Living the Dream 2008-02-20 06:05:21 Nothing like eating the fish you caught hours ago for lunch - I took some fillets and fried them up with coconut oil they were so tasty.Went fishing with Capt Jeff on Clifford and Eric's boat this morning. Getting bait was not an easy task because the water is murky but we managed to find some sardines by the mangroves and set off for some inshore trawling.Today Capt Jeff was coaching me on timing and how to reel fast after hooking the fish with a sharp upward motion.Capt Jeff quote of the day on making major decisions ... Ask yourself is th juice worth the squeeze? On a side note the other fishermen caught wahoo tuna and a big barracuda - Bill took Maya, Gail and Paul outside the reef with Dilzon. Sounded like an awesome time but with 7 foot waves I am so glad I went with Capt Jeff in the Read more:Living

About 18 of us are heading up to Robles Point (about 15 miles north) for some fishing snorkeling and beach bbq.Off to roadkill soon - I was not going to upload pics tonight but then Capt Jeff called and invited me fishing tomorrow morning with him and Steve.Trip with SEAduced was great - Sylvan and Jovani (hope I spelled those right) were great cooks and delight full hosts putting up with us lot. They even made a pit stop at Palapa bar on the way home so people could get more drinks having drunk the boat dry - we got to enjoy a few min with Tulu while we were waiting.

Thai Shrimp 2008-03-13 09:13:37 Went to Give reiki to Cherie (Cindy's mom) this evening - her back has been bothering her so Paul and I offered to give her a treatment. Luckily Zac is right downstairs and we were able to use his massage table. Cherie quite liked it and could not believe how hot our hands got - Molly wanted in on the action and tried to get on the table as well which made us all giggle. I gave Molly some reiki after and she was very relaxed to the point of going cross eyed. We all noticed a difference in Cheri as she was able to get up and down from her chair much easier.Afterwards Cindy cooked a nice meal of Thai curry shrimp on rice noodles - Alan and Zac came by and we all hung out and chatted.Incoming

Spotty Internet 2008-03-15 13:19:51 Our internet has been very spotty lately especially last night. I thought we were ok today and I was catching up on Mexico blogs (see my links section to find them) and writing rsvp email to the Latin American Bloggers Meeting when we started bouncing yet again.Just checked the tv and it is down too I cannot even watch what not to wear while waiting for the internet to go back up ha ha – left tv on mute to see if service comes back soon.Paul is using the time to get a couple of buckets of laundry on the go. I had been thinking about doing same this morning but that thought was short lived as I got distracted by my morning lap top and coffee time. Since I have a few blogs loaded before the net went down I will continue my reading.4:50 pm still bouncing like a ping-pong ball – this is ge Read more:Internet

Waves of Ideas 2008-03-17 16:33:22 I needed a pen and paper beside me today while I was listening to alpha break and Wayne Dyer Jappa meditations - the ideas came flooding in right from the get go. It was all I could do to stay still and keep focused on what I was listening to instead of jumping up and writing it all down. Now I know I really did need this time for focus and to have a break from having to go anywhere. Still trying to get rid of this all to persistent cough. In addition to beefing up my fruit and vitamin consumption I was able to give myself some of reiki today and take it easy. Was going to do some reading but an afternoon nap turned out to be the winner today. If anyone reading this is in or connected to printing or publishing? Please contact me via email address in my profile.

Unofficial word on the street 2008-03-20 09:37:08 Unofficial word is that they are going to ban liquor sales for 24 h for Good Friday. I can imagine this might ruffle a few peoples feathers - I do not remember the ban being as long last year if I remember right, people were able to sell at 6 pm..Dust has been a bit extreme lately. Our bathroom window does not have a proper fitting screen in it so we tend to just leave it out. The past few days it seems like I could wipe the sink down once or twice a day as it gets covered with fine grayish dust powder.I was reading Inspiration Sandwich, one of my Sark books yesterday and I came across an interesting piece about kids that I thought it was worth posting in the school blog - For anyone planning to make a visit to Ambergris Caye, if you time I encourage you to visit the school. Morning dream 2008-03-22 21:33:40 I woke up from a dream about moving into a new place. We were on the water and I went in for a bit. It was very clear and I could see small fish swimming around. I was helping Jo with her blog labels last night so that they are more functional and are doing what they are supposed to. That got me thinking that I really should add labels to the school blog as well to make it easier to for people to search and find information. I am officially sick of internet explorer it has had me cursing %$#@&* all morning. I use fire fox for my blog which is way better and I use explorer for the school blog but I think I am going to have to find a new browser for working on the school blog if this keeps up.

Arts and Crafts day 2008-03-22 10:11:25 Had a quiet day today doing arts and crafts. I was jazzing up our new prosperity box - a net friend from Japan told me to give it a try once so I did. We have had one going for over two years now and it has been interesting to watch things unfold as a result of what we put in our box.I noticed the full moon was coming up this week and I decided it was time to make a new box. After a talk Paul and I had the other night, I figured we were due for a bigger box and ready to let more in. I will keep you posted when things start to happen. If anyone wants the directions to make their own just email me at the address in my profile and I will send it to you.Watched the Good Friday Procession tonight. Happy Easter 2008-03-24 18:02:22 Paul and I went for an iced tea today at BC's, I still have not been able to shake being sick but thought that getting out for a while might do me good. We decided to walk to walk down the beach afterwards, it was packed - so many families were out enjoying a sunny Easter
Sunday at the beach. We were not planning to stay out long but taking pictures and fresh air was making me feel a bit better so I asked Paul if he wanted to walk a bit further and he said ok. We were heading past the Phoenix and Robert happened to be out on his deck people watching and flagged us down. That was it we were officially hijacked and our plans for a short walk down the beach ended up into a 6 hour outing. We had a great time hanging out and talked for hours. Robert and Rene ordered Pedro's pizza and invited us t Read more:Happy

Butt Shot 2008-03-26 17:58:05 Waiting in line for my second butt shot. If you can believe it after yesterday’s result’s I am actually looking forward to it no butterflies. Going to read my book Inspiration Sandwich for a bit. Here are a few bits from the book that caught my eye today…Pg 25 Learn to step lightly from one miracle to the next. Feeling rich is available to anyone at any time especially you!(I have not been feeling very rich lately. One of the reasons why hit me today because I have not been going for my usual walks and enjoying the island since I have been under the weather) Pg 49 Invite your fears in the tell them to sit down and shut up.(Nothing like getting sick on a foreign country to be able to bring up a few fears you did not realize you were carrying.) Los Pinos Clinic 2008-03-26 12:49:12 I am not afraid of needles but siting here knowing I am about to get one is still giving me a few butterflies.I was hoping this would be a quick visit to the doctor and could go back home and get on with my day, but when we got to Los Pinos there were people already a few people in line. We ran into Bonnie in the waiting room, she was just leaving. I told Paul he did not have to wait and I would just come home when I was done.I was reading Popular Science to take my mind off waiting and my impending needle and I saw something that was worth mentioning. It was in the in the 5 minute project section that one of the readers had sent in titled - "A musical stash for your cash"1. Remove the electronic noisemaker from your musical greeting card.2. Saturday 2008-03-29 19:41:44 On pg 60 of Transformation Soup, Sark says "If we can relax and be sick when we don't feel well, we are being present in our own actual experience." - easier said that done for an ADD girl.Travelqueen came to to the doctor with me this morning what a good friend she passed up perk with Paul to keep me company. After we got home I was feeling a bit better and we both decided we needed to go to perk ourselves for a frappe. Travelqueen went on to have lunch with Maya and Colette and I came home to relax and read my book. I got to pg 88 and read the words " Healing occurs under the covers. Let Sleep Heal you" So I took my cue, put my sleep mask on and had a nice nap.I like wearing a sleep mask when I am sleeping in the daytime - I find it makes it easier for me to fall asleep. It was in my ouchy side but I ended up with a pleasant surprise it did not hurt. Just goes to show that even though you think something will be a certain way based on your past experience, you just never know.11:45 just paying for my visit. I will be passing the airport at the same time Travelqueen is supposed to arrive. I did not catch her but happened to see Changes in Latitudes girls, they were there to meet incoming family.Since I have been forced to rest I have been watching a lot of tv. It got me to thinking about how what we watch can say something about us. 2 commercials I like… Converse - everybody is a star, lots pf people like the music. Like the slogan and comercia
Good news Bad news 2008-03-28 09:10:42 Even though it is not a far walk to the doctor, I was sure glad when Pedro and Charlie stopped to give me a ride. Pedro said there was a change in plans for tomorrow night the pasta cook off is going to be held off until next week and that British High Commissioner John Yapp is supposed to be there instead. When I got to the doctor the waiting room was empty and I got seen right away. Dr Teresa gave me my 3rd shot - good news it was in the side that does not hurt - bad news she wants me to come back again tomorrow for another one which means it is going to be ouchy. She said she is keeping a close eye on me to make sure this does not get worse. I got a different kind of cough medicine today and did the nebulizer again to help clear my bronchial tubes.Colette came by to bring me a big bag o

Sunday breakfast 2008-03-30 21:46:33 Thankfully Simon managed to get us a table at Estel's cause it was packed. Since Shannon had to catch the 11 am flight and Simon had to go to work they were not able to have breakfast as the food would not have been ready on time. They did however get to see Dick Carole and Denise and meet Rob, Michele and their 2 kids. Michele joined the message board recently (Michele in Playa) so I thought it would be fun for her to meet a couple of boarders, also I had not got a chance to see them yet as I have been confined to the house lately. As always the water was captivating - I went on SunBreeze dock to take pictures. I wished I was the one flying through the air it looked like so much fun. I came home and read quietly for a bit then I put my mp3 player on to listen to guided meditations so I could focus on my breathing and my health. Goodbye Cherie 2008-04-06 00:06:51 We were having our morning iced coffee’s when Paul realized it was already 8:30 and we needed to get our butts in gear so we could walk over to the airport and say our goodbye’s to Cherie (Cindy’s mom). After 10 weeks on San Pedro, she is headed back to U.K. Not long after we arrived, Sharon and Cesar turned up with Cheri’s bags and coolers in hand. Sharon and Cindy were heading to Belize City as well to see Cherie off and do a big shop. They could not all get on the same plane and caught one a few minutes later. While we were waiting, Alan and his brother Ian were riding by on their way to catch the water taxi to Caye Caulker and stopped to say hello. After we got home net was acting up so we went for coffee at Perk and chatted Coleen and Drummer Jim. Picked up a few gr Read more:Goodbye
