My Friends, the Dutch Sheep and the Dutch Bunny 2007-12-08 15:38:00 I can't get out of the house to take my own pictures, because I am a cat. So, my mom's cousin in Holland helped me out by sending me a few more pictures. One is a sheep and one is a bunny. They both live at the windmill also in Holland, and you can see part of the windmill in the picture behind the sheep. The sheep looks a big and scary to me, but I think I would like to snuggle in his fur too if he was nice to me, just like with the llamas! The bunny likes to sleep in the sunshine just like me!I wish I could go visit all the Dutch
animals in Holland ........or on second thought, I wish they could come and meet me at my house, since I don't like to travel much at all.......because I am a cat! Read more:Bunny

My Cousin Monte from Holland! 2007-12-06 18:43:00 This is my cousin Monte
. He lives with my mom's cousins in a windmill called"Molen de Slokop"in Spaarndam, Holland
. My mom has visited him a few times and he is a very crazy dog! He runs around wanting attention all the time, and always carries his tennis ball around hoping that someone will throw it for him. I like playing with tennis balls too, but mine are smaller, just for cats. I don't know how to fetch them and bring them back to mom like he does though.....I just like to run after them really, really fast!Wow, he likes playing with tennis balls, just like me, and he likes getting attention all the time, just like me too!! I like Monte!
My Friend Fifi from St Martin 2007-12-04 12:58:00 This is my friend Fifi from St. Martin
. Fifi lives on the French side of this Caribbean island near Orient Beach. Mom met her on the beach there and she did not seem to have a home. There were many homeless dogs running around the island, and mom was very sad for them all. Mom tried to feed Fifi some French fries, but even though she was homeless, she turned up her nose and did not want them! She must have wanted something more gourmet to eat! St Martin is known for it's great French restaurants, so maybe Fifi was used to better scraps than plain old French fries!!
Does this Ostrich Look Like a Pincushion or a Rubber Chicken?? 2007-12-02 18:09:00 Here are some more pictures from Aruba. They are of ostriches from an ostrich farm there. They are really big funny looking birds, and they live at this farm to educate people who come to visit. Mom said that the guide at the farm told her that the females get really jealous of each other. When one female has a male partner, she will pluck the feathers out of any other female that shows any interest in that male. The male will then start plucking the feathers out of the new female too, just to act like he was supporting his girlfriend! I think this is so silly! Sometimes I wonder about my animal friends! This does not sound like normal behavior! Read more:Chicken

Trauma at JB's House! 2007-11-30 20:47:00 Today was a very bad day! I think I knew something was up, but it was too late.....Mom grabbed me and put me in my cat carrier, and put me in the car. I started hyperventilating, crying, and shrieking really loud, and if you heard it, you would not have believed such loud sounds could come out of such a small Jelly Bean! We were off to the vet's office. At first I waited in my box in that little room, waiting for Dr. Staph. I was shaking so hard that my Mom took me out of the box and held me while we waited some more. Then a girl came in and told mom that she would weigh me and take my temperature.....yeah, I knew what that meant.....I'd get a cold thermometer up my butt.......not a good feeling, let me tell you! After I came back from that ordeal, I decided to hide my face as hard as I could in mom's arms, so maybe nobody could find me! But, it did not work. Dr. Staph came in and gave me my yearly exam, and checked all my parts to make sure I was healthy. He also gave me my rabies s Read more:House
Blue Lizard 2007-11-28 20:58:00 This is Daddy Len's favorite picture that he took when he and mom went to Aruba recently. This blue lizard is one of the oldest inhabitants of Aruba. It looks a little scary to me, but I heard it is not poisonous or mean or anything like that. It likes to eat flies, just like I do! Read more:Lizard

Police Horse in New Orleans 2007-11-24 13:44:00 In Orleans
.htm">New Orleans
, there are really big tall horses that the mounted police ride. They have to work, and help to make sure that people don't get too rowdy on Bourbon Street. I don't understand why so many of my horse friends all have to work so much. I am glad I am not a horse, because I would rather play than work! Read more:Horse

Llamas in the Country! 2007-11-21 13:06:00 Here are some pictures of some llamas. They live out where mom and Daddy Len go bike riding sort of out in the country. Mom said that they live in a pasture near tractors and trailers so they don't have a very nice home. I wish they could come and live with us! I would like to snuggle in their fluffy fur!I think they are very funny animals. Look at how big the brown llama's front bottom teeth are! I think they originally come from Peru in the Andes Mountains, and I think they like to spit a lot! Read more:Country

Adopted by my Mom's Friend 2007-11-17 09:21:00 I just had to post this picture, because these kitties are so cute and sweet! My mom's friend just adopted them. Their names are Noah and Sunny. I wish I could meet them, but mom makes me stay at home. I would rather stay home, since I get very scared when I have to go in my cat carrier, since that always means I have to go to see Dr. Staph, and I don't like that one bit! I would like some new friends to play with one day though............ Read more:Adopted
Little Yellow Birdie 2007-11-15 19:36:00 Mom took a TON of pictures in Aruba on her last trip, so I will mix them in, in between my other pictures. I REALLY liked this one. It was a little yellow birdie, and mom said they were all over the island. I wish I could have seen them. She said they were even flying around an outdoor pancake restaurant and they were sneaking sips of sweet syrup right off the tables! Someone on the island told mom they are nicknamed "sugar thieves"! Chinese Lion in Portland 2007-11-12 11:24:00 Daddy Len is a pilot, and he travels to a lot to different places. He came home from his last trip and said he saw a lion in Portland! I was SO excited to see the picture he took of the lion, but it turns out it was not a real lion. It was a stone lion at the entrance to China Town in Portland.......Daddy Len played a joke on me! He knows I only like real animals!! Read more:Chinese
The Biggest Moth Ever! 2007-11-07 15:10:00 Hi, it's me JB again.I really like this moth friend of mine and you can't even tell from the picture how big he really was! Mom found him taking a rest stuck to the outside of our garage, and she said he was at least 5 or 6 inches wide! I wish I could have played with THIS moth. I have only found small moths in the house, and only a couple, and I tried to eat them.
Dolphin Friends in Venezuela? 2007-11-04 18:33:00 These are my dolphin friends from Venezuela
. You might say, what? Dolphin
s in Venezuela?? Well, they live at a big swimming pool in Venezuela, and it is kind of sad, because they can never go swimming in the ocean where they really belong. Their job is to swim with people at this pool. Mom swam with them, but was sad for them too. I think they should be able to go home to the sea where they could be free. Read more:Friends
Taffy 2007-11-03 18:25:00 This if Taffy. She was my oldest big sister, but last year Mom had to put her to sleep. She was 15 and had bad arthritis, was VERY skinny, and probably had cancer. Mom tried to go to Dr. Staph many times with her to see if he could help her, but she was too sick. She was my favorite sister, and I miss her. Sometimes, I still go and sit in the towel basket over the tub, and can still sniff her.....because Mom left the towels there that she used to sit on. That was a sad time.
My Sisters 2007-11-02 20:10:00 I mentioned that I live with my Mom and Daddy Len, but I also live with my two sisters, Misty and PooPoo. They were adopted by my mom from a shelter in CA when we lived there. Misty is gray and very cool, and she was very sick last year and had a kidney removed! Mom had to nurse her back to health for over 3 months. She was so scared that she had to get a tube put into her stomach, so mom could tube feed her! She is well now, and I like her. PooPoo is calico, and not so friendly. She hisses a lot and scratches Mom sometimes. I think she might have mental problems! I like having them around so I am not lonely when Mom and Daddy Len are not home. Read more:Sisters
Scorpion! 2007-10-30 18:59:00 I LOVE bugs!!!!! We moved into our new house recently, and Mom did not like all the bugs that kept coming in the house. Big bugs, small bugs, spiders, beetles, and SCORPIONS! Did I mention that I LOVE bugs? If there is a bug in the house, I will find it. One day Mom found me playing with this huge scorpion. She freaked out and killed my friend!
Reptile Friend in Morocco 2007-10-30 18:50:00 Here is my last friend from this trip Mom took......actually I am not sure if he is a friend. He is a snake, and he was being charmed by the snake charmer. I don't know if I like snakes. Read more:Morocco
Camel Friends in Morocco 2007-10-30 18:28:00 Here are my friends the camels from Tangiers Morocco
! They have to work all day. I sure would not like to work all day. Mom said that the people there make lots of money trying to get tourists to go for a camel ride. I don't think I would like to ride a camel. I would much rather ride on my mom's back when she lets me! Read more:Camel

Friends from Spain 2007-10-30 17:42:00 My mom and Daddy Len went to Spain
, Gibraltar and Morocco in April. They got some really neat pics there of some of my new friends in my Big World. My Feathered Friend from Aruba 2007-10-28 08:57:00 My other friend, the pelican, I like better, because he is a bird, and I love birdies! Mom said the pelicans were constantly swooping down into the water to catch fish. Each pelican had a seagull hovering over their heads to scavenge and catch scraps of fish. Read more:Feathered
My Reptile Friend from Aruba 2007-10-27 19:45:00 My mom loves to travel and she always brings home neat pictures of the animals she sees. Last month she went to Aruba with Daddy Len. She told me she fed papaya to some iguanas! I think I would have liked iguanas too if I was not always so scared all the time!
Bald Eagles are not REALLY Bald! 2007-12-18 19:20:00 Mom and Daddy Len went to the Fort Worth Zoo this past Sunday. Mom likes to look at the animals, but was sad that they had to be locked up, and not in their natural environment. They went to help me with pictures for my blog, of course. I was SUPER excited when they came home and showed me pictures of my new animal friends! (You can see from my blog, that I get SUPER excited a lot!) I will be posting these pictures mixed in with my other animal friends, so stay tuned! The first one I want to show you is a bald eagle. The bald eagle is the national bird of the United States of America. This bird used to be on the endangered species list, and there were not many birds left in the world. They have now grown in population and are no longer endangered. I am glad because I think the bald eagle is very distinguished and beautiful. The only thing I don't understand is why they are called "bald"? I think my Daddy Len is more bald than the bald eagle!!!My friend, Anna, wrote a nice story about bal Read more:REALLY
When We Were Small 2007-12-16 17:51:00 My mom did not have a lot of time today to help me with a long post, so I thought I'd just show you some pictures of me and my sisters when we were kittens. Mom rescued us all from shelters as orphans and saved us from a scary unknown! We were all SUPER cute and fuzzy back then, and snuggly too!P.S. We are all still SUPER cute and fuzzy, and still snuggly too! Read more:Small
Swarming Killer Bees in Mexico! 2007-12-14 16:23:00 I think I mentioned that Daddy Len is a pilot. Well, he just got back from Mexico
and boy did he have a story for me! I was SUPER excited when he told me that he saw a swarm of killer bees.....well, they may or may not have been killer bees, but at least I got your attention! I am not sure if bees are considered animal friends of mine or not.....but I am sure I would not like to get stung!Daddy Len had parked his plane at the gate in Mexico City, and he glanced at the plane parked next to him, and it had something funny on it's wing. He tried to see what it was, and realized it was thousands of bees that had been swarming and had landed on the airplane wing! The airport people had put on funny silver suits that made them look like astronauts, and threw buckets of something liquid on the bees to get rid of them. It worked and my friends, the bees were killed! All except for one bee! This one bee tried to escape to Dallas in the cockpit with Daddy Len! Unfortunately, he did not make it Read more:Killer
Wild Mountain Goats in Andalucia 2007-12-13 17:58:00 Here are my goat friends that mom saw in the mountains of Andalucia in Spain, in the Malaga province. You can't tell from the picture, but they live on a VERY steep mountain. They stopped here to rest because they were really tired from having to climb so far. Mom had to zoom in a lot since they were so far away, so I am sorry this picture is not so good. I will post some pictures of some local Texas goats soon, which will be much better!I think I like goats, but I heard they might smell bad. I know they don't take as many baths as I do.....I take at least a few cat baths every day! Read more:Mountain
