of the helpless victims by ways of Sweeney himself. Adapted from the Broadway musical hit that Stephen Sondheim made famous, it’s only fitting that Tim Burton, the most creative director we have today, is combined with this dark, romantic, comedic and yet terrifying script. A soldier expresses his feelings and this quote emphasizes his comfort because he and two others have been walking clueless by themselves during WWII after being split up from their brigade.
