O'Neal was charged with negligent discharge of a firearm and assault with a deadly weapon after a fight with his son, Griffin O'Neal. Police revealed that O'Neal fired at least one gunshot during the brawl with his son and Griffin's female friend was inadvertently injured at the scene, which resulted in her being transported to a local hospital. At this time, it hasn't been revealed whether the female's injury was a direct result of the gunshot. O'Neal was later released after posting $50,000 bail.
