Tackle the real world by Schmap
2007-01-02 20:42:40
Join At first I thought that I would start the new year kind of mild and just make one tackle today: cleaning my desk. You can see the results below. Quite a difference I’d say! Then I happened to Stumble Upon a site with an excellent Map guide function Schmap.com that made me aware of other tackles I have to do. It called me back to the real world . You know that we’ve been travelling a lot before? (If not read our travel report) And maybe you’ve noticed that we only travelled twice during 2006? This is mostly because of my health issues. The Schmap Player is an excellent guide to different places in the world which is essential for a traveller and it made me aware of how much I really miss it… I really long for to go somewhere now. To explore. To enjoy. Ahh… If only my health would allow me too… It’s mainly my back, stomach and my lack of iron I need help with. So the tackle I have to make as priority #1 this year is: my health. I just ha

Breast Obsession
2006-12-29 13:15:56
Well, it’s Friday, what can I say, this is the type of jokes that use to pop up then… “A man was obsessed with women’s breasts, so he went to a psychologist and told him his problem. “Let’s play a little word association game,” the doctor said. “I’ll say a word and you say the first thing that comes to your mind.” “Plums,” said the doctor. “Breast s,” the patient said. “Oranges.” “Breasts,” the patient replied. “Watermelons.” “Breasts,” said the patient. “Wipers.” “Breasts,” the patient said. “Wait a minute!” the doctor said. “I can understand the connection between plums, oranges, watermelons and breasts. But, automobile wipers? Where’s the connection?” “Easy, doc,” the patient said. “One on the left and one on the right!” *giggles x 100* The only obsession that exists in this h

Christmas Da Capo
2006-12-26 16:52:41
(Colored xmas photo from Ostereich used in Sweden) I’ve bee busy today wrapping xmas gifts. Didn’t you know that it’s xmas eve this evening? *lol* It’s xmas Da Capo, the second xmas over here. We’re going to visit Mr L’s niece and her girlfriend this evening to exchange xmas gifts. Once again this home turns over to Santa’s workshop… (…and we’re eating rice pudding as a real Santa!) This is NOT my opinions, but I must admit that it’s kind of witty, so I share it with you anyway :-) A xmas tree is better than a man because: - A xmas tree always stand. - Even small branches gives satiesfaction. - A xmas tree always look good even when the lights is on. - A xmas tree is always pleased with it’s size. - A xmas tree has cute balls. - A xmas tree don’t get mad if you crush one of the balls. - You can throw out a xmas tree when it begin to look bad. - You don’t have to be stucked with a xmas tree year round.

~ Memory For Life~   Memory for life x 2 This is a photo of a road cross box up in the mountain at Crete in Greece, a memory for life - the life of someones near and dear one. Very often with a photo of the passed away person and a candle or some flowers inside it too. I didn’t get the chance to take any closeup of it since it were kind of dangerous to make a stop… Sadly enough we saw these kind of cross boxes EVERYWHERE up in the mountain and it was not hard to understand since these roads were very narrow and curved - up and down the mountains all the time. You can see the edge of the road there, no road fences almost anywhere… Phew! This trip to Crete was also another kind of memory for life for us, since it were our honeymoon and an unbelievable beautiful place to visit. We’ll hold it as one of our dearest memories for the rest of our life! © Lifecruiser (Crete, Greece 2004) NOTE: Every comment is equally welcome, even if youR

The three blooms
2007-01-07 20:02:30
♥ Join GTS ♥ Yesterday when we were visiting my sister and saw her blooming home I decided to write a post connected to this subject. It’s interesting to see how we can use blooming in different ways, not only seeing it in the nature, but to actually use the blooming in other ways. Here you can see one of her livingroom windows, decorated with blooming curtains and with very nicely put flowers. Who wouldn’t love the amaryllis proudly bloom? I love decorations in any kind and especially with flowers since it become more alive. Not too fond of flower pattern in curtains normally, but this one was well-fitted. If we go closer to the window we can see some more of one of the Amaryllis. They really are amazingly big and the white christmas rose as we call it in Sweden, is so well-fitted there too. It’s another expression of White Christmas I think! The red papavers look almost like real flowers wouldn’t you say? Especially with the light on them like

Get layed….
2007-01-09 07:22:34
…back!!!! OK, I may not talk about the subject YOU were interested in (lol) and this is a bit old news since November, but it’s still a very essential one. And I’m quite sure that it really can have an impact on your possibilty to get layed ;-) Scottish and Canadian researchers have with a new form of magnetic resonance imaging (MRI) established that the best position to sit in is to be slightly layed back, at about 135 degrees. The way we have been told so far, in 90 degrees, places an unnecessary strain on our backs. I find this news especially interesting since I’ve noticed that I myself, prefer to sit in that position, despite my back problems. I have been wondering why and almost felt guilty about it, but since I trust my body I have kept going with what has felt the best for me. I also wonder why this haven’t been questioned earlier? It seems like a very basic thing, don’t you think? OK, they have the images now, but shouldn’t they have

The Naked Soap Beauty
2007-01-08 17:31:40
This is an ad from an old Swedish lady magazine called Husmodern (The House Mother) from 1925 that I found. “A healthy and youthful skin is preserved and maintained by The Sasol Soap” Oh, I bet this was an almost naughty ad since she is halfnekkid - at least with that times judgement. I love her hairstyle - and nose! Have you noticed that they seemed to have bigger noses back then? Or is it that all people nowadays that have bigger noses do plastic surgerys? Except from me, of course ;-) Already at that time, there were ads to make us buy more beauty. Incredible. Not much difference from now. When will we ever change? Copyright © 2007 Lifecruiser. Speed issues in the home
2007-01-12 18:16:33
It’s time for a little Friday fun again folks! Don’t read this if your sensitive and don’t blame me for you being so curious that you must read it despite this warning ;-) Märta is a wilde one in her wheelchair and she loves to speed off in the elderly home. She takes the curves on one wheel and make full throttle in the long runway corridors. But, since she and the others at the home not quite “has all the horses home in the stable”, they tolerate each others odditys. One day when Märta accelerated in a corridor, a door opened and Mats came out in the corridor with his arm lifted. “STOP!” he said with a commanding voice. - “Do you have a license for that?” Märta searched in her handbag and got hold of a chocolate wrapping and hold it up. - “OK!” said Mats and Märta went on. When she took the curve at the TV-room with screaming tires, Gösta showed up in front of her and demanded to see her tax receipt. Märta went

Carnations tip dated 1923
2007-01-14 16:59:14
♥ Join GTS ♥ This is an article from the old magazine Husmodern (The House Mother), that I found recently and made me aware of the fact that already in 1923, they were interested in gardening in a more advanced way than I actually thought before that. Not that I didn’t believe that they did gardening at that period, but to write articles about the subject was new to me. I guess some things never change or change very little. Has the evolution in some fields really come forward at all or are we just presuming that it has? *lol* I’ve tried to translate the article: “The foresighted flower friend sets the carnations sprouts in July to get flowers at Christmas In older days it was very common to have carnations in a pot in the homes. Then a time period came when they was searching for more easy cultivated flowers to the window garden and the carnation pot disappeared. Though recently has the interest for more complicated, more advanced pot flower cultivati

Not exactly sexy phone calls
2007-01-15 10:03:57
So, it’s not only Monday morning, but I have to do pesty phone calls too…. Not exactly sexy ones, despite the high groaning factor and the fact that they all want my body in one way or another ;-) No, what do you say about this: 1) The Dentist: I have a big hole in a tooth because I lost a big part of a porcelain filling there - of course on Friday evening when no dentist is available. It’s has been aching all weekend. Going to the dentist is very expensive here in Sweden and this is exactly what I want to invest my money in right now… 2) Gynecologist: I have a hole that needs to be carefully investigated…. *giggles* Seriously, I have problems since I tested new birth control pills 3 years ago, I ve never gotten back to “normal” after that. So it’s not just a yearly control. 3) Doctor: I have several other health issues that needs to be taken care of, but finding a good doctor that cares about his patient’s and that also is willing

Some one kicked my butt very hard (after the post below this) to get me going with them. 1) Phone call to Dentist: Resulting in appointment 30 January, but put on the waiting list if somebody else cancel. Let’s hope that happens before my toothache get worse…. Or another one of me teeth falls out too ;-) 2) Phone call to Gynecologist: Remember I have a hole that needs to be carefully investigated…. *giggles* (see post below) Seriously, I had to call them 3 times about this appointment. Really. That’s what happens when you have no brain after too much pain… First I call them only to get an appointment as late as 13 of February *groaning*. Then after putting down the phone I remembered that I should have asked to be put on the waiting list, so I have to call th

Thirteen helpful facts about Ping
2007-01-18 10:28:51
1. If you want people to read your post as soon as possible - to increase your blogs popularity, you have to ping after you’ve published a post. It’s a very important subject for all bloggers. 2. There are services on the internet that scans blog for updates and publishes the recently updated blogs. As soon as you’ve updated your blog, you should let them know that by sending a ping to that service. 3. A ping is like a handshake between two people. When you’re shaking hands you get to hear the news from her/him. So, by pinging you tell services like blogrolling or Technorati that you’ve updated your blog. 4. In Wordpress: There are a ping function built in already, called ping-o-matic. You find it in Wordpress Admin Panel under Options => Writing. On that page’s (Writing Options) bottom, under the header “Update Services” You can se a box where it already is written rpc.pingomatic.com. 5. Wordpress is executing the ping automatically,

Hurry to Cockpit(t)
2007-01-19 13:52:20
We seem to have gotten bad Friday habits here and I blame that on TorAa which actually requested this last Friday, so blame it all on him folks ;-) The pilot takes the microphone and tell the passengers that the flight to Las Vegas is started, which way they’re going to fly and supposed arrival to the destination. When that is done he wishes the passangers a nice flight, but he forget to turn off the mic. - Brad, have you set the autopilot on Las Vegas? - Yes, it’s done. Now I’ll go and poop, then I’ll go and screw the shit out of Hilary! - She is always horny and willing to have a quicky in the pentry. All the passengers heard this and even the other staff in the cabin. A stewardess comes running in the middle passage but falls and is laying on the floor. A passenger pat her on the shoulder and says: - You don’t have to be in such hurry, he said he should poop first…. Do you want to know what the word pitt from this post heading means in Swedish? C

Iguazu has 275 (!) waterfalls with an average height of 40 an 80 meters! Much more beautiful than The Niagara Falls! We were visiting Niagara the month before, so we really had it fresh in our memories for comparison. The Iguazu falls is situated in the beautiful Iguazu National Park, which has 67.000 hectars of tropical rainforest, so it really is out in the nature and not at a city area like Niagara falls. The Vikings were not stupid
2007-01-22 15:46:21
They say that the Vikings had a saying like this: “Those who know nothing but their home are stupid”. Now, I may not take it that far, but to conquer the world doesn’t sound that bad to me today. After all it’s Monday, it should be ’nuff said. But just to add some juicy stuff to that ’nuff, I throw in a late night and too early morning, resulting in a dentist torture of me (I got a cancelled appointment) and a little nice surprise nauseous for Mr Lifecruiser. Good (?) thing though is that the dentist agreed with me to go on the cheaper (?) filling with plastic instead of porcelain, but it still cost me 750 SEK ($107) for just one tooth filling. On top of that we have lost the warmth weather. It has been snowing and it’s cold. They say that it’s going to continue and even become colder. I don’t like snow and to slip around which makes my back worse. Or to dress in skipants with suspenders looking like a 5 year old kid going out to
