Led Zeppelin 2008 Tour Confirmed 2007-11-21 10:39:18 It is still completely unofficial, but it has been strongly suggested that the idea of a 2008 Led Zeppelin
reunion tour is finally in the works.
Ian Astbury, lead singer of The Cult revealed during a recent gig that the band have been asked to support Led Zeppelin
in their 2008 tour. He is reported to have said: "We'll be back next year, because we're opening for a band you may have heard of. The name starts with an 'L' and has a 'Z' in it."
A fan in the audience shouted "Led Zeppelin?" to which the singer nodded, confirming his suspicions.
We are still awaiting official confirmation on a tour from the band's management, so stay tuned for the latest info. Read more:Confirmed
Foo Fighters To Play Wembley Stadium 2007-11-21 10:33:12 Foo Fighters
are set to play Wembley stadium next year on June 7. The plan at the moment is to have the gig broadcast live on Radio 1 which would definitely pull in more viewers for the radio station while further promoting the band in the UK.
Tickets go on sale at 10am this Friday (November 23) and although there will probably be around 75,000 seating tickets and 15,000 standing tickets going on sale I really wouldn't expect these tickets to last more than a few days, so get them while you can. Read more:Stadium

Thom Yorke Speaks On Solo Album 2007-11-21 10:06:45 Radiohead frontman Thom Yorke
has claimed that working as a solo artist is "dull".
Yorke released his debut solo album The Eraser last year to critical acclaim (and rightly so, it was a masterpiece of an album) but he explained: "It was kind of dull [working on my own]. It was deeply unsatisfying because you weren't sharing much of the process but then I got back with the band and it was like 'Oh my god, there's all these other other people I have to work with now'."
On a semi-related note, Thom Yorke's bandmate Ed O'Brien has stated that Yorke needs more persuading on the idea of Radiohead touring next year. We can only hope that it'll happen, as the band can only be described as Gods.
On the idea of playing festivals Thom said: "That collective experience. Thousands of people in a field wanting the same thing, going to the same place, with the same mindset. I think that's really important." So festival appearances definitely seem to be a possibility at present. Read more:Album
The Futureheads - Broke Up The Time - Music Video 2007-11-12 11:55:22
English indie-rockers The Futureheads are back and are as average as ever.
The new track, titled "Broke Up The Time", is the first track to be heard from their upcoming, as-yet-untitled third album and can be heard in their new video (above) or on their MySpace page.
The track is good but just short of being catchy. It's no "Skip To The End" - that's fo' sho'. Read more:Music

Gallows are the Shit; Plus Making of "Staring at the Rude Bois" Video 2007-11-07 13:09:15 It has been a colossal year for Gallows
– an English punk rock band that has achieved more in their two years together than most bands accomplish in their entire careers.
Their recent shows include the Warped Tour in the USA; the Taste of Chaos tour in Australia, New Zealand, Japan and Europe; and too many UK dates to list - NME magazine has even announced front man Frank Carter as the winner of their 2007 Cool List. They deserve every one of their illustrious achievements.
Their upcoming single features English rapper Lethal Bizzle on a modern reworking of song by The Ruts titled "Staring
at the Rude Bois". The new version includes lyrics by Carter and Bizzle to reflect street life in 2007 rather than 1979.
You can watch the making of "Staring at the Rude Bois" by clicking one of the following links - assuming you have Windows Media Player.

Boyzone Reform for Reunion Tour 2007-11-07 03:14:01 Oh, yes! Another 90s boy band is reforming.
The mildly successful Irish boy band Boyzone
have already confirmed their performance for the BBC's television charity appeal Children in Need and now they hope to follow it up with a tour.
Lead singer Ronan Keating told The Sun: "After all the speculation we are getting back together and we are very excited. We have been talking about it for a while now and decided to go out there on our own and have a go at it."
There are problems already though and you will never guess why...
The band bought and recorded a song called "I Gave It All Away", which was written by cheesy pop singer Mika, but Mika has banned the release deeming it too cheesy.
You can watch Boyzone perform during Children in Need on Friday, November 16. Read more:Reform

New Babyshambles Song Posted Online 2007-12-07 11:02:22 A new song by Babyshambles has been posted online. The song is titled "Pretty Sue" and you can listen to it here.
Drummer Adam Ficek revealed in a mySpace bulletin that the band plan to post two further new songs online within the next few weeks, "1939" and "Mouse In The House".
He also hinted that Babyshambles would be playing some low-key Christmas shows, which one can only assume will mean a return of their impromptu pub gigs.
Pennywise Sign With... MySpace? Say What?! 2007-12-06 15:47:25 American punk rockers Pennywise have left their label of 15 years, Epitaph, for a new label created by the social networking website MySpace
.
The band’s ninth studio album, which is still untitled, will be available on March 25, 2008. The best part is that for two weeks the album will be FREE – the catch being that users must “befriend Textango”.
Pennywise lead vocalist Jim Lindberg said, "We can also potentially expose our music and message to people around the world who may have never had the opportunity to hear it because they either couldn't afford to buy a CD or they didn't have access to music outlets or good distribution."
Physical copies of the album will be distributed by MySpace Records. Digital copies will be sold on the MySpace website via mobile content company Textango.
I suggest you do not search for Pennywise on Google image search. You will find a picture of Jason Thirsk's (former bassist) dead, naked body.
Interesting fact: the band took their name from the

Simpson Defence Force Assemble 2007-12-06 09:00:13 Poor Ashlee and Jessica -- yes, I am defending the Simpson
sisters. Papa Joe just keeps on getting more like a sexually abusive drunken stepfather every day.
Ashlee has been banned from bringing boyfriend Pete Wentz home for Christmas because her father/manager is a prejudiced homophobic asshole.
"Joe has told Ashlee she can't bring Pete home for the holidays. He was sceptical about the relationship from the start,” a source told Star magazine. "There is a rumour that Pete tried to commit suicide, but with the news of his possible bisexuality, Joe blew his top. Ashlee is upset, but she values her dad's opinions and has agreed."
Joe also has problems with his other daughter too. That’s right, 27-YEAR-OLD Jessica is still being controlled by daddy. He set her up with Dallas Cowboys quarterback Tony Romo, but is now complaining they are getting too close. Read more:Force

Maximo Park Lauch Their Own Beer 2007-12-04 11:39:27 Newcastle Brown Ale is soon to be rebranded as Maximo
Brown Ale in a move that will hopefully make Maximo Park
synonymous with their glorious hometown of Newcastle.
The band have been hard at work designing their own label for the bottles of ale which will go on sale nationwide on December 15 (the same date that they are playing at the Metro Radio Arena in Newcastle).
Frontman Paul Smith said: "So many amazing things have happened for our band in a short space of time and to have our image emblazoned on a Brown label is another addition to that list.
"It would be great for our band to be as synonymous with Newcastle as the mighty Brown Ale, and it's both amusing and an honour to be able to deface the label in this manner!"
The label will be on the front of 25,000 bottles of Brown Ale that are to be sold at the Newcastle gig, as well as at the Stereo group of nightclubs in Newcastle, Brighton, Oldham and Huddersfield.

New Radiohead Video Appears Online 2007-12-04 11:24:19 The video for Radiohead
's new single Jigsaw Falling Into Place has finally found its way onto the Internet. The video is black and white and while its nothing spectacular the song is really good (although it wouldn't be my first choice of song to be released as a single).
Anyway, here's the video...

Slipknot To Start Work On 4th Album 2007-12-17 11:37:27 Slipknot have announced that they are soon to return to the studio from hiatus to record their fourth (official) studio album.
The band's drummer, Joey Jordison, has confirmed that the 9-piece band will return to the studio in January and hope to release the album in the spring.
Jordison said: "We'll probably start touring a month of so before the album comes out, kind of the same way we did the Jagermeister Tour' before 'Vol. 3' came out (in 2004)."
"So we'll do something like that as well and we're looking at right now doing some European festivals next year but nothing's in stone yet.
