My wordpress blog traffic has SPIKED!! WOO HOO! 2007-12-03 23:39:00 That's right! The moment I put the article about the mummified hadrosaur in my WordPress.com blog, the whole traffic
sky-rocketed! :D Boy you should've seen the stats of my main WordPress blog. Yesterday's stats has a whopping 657 views on it and the traffic still keeps right on going after WordPress.com have reseted my stats bar. That mummified hadrosaur is certainly big news around here. Especially when it comes to the fact that the fossil has even fossilized skin, gaps between the spinal bones, and the ability to outrun a T.rex. Now how cool is that?Meanwhile, I'm working on another article that debunks a large article written for Apologetics Press entitled Humans and Dinosaurs- Together? that has a usual slew of lies, fabrications, and stupidity all wrapped up in one large article. It's not finished yet. Still has a lot to go before I post it on this blog. So be patient as I go and get it done so I can posted it on this blog for all to see. Perhaps I can also post it on my oth
A mummified Hadrosaur like no other 2007-12-03 01:58:00 In 1999, an extraordinary fossil of a mummified Hadrosaur have been discovered and unearthed by scientists who nicknamed this special hadrosaur "Dakota" after the state of North Dakota where the fossil has been found. The one of the most priceless of fossils, Dakota is to be regarded as the world's most complete fossil with fossilized skin as well as possible fossilized innards, muscles, tendons, everything entirely turned to stone without ever rotting away. This dinosaur is dated about 67 million years ago during the late Cretaceous Period, the very last part of the dinosaur age. What is so striking about this dinosaur is how the dinosaur is so well muscular that it has the ability to outrun Tyrannosaurus Rex. Its tail bore stripes like a tiger. Its body resembles an even balanced teeter-toter and most importantly, a gap is found in the spinal area that indicates the Hadrosaur was much longer, muscular, and more robust than previously thought. It can definitely lead people, especiall
The World's Largest Dinosaur Mural 2007-12-02 17:23:00 Imagine a mural about a whopping 180ft long containing nothing but pure Jurassic art filled with dinosaurs and other prehistoric life dating to the time of the Jurassic Period, in the Kimmeridgian Stage, 150 million years ago! Now imagine it being revealed as part of a renovation project at the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania where workers and scientists at the museum is renovating their dinosaur halls to keep up to date as more and more new discoveries made in recent years. Now imagine it no more, for it's now a reality, On Nov. 21, the Carnegie Museum of Natural History in Pittsburgh will unveil the world's largest dinosaur mural, a 180-foot-long portrayal of creatures and plants that lived in the western United States about 150 million years ago. The mural is part of a 30-month, $36 million renovation and expansion of the museum's dinosaur halls, says Matt Lamanna, assistant curator of vertebrate paleontology. Crackhouse Bashing from The Kentucky Courier Journal 2007-12-02 16:01:00 I've just got word from the scienceblogs grapevine that there is an article by James K. Willmot published in The KentuckyCourierJournal
that openly condemns Ham and his Crackhouse for brainwashing children into believing his stupid lies,There is a great educational injustice being inflicted upon thousands of children in this country, a large percentage of whom come from the Kentucky, Ohio and, Indiana areas. The source of this injustice is a sophisticated Christian ministry that uses the hook of dinosaurs, the guarantee of an afterlife, and the horrors of hell to convince children and their families to believe in a literal interpretation of the Bible. The tax-exempt ministry, Answers in Genesis, and its new $28 million creation museum in Boone County has become the de facto source of science information to thousands of Christians who are throwing away reason and 500 years of scientific inquiry and replacing it with ignorant dogma. In the article, Willmot compares Ham's Crackhouse wi

GULP! 2007-11-28 18:10:00 This is Cool!I've just finished reading 2 articles each from Laelaps and Vertebrae Paleontology blogs that tells about a latest study made by 2 Paleontologists about how Tyrannosaurus Rex feeds himself like a bird and believe me, you'll be glad T.rex is extinct when you read about how T.rex doesn't just crush bone with his powerful jaws but swallows his prey by tossing it up in the air and then "Gulp!" down it goes into the throat and stomach of the terrible tyrant!
In Their Dreams... 2007-11-27 14:19:00 Look at this piece of *^%#, This plaque is one of the many plaques shown in Ham's crackhouse that has slew of blatant lies, outright, malicious propaganda, and false history plastered all over them. This plaque claims that although none of the discoveries of humans and dinosaurs together has ever been made yet, if dinosaurs and humans aren't found together, it simply means they're [sic] "weren't buried together" which means that they must have lived separately and never interacted with each other....or so they assume. Kind of a rotten state of irony they're displaying, don't you think? First, creationists say that dinosaurs and humans lived together at the same time, then turn around and say that they never really interacted, but kept themselves apart from each other despite their constant, countless showings of scenarios, including sculptures, drawings, and illustrations in books, posters, paintings, comics, and animatronic displays depicting dinosaurs wearing saddles, Read more:Dreams
The Prosperity of The Idiot Museum 2007-11-26 02:06:00 Isn't that something! Lies do sell! From Evolutionblog --Meanwhile, the Cincinnati newspaper The Enquirer brings us this delightful story about what a smashing success the Creation Museum
has been: Inside, visitors will walk through the Garden of Eden, see dinosaur bones, and watch the solar system unfold as “evidence of God's creativity.” All of it supporting the idea that God created Earth in six days, that the planet is just 6,000 years old and those dinosaurs traveled on Noah's Ark to survive the Great Flood that created the Grand Canyon. In the six months since the museum opened, more than 265,000 people have toured the facility built by Answers in Genesis, a nonprofit evangelical ministry. Answers had predicted it might draw 250,000 the first year. The museum will double its parking lot by next summer.Charming.Click the title link to read more.
More on Dino Den, THE WORST DINOSAUR HALL EVER! 2007-11-25 22:11:00 Many posts back, I made a review on Ham's Dino Den crackhouse exhibit and how it is to be regarded as the worst dinosaur exhibit ever. Here's another example of how Dino Den is to be really regarded as the worst dinosaur exhibit ever -- no, THE WORST DINOSAUR HALL EVER!! Note one of the plaques being display alongside one of the crappy dinosaur models displayed there. Note in the plaque where Ornitholestes is said to have been found in rock layer wise. Doesn't it give you a very false impression that this dinosaur lived during the fifth dynasty of Egypt during the reign of Djedkare Isesi who reigned from 2414 – 2375 BC while in reality, Ornitholestes actually lived during the Late Jurassic Period about 150 million years ago? According to the plaque, it is the year 2348 BC when the Flood occurred according to the creationist claims. Problem is, King Djedkare Isesi, let alone all ancient Egyptians, had no recollections whatsoever of the alleged Flood taking place during their lifet
Nigersaurus taqueti 2007-11-25 22:10:00 Imagine a sauropod dinosaur with a broad hadrosaur-like mouth with a row of teeth in the front and none in the back. If you can picture that in your head, then you'll have an idea of what Nigersaurus taqueti, a Rebbachisaurid, looked like when it was alive, grazing on ground growing vegetation like a cow about 100 million years ago. Today, Paleontologist Paul Sereno has published a paper for the PLoS (Public Library of Science) Journal about this special Early Cretaceous dinosaur. Nigersaurus is about 29 feet long and had a broad mouth with a row of teeth in front of each jaw, none on the sides, and very thin skull. Each tooth in the jaw gets warn down and replaced by a new tooth faster than any other dinosaur known according to Sereno's study on Nigersaurus' jaw. So Nigersaurus don't have any problems with losing teeth as it munched on ferns and horsetail plants that once covered the area around 100 million years ago in what is now the Sahara region of Africa.
Book WalkThrough - The Great Dinosaur Mystery and the Bible (part 7) 2007-11-25 22:07:00 Mirrored here. Conclusion (Rewrite) This book is pretty well known....sort of. Some libraries have this book. But, I say this book should be among the section of the library label "Fiction" for this is exactly what this book is classified as - Biblical Fiction, just like The Prince of Egypt, The Robe, and Ben Hur. Paul Taylor is possibly one of the first few creationists to actively spread lies about dinosaurs by inventing tall tales and hoaxes, fabricating, rewriting, and twisting Biblical, historical, archaeological, mythological, and folkloric stories and texts, and distorting photos and ancient art to fit their own agenda. He created this series which he promotes in hopes to getting rich and powerful off of giving people what they want to hear instead of giving them the truth about dinosaurs based on valid, factual evidence. Every time creationists say "The Bible is true." it always translates to "My Word is true." This way they are making as if what they say is really God's Word Read more:Great

Taylor's Blame Game On page 50 as well as here, Taylor gives beneficial natural wonders such as "thorns and thistles, disease-producing germs and blood-sucking parasites, fighting and killing.." a bad name by claiming they are the result of sin. If so, then so is the bacteria that helps to digest food in our stomachs, fight off harmful diseases, and help herbivorous animals ferment their plant food after consuming them; so are the spikes that helps a cactus conserve water in the desert; so are the parasites that depend on their hosts for survival; so is the mushroom and other forms of fungi in which some are highly edible. Seriously, thorns, thistles, parasites, predators do have a beneficial purpose and are no way the result of sin.How are they the result of sin when all these things are a major benefit to every ecosystem God has ever made? Thorns serve a major purpose for plants by being defensive weapons against plant-eaters. In some cases, plants like the thorny sp Read more:Great

Story 6: Claim: Thousands of dragon stories and pictures can be found in ancient Chinese books and art. One interesting legend tells about a famous Chinese man named Yu. After the great world flood, Yu surveyed the land of China and divided it into sections. He "built channels to drain the water off to the sea" and helped make the land livable again. Many snakes and "dragons" were driven off from the marshlands when Yu created the new farmlands. Some old Chinese books even tell of a family that kept "dragons" and raised the babies. It is said that in those days, Chinese kings used "dragons" for pulling royal chariots on special occasions. Ancient Chinese books even tell of people using dragon's blood, fat, brains, and saliva for medicine. Rebuttal:There is no Acanthopholis remains found in China. Acanthopholis was an English dinosaur that lived 100 million years ago during the Cretaceous Period in what is now the UK, not the fabled Chinese dinosaur/dragon as seen on thi Read more:Great

Story 2 Claim: Scandinavian countries had about as many tales of dragons as anywhere in the world. One old legend describes a reptile-like animal that had a body about the size of a large cow. Its two back legs were long and strong. But its front legs were remarkably short. And its jaws were quite large. One of the unique things about many dinosaurs was their short front legs, compared to their long, strong back legs.2 Many also had large jaws. Examples of dinosaurs which fit are the Edmontosaurus. (ed-MONT-oh-SOR-us), and the Iguanodon (i-GWA-no-DON). Rebuttal: Iguanodon once lived in Europe, especially in what is now Scandinavia 100 million years ago, but Edmontosaurus lived in North America 65 Million Years ago, not in Europe, so the 2 dinosaurs never lived at the same time. The claim shown on page 39 as well as here is a direct fabrication of Lindworms, dragons of Scandinavia with 2 or no limbs. Their bodies are incredibly long and serpentine. Creationists like him are known to falsely and hypocritically accuse evolutionists of promoting fairy tales to people, claiming that "believing in evolution is like believing in fairy tales" as the radio program The Children's Bible Hour (a young earth endorser) puts it (One of the purest example of this, of YECs claiming evolution to be “fairy tales for adults,” which the statement is nothing but a quote taken out of context, is found here.), yet turn around and promote fairy tales of their own. One of the infamous fairy tales creationists tell is the fairy tale of dragons being dinosaurs people must have saw in ancient history. Since they have no valid evidence of people meeting up with dinosaurs in the fossil record, YECs instead would foolishly resort to legends, folklore, mythology (mainly all about dragons), elaborate hoaxes, and cryptozoology and cite them as evidence of people meeting up with dino Read more:Walkthrough

Real Dinosaur Ancestry The REAL first dinosaurs shared a common ancestor with basal archosaurs, reptiles with straight fully erect leg postures and appeared during the beginning of the Triassic period, flourished throughout the Triassic, and died out at the very beginning of the Jurassic Period about 190 million years ago. Among them were Ornithosuchus, Euparkeria, Lagosuchus, Teratosaurus, and Postosuchus. They are also known to be the ancestors of pterosaurs, marine reptiles, and crocodiles as well as dinosaurs. Book Walkthrough - The Great Dinosaur Mystery and The Bible 2007-11-25 21:48:00 This is a new version of this article I wrote for my Dinosaurs: A Creationist’s Fairy Tale Blog. Enjoy! Creationists, whether they admit it or not, have huge problems with dinosaurs and have tried over the years to deal with them in every way they know how. To deal with dinosaurs, they were faced with 3 options, 1. Deny their existence and dismiss their fossil remains as carvings of the Devil.2. Acknowledge their existence and accept the scientific fact that dinosaurs lived and died before the dawn of man.3. Lie about them. Say that dinosaurs once lived with man while ignoring the evidence of the opposite. Unfortunately, Creationist Paul S. Taylor chose 3 as their option because this is the only way he can fit dinosaurs into their young earth dogma. Still, ignoring the evidence of what Taylor teaches is not going to make it all go away. This lie began to rear its ugly head in the 1970s and began to spread in the late 80s and exploded throughout the decade of the 90s. Doyle in Denial of Mahakala 2007-11-25 21:44:00 One of the most recent of dinosaur discoveries made this year is the discovery of a basal dromaeosaurid named Mahakala (named in honor of a Tibetan protector deity), a dinosaur that lived 75 million years ago during the Late Cretaceous Period in what is now Mongolia. How does creationists deal with this other than denial? The answer is in this article from CMI where in the article entitled Plucking the Dinobird where Creationist Shaun Doyle (who has no experience at all in dinosaurology) tries to foolishly debunk the factual notion of dinosaurs having feathers by just telling the reader to deny everything evolutionists tell about Mahakala. After a brief introduction, in the segment entitled [sic] Feathered Fossil Folly, Doyle claims, "The first thing that needs to be stated before anything else is that no feathers were found with this fossil. This of course doesn’t stop them postulating that they had them and rendering them as such because they require Mahakala to have them for dino-to Read more:Denial
Book Walkthrough: Dragons of The Deep: Ocean Monsters Past and Present Part 5 2007-11-25 17:43:00 Then pages 60-63 shows Archelon, a giant sea turtle that lived 70-65 million years ago at the very end of the dinosaur age. yet, Wieland wants you to think it lived alongside humans as claimed on page 62 despite fossil evidence against such nonsense. Note on page 60 where Wieland states, "Some scientists actually think it [Archelon] may have been a larger relative of the leatherback turtle. So it could well have been descended from the same original Genesis (created) kind." Hardly any different than what evolutionists teach about common descent, eh? The original created kinds is the creationists' own version of "common ancestry". They teach the very same thing evolutionists teach when it comes to the fact that all life descend from one common ancestor. Yet they teach that it occurred at a fast rate over a few thousand years, let alone a few centuries, while their opponents teach that the process occurred at a slow rate over a period of millions of years. Its remains have been found in Kansas where remains of mosasaurs (which Cretoxyrhina preyed on) and plesiosaurs have also been found in that area. This prehistoric shark is found where much of the middle part of North America is covered by a shallow inland sea known as the Niobrara. Just like before, Wieland, on pages 54 and 55, wants you to believe that all fossilized bones, even of animals that have just been eaten, have to form rapidly in a matter of days or weeks or else every bone will rot away before millions of years have passed. Never mind the fact that bone can last a mighty long time, even for many centuries before being covered in sediment and fossilized. Pages 30-33 tells about the Colossal squid, known by its genus name Mesonychoteuthis hamiltoni, and how people have found this animal along with other types of giant squid dead and alive. Even recently there has been live sightings made of these monstrous animals like this one in a report given out not too long ago in March of this year about a certain Colossal Squid caught off the coast of New Zealand that could be the largest ever recorded on record. Note in the concluding text on page 32, where Wieland says, "Who knows what 'dragons of the sea' might lurk in the ocean's phenomenal depths? There may be creatures no one has ever seen, or that are known so far only from fossils." Note on page 18 how Wieland is giving a weak example of how life never evolve from some ancestor, but are the product of the same Designer by claiming that although plesiosaurs and pliosaurs different, they all share the same features and have one designer behind them. He then shows off 2 examples of a VW Beetle and a Porsche sports car and how they are different but have the same features inside that make them both run smoothly; both cars come from the same car designer Ferdinand Porsche (1875-1951) just as the plesiosaurs and the pliosaurs came from the same Designer (God), also. Part 2 deals with CMI's response to the latest report made by Paleontologist, Thomas R. It doesn't matter whether how large or bulky he was. A large Barosaurus skeleton nicknamed "Gordo" is going to be on display at the museum as part of the museum's renovated galleries of dinosaurs. The largest dinosaur ever unveiled in Canada -- the Royal Ontario Museum's recently discovered Barosaurus -- will be unveiled this weekend after spending more than 40 years in the museum's basement. Dr. David Evans, associate curator in vertebrate palaeontology at the ROM, told Canada AM on Wednesday that the rare sauropod skeleton was long forgotten before he discovered it last year. A false hope for an unfossilized finding. 2007-12-12 14:17:00 If you're waiting for a creationist's response to the Dakota Hadrosaur fossil, then wait no more. Shaun Doyle has an article entitled Hadrosaur Hi-jinx where in it he claims the ground breaking finding of a Hadrosaur mummy like no other features preservations that are highly consistent with the Flood, that would've been battered the living daylights out of the poor dinosaur with meteors, ashfalls, earthquakes, and mud and debris-filled waters if it did exist. The first part of the article announces the discovery of "Dakota" the Hadrosaur (I think it's an Edmontosaurus) and how it will be a subject of a National Geographic special Dino Autopsy which aired last Sunday. Hope you'd catch that show Sunday night. That was a neat show!
