I enjoyed reading this article by Linda Grant, Lanvin: a hidden allure which offers us a history lesson about Jeanne Lanvin's rise to fame in the fashion industry. It's amazing how long the brand has lasted considering Jeanne Lanvin wasn't a self-promoter and didn't have any public relations. She simply had a love for quality. Alber Elbaz, the current designer for Lanvin, saw something in this brand to give it new life. It wasn't until this year did I really pay attention to Lanvin - more so because of the recent bold and chic ad campaigns in the fashion glossies.
