Feel Your Success
1970-01-01 00:59:59
Another month has flown by. This will be my year, I can tell. I've already started out on better feet than last year at this time.Things are looking up financially. I'm making more than I did last year, even though it's only February. I'm seeing in action the power of intention. It is something that comes from the heart, and the gut. You can't just wish or hope that you'll prosper, while at the same time you worry about money. That is a guarantee that you won't get anywhere. The secret (by the way, have you seen The Secret?) is in feeling it. Create the energy of what you want as if it had already happened by feeling what it feels like to have it. The more you can feel it, the greater will be the energy that draws it to you.Try it for yourself; don't take my word for it.

Frankie's Back!
2007-03-05 18:13:00
Early last week Frankie didn't show up when I fed them in late afternoon. I didn't think too much about it; he's a cat, after all, and could be anywhere. The next morning he wasn't there either. That concerned me, since he's always the most animated one at the morning feeding time. Pushing and eating like a little pig. But, not that morning. The next three days I worried about him. He's fixed, so I thought that meant he wouldn't wander. So did he go into the field down the road and get attacked by raccoons or coyotes? It was the only thing I could figure. We felt sad at Frankie's disappearance and presumed demise. Yesterday morning when Paul left for work at 5:30, there was Frankie, on the porch, waiting for his food! When I got up and went to feed the cats, I got the shock of my life at the sight of Frankie on the porch, looking up at me! He had lost a lot of weight, and was surprisingly very affectionate. I guess he was very glad to be home. But oh, what a smell! He

My Morning Onion Drink
2007-03-15 03:27:00
This morning I decided to throw some vegetables in the juicer for a morning drink. I figured that if I added some onion, it might help with this cold. So I tossed in half of a small yellow onion. Almost immediately the air became filled with onion fumes, and my eyes were absolutely running. It was way worse than simply cutting up an onion.I thought wow, that smells so potent it has to be healthy, and I started drinking the mixture. Oh - My - God!! I thought I was going to die! I didn't know which I would do first, throw up, fall down in a faint, or just wig out. It was really, really strong! I can't even describe how horrible it was! It wasn't a nasty taste, but the onion overpowered everything else, and the strength of it went way deep. It seemed to permeate every cell, so that I tasted, smelled, even FELT onion with every breath.I immediately grabbed a pear to lighten the effect a bit, but it didn't work. Halfway through the pair I thought I'd be sick. Then I tried

Is There Anybody Out There?
2007-04-15 17:00:00
How many people, do you think, are blogging? Is seems like gillions! It makes you wonder, with all the content there is to read on the Internet, does YOUR blog ever get read by anyone? There have been times when I've hesitated to talk about this or that, thinking that I might offend; but what difference would it make anyway, if no one is reading the posts? And the other side of that is, why would I worry about that? Have you seen some of the stuff out there?!Sometimes I get the feeling that the Internet is one huge, vast voyeuristic web, where anyone can write, show photos, or have media clips for all the world to see. There are no rules about content - or anything else. It's weird to think about.Where before the last few years, what people thought was mostly a private affair shared only with a person's sphere of family and friends, anyone anywhere is free to post their personal thoughts and views for the world to see. If it is offensive, then those it offends is free not to look.

Well, isn't this the coolest thing. I can write this in Google's Docs & Spreadsheets, and upload it to my blog. Blows me away how much technology can do. I started out very slowly on the technology bandwagon, back in the late '80s. I was one of those who strongly resisted the new computers. I learned on DOS, and could sort of use WordPerfect, and I didn't want to have to learn anything new. It was extremely traumatic for me; I just didn't 'get it'. I couldn't figure out how a computer thought. Now, almost 20 years later, I realize that I don't have to know how computers think. I only need to be able to learn how an operating system works, how to find something on the Internet, and have some basic knowledge that helps me learn new software. I've really come a very long way in the last 20 years. I've gone way beyond that initial fear, and now it seems that I can't learn enough, fast enough. I am a computer junkie. Fancy that.

Remember, we are always in TRANCE-ition.I welcome your comments and your feedback.

The New NGH-South Sound Washington Chapter Is Launched
2008-01-26 21:54:00
The NGH South Sound Washington chapter had its premier meeting on Friday, January 25, 2008 in Tumwater. We had 11 people in attendance, which is not bad for a "first" meeting. One of our members is on the staff of the Heart of Wellness Healing Arts Center, which is office space for 13 practitioners of different modalities. They have graciously agreed to let us hold our meetings there once a month.During this meeting, we refined our bylaws and mission statement, chose officers, set a regular meeting day and time, and decided on the yearly dues. In addition to that, we talked about our monthly presentations and chose a committee to work on a website. This group has felt good since the beginning. It is hard to believe that from the first idea of forming a group until this meeting, not even

World Hypnotism Day is almost here! This will be a great opportunity for you to find out more about hypnosis. Look for events being held in your area, or use a search engine to get more information. There are so many ways that hypnosis can be used in everyday life; it amazes me that the prejudices and ignorance around hypnosis are still so prevalent. You Are NOT Your Thoughts
2008-04-08 11:20:00
Eckhart Tolle and Oprah Winfrey are presenting a 10-week teleclass on Mr. Tolle's book, A New Earth. This book may not be for everyone, but if you are ready to dive within yourself and discover your true nature, then you are in for a wonderful ride with this one.A New Earth explains the difference between you - the essential you - and your thoughts and ego. You are not your thoughts, and you are not your ego. You are the awareness behind them. Without that awareness there would be no thoughts and no ego.Your thoughts are mostly meaningless. It is just the ego's chatter. You don't need to pay attention to it. When you are still and present in the moment, whatever you need to know will be there. You will be more calm, more peaceful, and more purposeful. And who wouldn't want that?

A New Name
2008-04-19 11:30:00
It dawned on me the other day that a name would be a great way to market my business; I know this sounds really obvious, but up to now, I've just been calling my business by my name - Rita Ballard, Hypnosis. Over the past few weeks I've felt like I need to have more of an identifier.Last night I decided on a name, and what a surprise I had when I discovered that the domain name I wanted was available! After checking on the 'net to see if anyone else had that name (especially anyone in my geographic area), I decided to go for it.I am now Awareness Hypnosis. This follows my belief about the importance of being aware of yourself - your thoughts, feelings, and actions and the part that plays in the life you ultimately create. So for me, this is the perfect business name, and I'm quite happ
