Botnet"? Your answer might be uninteresting "No, what is that anyway?". Storm Botnet is a group of computers that are remotely controlled. According to some data, as of September 2007, the number of computers ranges from 160,000 to 1 million. The rub is, these computers are actually compromised, the owners doesn't know that their computers are remotely controlled by other people and are used for malicious purposes such as spamming and DOS attacks. These computers are controlled by "Storm Worm", a trojan which is spread via spam email. With the sheer number of computers available for the hackers, they can bring down any website or even Internet access of any nation. Now and then I get infected. I tried a lot of anti virus products and lately I succeeded in implementing a working anti virus protection. I'm sharing it with you, as it might be of help.I was using AVG Anti Virus Free Edition exclusively. However due to the sheer number of infections, I started to experiment with several anti viruses.
