Positive Thinking 2007-12-16 08:26:00 this day was unbelievable.it didn't occur to me that i have to end this day with something emotional, too (like how it started)i'm still this sad, depressed person.but at least now the thesis-ing is improving.later this afternoon, while i was surfing the net for anything that would temporarily make me forget what i was doing (thesis-ing), i stumbled into several sad-emo-depressing blog entries of people.naghahanap ng kasama/karamay, kumbaga. haaay.one of the posts quoted:"i've never been in this situation where i deeply care for someone very much yet i also don't care for them at all."what the heck. may ganyan ba talaga.maybe he really cared for that someone all this time. maybe there was just something that made him think that he didn't really care at all. it could be pain. hatred. bitterness. i dunno. maybe something bad.but the truth is, he still cared.hindi lang siguro niya matanggap na ganun. na kahit anong gawin niya e he will always care for that person.napaisip tuloy ako Read more:Positive

Full 2007-12-15 10:14:00 why does Life keep on hitting me on the face?just the other day i think i just lost a friend. i think i did/said something that made our friendship end. if it wasn't for that then maybe i could have had a more exciting, jollier, better christmas party with my friends.and now -- people, they kept saying things that reminded me of that friend. i don't know if it's just coincidence or whatever.well this is so unbelievable. i want to forget what happened, okay?it was my fault. i feel terrible. i was stupid.i was a fool.and nowi want to forget.so give me a break.(but who's to blame. no one knows, ian. no one.)crap. how could i be so stupid. and careless. and pathetic. and so emotional (?!?)so this is what a fool, pathetic, emo person gets.OUCH.and now the thesis. crap talaga. holy crap.sa sobrang kakaisip ko sa mga bagay-bagay, nakalimutan ko nang mag-thesis.December 15 - i am supposed to spend this day for thesis alone. but what happened? i played Audition SEA, Audition PH, and Battle
My Oblation 2007-12-14 04:29:00 This post is a tribute to the UP OblationThe Oblation is a sculpture made by Guillermo E. Tolentino in the 1930s for the University of the Philippines. It was originally made from concrete but was later on cast in Bronze. Since then, this work of art has been featured in many kinds of medium, either in prints, TV, movies, etc. to represent UP.The sculpture has not only been an iconic symbol of the university but of the entire country as well. Its form, represented by a man with arms wide-stretched and face facing the sky, symbolizes selfless offering of one's self to his country. The statue was built as requested by former UP President Rafael Palma based on the second verse of Jose Rizal's Mi Ultimo Adios. That particular passage tells about giving up one's self for the country. In other words, patriotism and sacrifice. Thus, the Oblation generally represents an individual, a Filipino for that matter, that is without any hesitation, ready to give up everything for his/her country.Wi
Oops! 2007-12-14 03:36:00 10:00 AM. A crowd of students was beginning to form at the UP Manila CAS' Rizal Hall.11:45 AM. The RH lobby was almost full. People, students and faculties, were all waiting for "the run" to start. Yep. Today was UP Manila's Oblation Run. And today, finally, I got to see this event (just before I graduate! hahah). Four years in UP and I haven't experienced watching even a single Oblation Run. Not until today! So now I have seen it with my eyes. Okay. That's it. =pThe Oblation Run is an annual event in commemoration of The Oblation. Members of the Alpha Phi Omega fraternity run around the campus naked (a concept known as streaking). This is also done to protest their sentiments about a current political or economic situation. [Source]Thanks to You, for covering me up sa pagkuha ng video.I really can't do it myself. =p

Barado 2007-12-08 07:53:00 I have always wanted to be doctor. That is why during my last year here at the University of the Philippines Manila as a Biology student, I could never be more excited. I know that just a few more months and I finally can do....what I have always dreamed of as a kid..what I have always stuck on my mind as a teenager..what I have always been waiting for all this time. This being-a-doctor thing, this isn't only a dream for me. When I was a kid, maybe yes. But for the rest of the years that I have existed then, it has changed dramatically. I spent most of my growing-up years in a rural area. As a teenager, I slowly and carefully observed how the community lacked enough medical attention. In college, due to the fact that I studied in UP Manila, I have seen with my eyes the reality that is within the walls of the Philippine General Hospital. It wasn't good enough. What more on the many underserved communities of the country? This is why I decided to apply for the UP College of Medicineâ€

This is a soooo random post.I can't wait to see Will Smith's "I Am Legend" -- but not on the big screen! Hahah! I managed to download a movie-screen copy online. Really nice quality.I also grabbed a copy of a movie entitled 'Once'. Musically-inclined daw yung theme ng movie, so I guess parang Music and Lyrics. It was set Read more:Happy

Not like this. But anyway, looking at the bright side of things is definitely a better feeling. So here I am, looking. Hahaha.Thesis.It brought me closer to some of my friends. Yeah, to some.It gave me one big reason to use the Internet (at home) almost all the time.It gave me an idea on who among the ones I know is the most frequent Y!M user.It made me think harder. It forced me to clean my room once in a while (I can't work/think properly on a messy room). It made me upgrade to Yahoo! You Make Me Wanna.. 2008-03-11 08:56:00 > Lazy day Monday. I swear to God I slept early last night. Sith can attest to that. We were thesis-ing last night when I actually reminded him that it's quite late for bedtime and I had to go. No one knows what happened that entire night while I was sleeping why on earth I ended up waking up really late this morning. Darn I was really pissed. I was out of schedule for about two hours. As a result, I wasn't able to attend my Rad. Bio class and I almost ditched an early lunch with my friends. What made this morning a little more interesting was when I was on my way to school. As I took a seat inside the bus, I realized that it's radio is on and is tuned in to 101.1 (I'm not sure of the station name) FM. As I was preparing my cellphone headset (I'd rather listen to my MP3s than on the radio),
Belat =p 2008-03-09 01:25:04 >Busy week last week. Not so busy week ahead.Monday.Busy day.I gave the narrative for The Epic of Gilgamesh in my Humanities II class. Big deal? Yeah (!?!?)I don't know what's getting into me everytime I attend this class but it seems really, uh, not worth the 90 minutes. For the past five months, I have done a lot for this subject - had an exam (and amazingly passed it), visited a museum, reviewed several works of art, watched a bunch of related videos, written a whole lot of reaction papers, read half a book, but believe it or not, I still can't find the 'H' in humanities (if you know what I mean). To think, it's the second (and final) exam on March 17. From what happend today, I am quite happy that I did something that made me remember that I actually have a Hum. II class this semester

The show has endured everything from Frenchie Davis' adult Web site photos to Corey Clark's claim that he had an affair with Paula Abdul to Antonella Barba's lascivious pictures. This year's shocker, according to The Associated Press, is that 24-year-old semifinalist David Hernandez used to work as a nude dancer at male strip club Dick's Cabaret in Phoenix. The manager of the club, Gordy Bryan, told the news service on Monday that Glendale, Arizona, native Read more:Stripper
A History of Cell Phones 2008-03-08 16:22:30 >Article: Courtesy of MSN Tech & Gadgets, and PC WorldFrom Motorola's first phone, which weighed in at 2 pounds, to Apple's iPhone, here's a look at how cell phones have evolved over the years.1982: HeftyMotorola DynaTAC 8000XIn 1973, Motorola showed off a prototype of the world's first portable cellular telephone. That phone, which measured more than a foot long, weighed almost 2 pounds, and cost $3995, ultimately became commercial available in 1983. Known as the Motorola DynaTAC 8000X, its battery could provide 1 hour of talk time, and its memory could store 30 phone numbers. It may not have been pretty, but it did let you talk while on the go--if you could lift it, that is. Reality [TV] Check 2008-03-07 23:52:45 >American Idol 7's Top 12 is finally revealed. Before the 3-week eliminations began, I had 12 contestants in mind who would make it to the top 12. Unfortunately, six of them were sent home. The worse part is, four of them, namely, Kady Malloy, Luke Menard, Asia'h Epperson, and Danny Noriega, were the last four people who were voted off on the way to completing the top 12. The remaining six that I have chosen are the ones on the right column. Tsk. I was sooo disappointed. Instead of them, I think these people must have been the ones to be removed from the competition (Note: my personal opinion)1. Amanda Overmyer - she's unique. That's it. I don't see her as a future Idol star. Sorry.2. Kristy Lee Cook - Alaina (voted off during week 2) is far better. Kady, too.3. Chikezie - I might be Read more:Check

Right Brain Projects™ 2008-03-01 08:26:00 >Since high school, I have been creating home-made videos into mini-films that would, well, in my own standards, fit for public viewing. I found this skill very useful especially in college when we are asked to create video projects/presentations and short films. Of course at times there is a thought of"If I actually decided to do filming as one of my priority in life, what would it be called?"It wasn't until today that I finally got it all figured out.I now consider my video creations (and similar digital art) as part of the RightBrainProjects

Leaplings and Leapers 2008-02-29 21:35:57 >A person born on February 29 may be called a "leapling" or "leaper". In common years they usually celebrate their birthdays on 28 February or 1 March. For legal purposes, their legal birthdays depend on how different laws count time intervals. Inadvertently pressing the wrong key combination or innocently clicking OK in the wrong dialog box can change important settings that alter a computer’s behavior or even crash the system.Nervous newbies are often fearful that one wrong move might break the computer forever. Luckily, short of taking a sledge hammer to the box, the consequences aren’t usually quite that dire. Even so, users often do create problems for their computers and for your network. What I've Been Looking For 2008-02-27 03:43:06 >Ateneo Children's Theater presentsHIGH SCHOOL MUSICAL February 9, 2008. The goal of this event was more of us, the volunteers, making the street children (c/o Ugnayan ng Pahinungod Manila) happy and entertained, more than us being entertained by the show as well.It was a very early Saturday morning. The Pahinungod office announced a 6AM call time. Maybe to avoid traffic. The show started 9AM at the Ateneo de Manila University's Henry Lee Irwin Theater. The crowd was full. Full of kids (about 95% of the audience). In general, what we were about to see was a theater version of Disney's highly famous High School Musical, which will be performed by the Ateneo Children's Theater (ACT) actors, and other performers from St. Bridgette's and Miriam.Take note: All were Grade 4 to Grade 7 kids, but w
