We're brother's forever
2008-01-17 19:42:00
Shoot me! I saw it on TV last night and couldn't resist posting about him ... boy! he's got guts :D He must me a really good person to come up with that lyric.

Going 64
2008-01-16 23:20:00
Finally, my new workstation is up and running (since early this week actually ... I've been busy). Anyways, the new PC is a lot faster than my old one ... work wise. The memory management on this 64 bit machine seem to dump all it's resource on the primary application (my work software), therefore slowing down other stuff like net surfing and playing stuff (audio or video). It means less side

PC woes
2008-01-10 02:39:00
It's been a while since I last posted something, and there's a serious reason for that. As a post Christmas gift, we got a new PC for work ... and so we were finally reassigned to the regular shift. Good news right? Wrong! Days after getting my new PC we found out that the programs we use aren't compatible to what our "technical manager" ordered (Mr. know-it-all didn't even bother to ask us for

iWatch
2008-01-02 02:44:00
The first thing I did this year was to check out where my favorite cable channels moved ;P Now that I think about it, that's what I've been doing every year since we got cable! Sad part is we have Home/Sky cable, and it seems that they won't be providing one of my favorite channels anymore! :( I only get to watch cable on weekends as I don't have cable on our apartment, so I can appreciate

It's 2008!
2008-01-02 00:07:00
I've been really busy towards the end of the year. It's good to be back! a Happy New Year to everyone! :D Aside from work, I was preoccupied with the Christmas shopping, visiting God children to give their gifts, helping out a friend getting married (congratulations to Marvin and Richelle), cleaning up my desk, family reunions, and the usual celebrations! Frankly, this year's holiday season was

A taste of Wii
2007-12-21 12:24:00
I might have lost the chance of buying a Wii for Christmas, but I certainly enjoyed my first Wii game trial! :D Earlier we had our groups Christmas party at Louie, Ron, Jo, and Ferdz's place. Louie happened to own a Wii. It was almost everyones first time playing the stuff, so overacting gestures were expected. When I arrived Ralph had already been beat by Trina. Since some of us that have been

Poor birds
2007-12-19 07:53:00
I've said before how I'm very fond of listening to things while I work. By listening, I also mean watching minimized videos which I seldom peek at during curious spots. I don't exactly know why this is so, but simulating the busy environment works for me ... and just so I'm not fed with junk, I usually play documentaries which I can subconsciously digest. Recently l've been watching Louie

Re-connected

Bought the new phone earlier, I figured that waiting for the weekend was just waiting for the inevitable. I really liked my old one, with it's easy of use features, functionality and it's slick appearance ... but I saw the +1 version (Motorola L72) which was just a few hundreds more in price. So I went for that! It's almost the same, except this one's got a 2 Megapixel camera, an FM radio

Phoneless
2007-12-09 06:58:00
This afternoon I was victimized by a pickpocket at the 168 mall in divisoria, I lost my phone. I'm usually alert when in such crowded public places, but carrying gifts I bought for people and finding the whereabouts of my mom and sister distracted me this time. That may just have been the weak point the thief or thieves was looking for. This is the first time someone ever attempted to steal

Jesus Saves
2007-12-07 05:56:00
This is about the story of Pauline Jacobi, a 92 year old woman who stood her ground from a robbery attempt. Such strong faith, it's very inspiring :) I would have fought back had it been me.

Wii-ing my options
2007-12-06 07:20:00
As I said before in my seven truths post, I'm usually a thrifty person (not with food ;P) that likes to save for the bigger stuff. The same is true with my gift giving style. Celebrating Christmas, I usually don't buy individual gifts for our family but instead buy something that all of us can enjoy or actually need. In the past years we had a (an item a year mind you ;P) new TV, washing machine,

Baby Franco
2007-12-04 11:15:00
I have a new Godchild, he was Christened just last sunday, he looks so cute wearing his mini barong :) Having a new Godchild reminds me that I haven't done my Christmas shopping yet ... not s single gift bought! Arrgh! This one of the downsides of having graveyard shift schedule, almost everything is dead when you go home from work.

Another pirated project ...
2007-12-03 05:35:00
Update: - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - After asking around, I just found out that the guy who posted the screener video is the composer Felipe Jose Ramirez. The guy who was originally suppose to do the musical score for the short. We believe our old company pulled the project from him (don't know why, I guess they didn't reach an agreement ) ... so he does have a copy, and this is

I'm stuck here till 6
2007-11-29 06:41:00
As a result of the earlier Manila Peninsula incident, involving Senator Antonio Trillanes IV and Brigadier General Danilo Lim the government has imposed a curfew throughout Metro Manila, in Central Luzon , and the CALABARZON area. I'm sure this will affect the schedule of everyone doing graveyard shifts, may it be call center agents, medical professionals, entertainers, post production crews ..

Ronito Ronita
2007-11-27 14:17:00
Here's something fun to join for the holidays. Ronnie's version of a cyber Monito Monita, called Ronito Ronita. Props to Ronnie for this wonderful idea :D "Monito Monita" is a traditional Filipino Christmas gift giving activity among friends, colleagues, and peers. Rules may vary depending on what was agreed upon. The identity of the giver is withheld from his Monito/Monita (the person who will

Unplugged
2008-03-14 22:13:00
I just came to sweep the floor and remove some cobwebs. Works eating me whole, but thankfully I still have a life. I may have enough time to surf the net, blog, or even visit other blogs (sorry guys, I'll try to make time you all ... ). Posting stuff here and reading other blogs has always been a form of stress release, but nowadays I find myself diverting my attention to other things non-cyber (

Not so holy ...
2008-03-22 01:51:00
Holy week. That one spiritual week in a year when Filipino Catholics / Christians reflect upon their actions, if I'm correct this is also the period of the year when crime rates are at it's lowest (hey, thieves got to reflect to you know). Every year our family usually joins traditional meaningful activities like visita iglesias, processions and stuff ... it was not different this year. We had

Ahem ... hi?
2008-07-25 06:03:00
How do i start this? I just passed by to let people know I'm still alive ... that I'm still just very much busy with a project (expect hanggang next year panay paramdam lang muna ako ;P). Anyway everything's good, aside from work I've still had my weekend adventures ... I can't stay to write a long post so I just decided to give you sort of a road map of what's been "up" with me on my we
