Php850,000 / $17,000 2007-11-25 12:07:44 If you have been reading my blog for a while now, you would probably have an idea of what that amount is. I have been reminded last night by my friend from college of how spoiled of a brat i really am. Well, I really did not need him because whatever thing that costs that much money is never meant to be forgotten right? And yes, I am talking about my car! It has been almost six months already since I got him/her. Haha. I still have not decided on the gender. I still think that the jade sea color is gay, much to the objection of other owners who happened to be men.
I have not been exactly the perfect owner but I am sure that I am doing my part to protect this liability. No, it is not an asset! Why not? Because accounting definition says so. Anyway, I was planning to have the color change and make it even more of a liability. I really would like to have an orange car and I have been continually reminded that I should just have gotten a Dodge Caliber instead. But no! That car is not as cu
Farewell, Potter? 2007-11-23 04:36:44 This post might contain spoilers. If you have not read any of the Harry Potter
books, feel free to skip this post.
I have finally finished the book after a month of having it. Since it came last month, I have not removed it from its box along with the rest of the Harry Potter books. I found myself busy with so many things that I did not have the chance to even examine the book, excited as I was when it first came. I had the chance to read the ebook and I have read most of the book in ebook format. I had time back then. Now, time seems to be really scarce if you are not using it efficiently.
Implied or not, there are many lessons that can be learned from the series. First off, treat everyone equally. The magical world has been divided within the beings who lived in it. Wizards, witches, giants, elves, goblins and all the other. Class division exists within the pureblood, half-blood and the muggle borns. Does it not make you wonder how that also exists beyond this work of fiction? Persis Read more:Farewell
Stop. 2007-11-21 17:51:24 This post is for all those people who think that with just one comment here in my blog, they already have me as their friends. Please do not link me unless I specifically asked for you to do so. I will not reciprocate a link just because you started it. I believe in quality linking and linking only to sites that I myself would visit. I hope this becomes clear to anyone who’s aim is to get my site’s PR3 to vote or rather link to their site.
I have missed visiting my VIPs and I know that they miss me too. *wink* So here’s my update on them:
Ate Carlota and her photo gift cards.
Dishie has yet to update.
Dhadha is monetizing her blog.
Kuya Eli discusses the PPP members PR drop. =(
Ate Ethel has a new site and will be hosting a contest for her birthday some time soon.
Haven’t heard from Gayle in a while. hmm.. but I found Hanmae’s website through her current post. yay!
Ate Ghee and her poem for her sister.. aww. so sweet of her!

Many sites have tried and probably failed to keep up with the demand of a good online playing environments. Here is where Backgammon Masters comes in. Weeeee! 2007-11-16 23:05:58 For a while there had been a shortage of Nintendo Wii in our city. Crazy huh? People are buying it for different purposes. I wanted one and now that I can finally afford it, I could not find one. I read in one blog that the guy had to wait for more than 13 hours in line to get his Wii. In my case, I only waited an hour or so. My cousin found through his connections that there is a stock of Wii available in Brea Mall. He reserved two copies and we immediately drove out there. It was quite a ride. There are too many cars traveling in the freeway on a Friday night but we were determined to get the Wiis. We even saved a dollar! Haha. The tax rate of Brea was only 7.75% compared to our city’s 8.25%. I was pretty excited to use the Internet feature of the Wii and was really disappointed that I had to buy the Internet channel for $5. But it’s still worth it, I think. Currently, my mom is watching her ABS CBN telenovelas on YouTube using the Wii. More updates later…

Learning Strategy 2007-11-12 22:49:06 According to the VARK Questionnaire Result:
* Visual: 6
* Aural: 8
* Read/Write: 11
* Kinesthetic: 12
I took the test again and this is my most current result. Now, I don’t believe that learning strategy can change but somehow mine does. It is quite weird for me because I never had a score for the Kinesthetic part or it was so low, I don’t remember exactly what my scores were but I am pretty sure that I really did not have a high score in Kinesthetic.
Why is it important for me to know which learning strategy works for me? Simple. I need to be able to save my time in studying. I have an even busier schedule now that I have started working. I will lose another 20 hour or so of my life. I need to still get good grades and be on top of my game so I have to utilize every source that I have efficiently.

Buy a cartridge, not a new printer! 2007-11-12 11:01:32 How I wish I had found out about Cartridge Finder a little sooner. My partner and I did a little presentation for Speech class. He wanted to just printout the copies of the handouts from his own printer. I told him it was fine. However, he ran out of ink and told me that he could not figure out which cartridge to buy. Guess what he did? He decided to buy a new printer instead! Our presentation cost us about a $100 or so. If only we knew about Cartridge Finder!
What exactly do they do? They provide a search service to find the right cartridge for your printer. They have a simple interface and it’s user friendly. You choose the brand of your printer first. You choose the model next. They show a picture of some of the models. After making sure that you choose the right model, you have to enter your zip code so they can provide you an estimated price by using PriceGrabber.

Link Shams 2008-03-08 19:15:29 Examples of link schemes can include:
Links intended to manipulate PageRank
Links to web spammers or bad neighborhoods on the web
Excessive reciprocal links or excessive link exchanging (”Link to me and I’ll link to you.”)
Buying or selling links that pass PageRank
According to Google, these are some of the reasons why a blog/site can be penalized and have [...]
Educational YouTube 2008-03-14 13:33:05 Two of my subjects are turning out to be pretty easy thanks to the help of Youtube. My professors have been using Youtube as a source of videos to show to our class. For Biology, I think it is rather helpful because it helps the students to picture out how things are happening within the [...] Read more:Educational

Happy St. Patty’s Day 2008-03-17 18:35:59 It’s the time of the year to get drunk! LOL.
Unfortunately for me, I am not yet in the “legal” age to drink nor would I have the time later. I have class until ten tonight and I have an early morning exam on Biology so a hangover is a definite no-no! Anyways, I hope you [...] Read more:Happy

Easter and other events of sorts 2008-03-24 12:37:28 My dear Ate has tried to update her blog to no avail. I noticed how a database error was showing up when I tried to leave her a “happy easter” message in her blog. So I texted her and it turns out that she did try to do an upgrade. As I have mentioned before, [...] Read more:Easter

Upgrade your Wordpress to 2.5! 2008-04-11 11:16:59 I find it quite ridiculous that after releasing Wordpress
2.3.3 a few weeks ago, there is now a newer Wordpress version. Now, I wouldn’t normally advocate an upgrade because so many things can go wrong. But then again, the effects of not upgrading could be pretty disastrous especially for those people who are monetizing their [...]
Assorted Blog Hopping Updates 2008-04-13 10:01:18 First off, what is preventing me from writing a new post is because I wanted my Upgrade Your Wordpress to 2.5 to be the first entry that any of my visitors see. I wanted to spread the awareness of why we should do it. Better safe than sorry, as they say.
So I finally had the [...]
Colbert takes Time 100 lead from Rain 2008-04-16 01:18:03 Last Thursday’s broadcast of the Colbert

Dis-connect-ed 2008-04-20 18:21:13 Ever had friends whom you only talk to online? I have some. It always made me wonder how we seem so close only online but not in the “real” world. How come there is a separation of the two? Hmm. I think it’s because that sometimes, well maybe most of the time, people play out [...]

Time 100’s Most Influencial Person: Rain vs Colbert? 2008-04-25 02:34:44 Unfortunately for my dear Stephen, he is now third in the list.
