Simple instructions that we can follow please! 2008-03-17 12:59:00 Did you ever have problems with instructions or guides? Ever tried going through a phone book size manual but still have no ideas on how to do it. I hate it when I’m in that situation. Either it’s the manual poorly written or I’m too stupid to understand it. Remember James Bond movie in year 2002 – Die Another Day, where Bond shoot through the Aston Martin Manual using the car’s target seeking shotguns. Oh I wish I can borrow the car for manual destroying purposes. The same situation sometimes happens while I’m surfing too. There are some sites that actually have very poor instructions leaving you absolutely no idea what so ever. Some sites not just having poor instructions in written format, their picture instructions are terrible too. See for yourself…Cartoon by Dave Walke Read more:Simple

Or shall I say - what is the reason that makes you say that “It’s time to go shopping.” Basically there are 2 reasons that you’ll go to a shopping complex. The first obvious reason is that you need to buy something. You might need to get some food because the fridge is empty, buy some clothes because they’re getting thorn or old, buy some presents for birthdays or some tools to fix your house or car. Whatever it is, you have a purpose to go shopping. The second reason is that you already make it a habit to go shopping once a week. Some people even considered it a place to hang out with families. Live Webcams from around the world 2008-04-05 04:04:00 I post about a live webcam of a coffee shop in Hawaii previously. After that I found this site – Opentopia that has a collection of live webcam from around the world. Most of the webcams are showing traffic condition. That’s for the local people to check on the traffic so that they won’t get caught in the jam. There are also other interesting places that people around the world place the webcam. Places like dental, restaurant, meeting rooms, temple, office and many more. Check it out. P/S: If you have an interesting location around the place you stay, think about setting up a live webcam. You might attract a lot of viewers. Read more:Webcams
Coffee Nerds with live Web Cam 2008-04-04 01:27:00 This is something new and interesting. If you check out the site coffee nerds, you’ll find that there is a live web cam showing a coffee shop 24 hours a day. The web cam shows the counter of the shop and you can see customers lining up for a cup of coffee. Customers might not know that their face is online for the world but I think the employees realized about this. It’s not a bad thing but if I were to work there, I might feel a little bit uncomfortable. I need to be alert and behave as the world is watching me. Every good and bad about me will be exposed the minute I forgot about the web cam. Pretty much just like the movie Ed TV. Read more:Coffee
Learn how stuff works 2008-04-08 08:48:00 There is lots of stuff
that we don’t know even if we study for life. We don’t have to know everything. All we need to know is where to find the answer. For most people, searching the answer online might be the most common way. Here’s a site that answered most of the question in your mind – HowStuffWorks. It’s a site where most of your questions that starts with how, what and why can be answered here. It’s a very educated site. I have most of my questions and problems answered through this site. At the beginning, most of the information presented is in article format. As the online speed and volume increases, the site has included video format as a new way of answering questions. Either way, as long as information is being transferred successfully then it is fine with me.
Watch TV free online 2008-04-10 09:41:00 I posted about a site that links to a lot of free TV series, movies and shows last month. I never thought that I found another site that providing the same free stuff. In fact this site is better. Tv-Links has tons of free movies, shows, cartoons, anime and sports. I try it out by searching for my favorite TV series – Gray’s Anatomy and I found the whole new seasons 4. I’ve watch 1 episode and the display is just nice. The only thing that I don’t like is I need to wait for the site to completely load the episode. Depending on the speed of your internet service provider and the speed of the video server, you might need to wait for at least couple of hours before you can enjoy the series. The video quality might not be that good, but at least you get to watch your favorite shows. Read more:online

Get your coffee comic weekly 2008-04-15 12:18:00 Here’s a site where you can get a shot of espresso comic weekly - Coffee Comix. It’s a site that posts a new comic regarding coffee every Monday morning. You can sign up the newsletter and have the comics delivered to your email box. You can also request for html code to post the comics in your personal blog. That is if your blog or site is a “not for profit”. There is just one thing that I have to mention about this site. I’m not just having coffee on Monday but every weekday, sometimes even Saturday and Sunday if I have unfinished work to do. I think most of us are having this kind of work schedule. It would be better to have a shot of coffee comic at least for every weekday. That’s 5 comic per week. It may sound a lot of work but many people are having at l
Getting a Phone card or calling card 2008-04-17 08:12:00 When it comes to international call or long distance call, I tend to go for phone cards or calling cards. It’s not that I can’t make the call directly from my phone, just that it is better to use the cards. It might be a little bit troublesome to use the phone cards because you need to dial a lot of numbers before you can get through, but still there are couple of benefits that worth all the trouble. The first benefit is save money. The rates are much lower then calling it directly from your home phone. You can compare it by just checking the telephone book. The rates are listed there. If you’re using phone cards, you’re restricted to use the amount of money that you bought for the services for each cards. That helps to control the money you spend for making calls. Sometimes we jus
Using multiple screen at the same time 2008-04-18 12:31:00 I’m currently using a desktop and a laptop. I do most of my blogging and work with my desktop and when I’m on the road then laptop will be one that I’m using. Sometimes I use both of them at home. That makes 2 screen
s with different processor. I never thought of having 3 monitors with 1 processor before. Lately it seems to become popular as a lot of people say that it’s easier to work with more than 1 screen. Well, at least you don’t have to switch from 1 window to another for references. The only thing that I can think of having multiple screens is for gaming. Take a look at the next picture and you’ll know why.
Watch Videos on WonderHowTo 2008-04-22 08:50:00 Previously I post about howstuffworks. Right after that a friend of mine introduces me to this site –WonderHowTo. The site is pretty much the same as HowStuffWorks. The difference is that the site uses Videos to explain things. Currently there are 165 videos and most of them are related to food. The idea of using video to explain things is really a good idea. Unfortunately having only video as the only way to present the information faces a lot of competition. One big competitor will be Youtube. The same information or videos can be easily found in Youtube. Plus Youtube has larger collection of videos online and that makes it the first place people will visits. In order to compete, the site needs something better to stand out from the competition. The most common and effective way that I
Where in the world do missing emails go? 2008-04-26 09:27:00 The first thing that I do everyday right after having my breakfast is to check my email. This has become a routine work without thinking about it. The email that I received each day is about 20~50 and that does not includes spam email. That’s considering to be a lot for me. I even have friends that received more than hundred a day. Each day I send out at least 5 emails. I tried not to send out too many emails as I really considered that as pollution. As emails are free and easy to send out, a lot of people tried to make full use of it. That is how email spamming arises. It’s not a good thing as this causes a lot of junk email going though the network. Can you imagine the email that we send out with important issue or information is flooded together? It won’t be a surprise that some o

That will increase you blog exposure and more people will visit your blog. This blog is listed at No.1107 and that seems to be a good number. You can also wait for the list to reach your favorite number and add your blog. If you have a lot of blogs to add then I suggest you spread them out. That might work

If you’re looking for a programmer or web designer for your company, you can post for job vacancies through the site. It’s a free service and no charges for that. That’s the only good thing that I can find on the site. I think TechBeat has the potential to become one of Malaysia Top 100 site. At this moment the site is too empty and lots of work needs to be done on the site. The only attraction is the jobs listing. Only people looking for jobs or companies looking for programmer will be interested of stopping by. It would be better to hired couple of blogge
