The Bourla is a neo-classicist theater-building designed by Pierre Bourla and was build in 1828.

The cathedral in Antwerp is the largest Gothic church in the Low Countries. Mary is the patroness of this Cathedral
(hence the name Onze-Lieve-Vrouwekathedraal, or the Cathedral of Our Lady) Each year thousands of people come and express their love and sorrow to Mary.
Construction started in 1351 and was ended (but never been completed) in 1521. Its architects were Jan and Pieter Appelmans.
Oudaan 2007-11-16 04:31:47 Encouraged by the late mayor Lode Craeybeckx the building of an administration center was scheduled. The construction started in 1958 and was finished in 1967. The completed tower was 70 meter high. The architect is Renaat Braem. At present, the building serves as administrative center for the police, in short, the “policetower”.

In 1967 waren de werken voltooid en was de 70 meter hoge toren een feit. De architect is Renaat Braem. Antwerpen’s new Court building on the Bolivarplaats in the south of the city. This building has a very contemporary architecture and stands symbol for a transparent justice. For the design T.V. Richard Rogers Partnership ,VK Studio and Arup worked together.

This is the lane that leads up to the castle Bouckenborgh, which is the cultural center of Merksem. The park surrounding it measures 18 ha and is mentioned in history as far as 1532. The castle was build in 1810.

The popular beer “a Bolleke” has an amber color, high fermentation and a spicy taste. The aroma is silky but has a full body. It’s mad without the addition of corn or other brown sugars.
