Botanical Gardens, Tasmania - Infrared 2008-03-03 23:34:30
Just one quickly before I goto the gym. This was photographed at the BotanicalGardens
, Tasmania
with a Hoya R72 infrared filter. I’m quite happy with how this came out as I normally struggle with the after processing. Read more:Infrared
Urbex Tunnel - Self Portrait 2008-03-02 20:07:45
This was taken underground in a old tunnel built with convict bricks. For the shot I set the camera to bulb mode as I was unsure how long the exposure would actually be and this allowed me to not rush things. Once the camera was firing I would take a seat then shine the torch [...] Read more:Self Portrait

Clifton Beach, Tasmania - Seascape Long Exposure 2008-02-28 20:28:31
I was laying in bed this morning thinking how the beach would be if the water was actually of this fairy floss like texture, weird.
As the title states, this was taken at Clifton Beach
, Tasmania
on sunset just before the weather caved in.

Richmond Bridge, Tasmania 2008-02-26 06:07:22
Taken looking underneath the Richmond
Bridge towards the old church. This is a one shot high dynamic range (HDR) so it’s a little grainy which isn’t so pretty. Read more:Tasmania
Otago Bay, Tasmania - Boat Ruins 2008-02-24 23:53:46
Sometimes I’ll drive around aimlessly, looking for the opportunity to take a shot somewhere. Many times I’ll return home without even getting out of the car. This time things went according to plan and I walked away with this shot captured at Otago Bay, Tasmania
. I’m not sure why but I really love reflections, my [...] Read more:Ruins
Sydney City Long Exposure 2008-02-22 20:56:13
Sitting, waiting, wishing.
Outside the Church of Scientology in Sydne as commuters wait for their late bus. I did a few shots similar to this while in Sydney
and really wish I used a tripod or atleast found something to lean the camera on.

Hotel Stalking 2008-02-13 03:17:22
I’ve met such a wide variety of people through photography, some a little strange and others who I’m happy to call very close friends, this is one.
On a very wet afternoon in Sydney, I never realised how much it rains there? Crazy.
Been playing with light room lately, I’ve always resisted it a little for some [...] Read more:Stalking

Cradle Mountain, Tasmania - Dove Lake 2008-03-29 19:06:17
Photograph taken at CradleMountain
, Tasmania
I hate it how our photography develops and we learn to compose shots differently and begin nitpicking old work. For instance, this probably would of worked better a little less cropped in camera. So zoomed out a little and possibly a little less sky. Ahhh you live and you learn.
Snug Falls, Tasmania - Waterfall Long Exposure 2008-04-02 01:13:14 Another long exposure waterfall photograph but this time captured at Snug Falls
, Tasmania
. This really is quite the spectacle when it has been raining hard, definitely worth the walk in even if you drown from the showers. The foreground is foam which some think is the water flicking up, that would be cool. With the [...] Read more:Waterfall

Botanical Gardens, Tasmania 2008-03-30 22:43:50 Taken at the BotanicalGardens
, Tasmania
with a Canon 50 1.8
Ahhh the new wordpress has changed things up so much, I think I prefer the old. Does anyone else blog? I’m always interested to read others, especially when they are posting photography.
Tasmania Underground 2008-04-03 17:25:30 Sorry that the resolution is tiny, whenever I plugin my external hardrive it interferes with my speakers and makes a buzzing sound through the speakers so I try to avoid using it whenever I can. Would love to hear if anyone has any idea why it would be interfering?
But moving on, this was taken underneath [...] Read more:Tasmania
Depth of Field 2008-04-05 01:11:00 Playing with depth of field with a Canon 50mm 1.8 (nifty fifty) and also different lightroom settings. A low saturation look seemed to work alright with this one. Read more:Depth

Canon 5D Mark II Latest Rumour 2008-04-07 19:29:22 Fingers crossed this is true but the amount of different rumours I’ve heard about the new 5D replacement has made me give up and just wait for an official announcement. The reason I post because it’s alleged that the release may occur April 22, not far away at all. I’m very sceptical but it sure [...] Read more:Canon

Motorised panning head for timelapse has arrived 2008-04-08 20:26:38 I really love timelapse photography and wanted to progress further by getting a motorised panning head but was deterred thinking it would cost big bucks. Turns out you can get a package for moderately cheap ($160usd inc shipping to Australia) and all left is needed is 8 batteries (outch) and a metal bracket head made [...]
Hobart Rivulet - light trails long exposure 2008-04-10 05:45:56 Urban exploring beneath the city of Hobart in the rivulet. For the lighttrails
, torches were used and the slight yellow of one of the torches is because it had a orange CD cover over the top
